I love how Matsuda steps forward to defend Light. That shows just how compassionate he is to everyone. Plus I agree with him that although L is right, it is a pretty cruel accusation.
Light and L playing chess together reminds me of Sherlock Holmes and Professor James Moriarty and Professor X and Magneto the way they all played chess with one another
Yeah! L ate chocolate to take Mello's place since there was no Mello in this movie! I read it in the Wikipedia! That makes a lot of sense since L ate less chocolate in the anime!
Who ever set up that chess game has no idea how to play chess. That position makes no sense the bishop can take the queen the queen is next to an enemy rook like this position would never happen

Isn't that a giveaway when Light is publicly, bluntly blamed in killing 2 people, including his girlfriend - and he isn't a bit shaken? Zero emotion, just a smile - and the one who's indignant & horrified (in his place) is Matsuda?..
This constellation wouldn't happen. The knight would be beaten, before he would even reach the position. And that's not the only problem. Why hasn't Light beaten the Queen already? Why has L only used one rook, while Light has already developed both? The situation makes no sense.
I guess that only means L was holding back in chess and also it was not a checkmate L could have sacrifised the bishop it was not even checkmate at all

@@akiraevangelionultimateali5199 I know. Watari has a different voice actor, and a couple other characters do, as well. Not to mention, there's an extra task force member that isn't in the original series.
