Thank you my dude! I’ve been in a total Brutal Deathmetal phase the last couple months, Mortal Decay, Deeds of Flesh, Repudilation, Cenotaph, ect. As soon as I saw there was a vid. I hopped out of bed and grabbed my axe to see whatcha had for me. Thanks Dunn!

@DUNN.. yeah man, I know what you mean. Sometimes I'll sit there unplugged and try some stuff out, and have zero inspiration, but as soon as I fire up the tubes and crank up the gain, I start to make bad music happen faster 😅

definitely a cool riff but i definitely wouldn’t say it’s a brutal death metal riff. old school death metal would probably be a better classification. awesome vid nonetheless
Appreciate the feedback, I’m definitely no expert I think I just like the descriptive term. What bands or riffs are brutal death metal and is that a sub genre?
@@DUNN.. it is a subgenre, bands that fall under the brutal death metal umbrella would be bands like devourment or defeated sanity. there’s also slamming death metal (slam for short) which is kinda like brutal death metal’s caveman cousin. bands that would be considered slam would be abominable putridity and waking the cadaver.
i should state that defeated sanity’s later discography more closely resembles technical death metal. for the brutal death metal sound i’d look into their earlier catalog.
