Here are some tips for all death metal drummers out there.
A bunch of short clips narrated by Lucass (Esqarial, Sammath Naur, Rebelium, GNIDA). Hope it helps!
After 10 years from the publication of this video I still agree with what is shown and said... :)

Awesome man! To play on that speed, do not you get blister on your fingers often? and then for the kick, do you have any tips to maintain the same strength between foot? My left foot got tired easily, so it always messed everything up. Thanks!

@nerdpwner3000 Hey! This one was a '04 Pearl EX Export Kit. Quite a cheap set, but when you know how to take care of it - it'd sound simply great :) Luc

@Lucass10 you're fast and accurate.awesome vids! do you use smaller size of drumsticks to make it faster ? how many years of practice to took you to this level ? just wondering by the way keep it brutal \m/ \m/
@YanYinYan
@YanYinYan 13 лет назад
@Lucass10 i mean you use trigger. the attrack / punch is weak ,but triggers can make one to equal the same punch and release everytime you hit it. so if you dont use the triggers i believe the blast best attack is weak. but great speed you play.thats all.

@@Lucassdrummer Rad man, I appreciate the response and intel brother. i am glad to hear that keeping up to my fav tracks/bands is in fact a productive tool since it seems to be difficult to get into the right level of inspiration and energy only to the sound of my shitty trainwreck blasts. i record absolutely everything and there apears to be signs of minuscule progress after-all.

Hey Lucas, glad you're doing well dude! Are you playing doubles with your feet in parts of this?
@THEROVERDUDE13
@THEROVERDUDE13 12 лет назад
how do you kick the bass that fast
@Kerosian1
@Kerosian1 12 лет назад
I use hybrid technique for tempos over 220... up to around 250-260. Its an alternative to check out. Plenty of power and you can accent at high tempo.
@jassumhimen
@jassumhimen 12 лет назад
yeah but triggers also make one hit equal to the other so if I hit harder with my right foot like accenting and softer with my left foot the trigger will make them sound identical...so mistakes are harder to hear
@ChopsMaster1
@ChopsMaster1 14 лет назад
Do a Video on your foot technique, and is your bass drum triggered. cause i have never heard an acoustic bass that sounds like that.
@JakeHussDrums
@JakeHussDrums 12 лет назад
Is your bass like electric or something?
@simonpvo2
@simonpvo2 12 лет назад
@Lucass10 He is just saying that your don't hit the drums fast enough, because you are using triggers. Obviously you did only use it on the kick if im correct, and just because you used the trigger doesn't mean you don't hit it hard enough, so i don't understand why he "Or other persons i've seen om youtube" bash on drummers who uses triggers. The way i see triggers, is to get a better "Sound" out of your kick drum.

You're a funny dude man :) A Fast & Funny, holy shit Question: Can you explain your finger technique more closely: where's the rotating point of the stick for max speed single stroke rolls? is it on your thumb? somewhere else? where's the turning point (forgot name) etc. main fingers to use? etc.
