I think Death note music only works when AOT characters are just talking or giving each other an intense stare, but it doesn’t work when they’re transforming and/or looking at the giants. And AOT music sounds kind of overdramatic when it comes to death note.
Exactly. That piano fit so perfectly during that reiner and eren tension conversation on the walls that I had to remind myself that it's not the original ost but it didn't fit at all when the reiner transformation scene happened
@@LegoAnimalCrossingdeath note is more tense character drama, theres not really any moments in it that call for that huge sweeping uber-dramatic orchestral rock that defines most of the aot soundtrack. thats battle music for sure and death note doesnt have any literal battles.
Not really, they're just different soundtracks, Dn soundtracks are more like 200 IQ battle Ost whilst aot is Pure hype and reflects emotions greatly, Overall, death note>>> Mostly because aot has a few Osts that I like the best whilst most of the themes in DN hit different. Edit: Aot Kids are coping hard.
death note music is like for brain games and it's a bit quieter than other intense music cause death note depends on dialogues and monologues while aot's one is for intense action. different genres of music.
the first one with death note music playing over AOT kinda was working for a little bit in the beginning and then became trash after the transformation lol
@@Real_RyyLuckily it's my first anime so no there are no spoilers. And yes, the amount of shock is insane. I wish I could brainwash myself and watch it all over again.
@@Real_Ryy I relate with you. I knew at least 3-4 spoilers myself. But knowing some spoilers affected my thinking, at times it was so much more crazier than non-spoiled case
Tbh even if you put AOT music in nicocado avocado video it's still gonna be epic. I like death note ost (L's piano, lights mysterious theme and religious singing theme), but when you compare it to AOTs epic battle chants it sounds like a child's play.
Not with the horns that death note’s ost has, those horns, jeez man… They hype everything up. I don’t know which song it was but there was like a “roll” that a bunch of trumpets did and it’s iconic
Aot music over death note makes stuff so overdramatic and death note music over aot makes crazy and legit intese scenes feel like simple everyday problems
You should have use other tracks from Death Note, which are way more fitting for a betrayal scene tbh Immanence (DN OST 1) or Fuan (DN OST 2) for example gives you the sinister feeling or if you prefer the more innocent use Dirge (1) and switch it to Semblance of Duelism (2) for the first scene. And for the 2nd AoT scene Suiri (DN OST 2) could fit or even better Ayashige (2) followed by a switch to Low of Solipsm. But good effort!
@@muhammadeyssa23648 He just picked two random songs (mostly cuz of their popularity) but didn’t even think about the change in mood they cause or that they fit at all. The AoT as well as Death Note OST has really amazing pieces. But the first is meant to be epic and moving, while Death Note is more of a supernatural thriller series.
@@Real_Ryy Oh, i see! Sorry for being a little mean earlier. I suggest you checking out some death note ost, as i may recommend Writing Theme A and Writing Theme C along with Requiem for some epic music of the series :) Hope you'll enjoy it! I think the music is pretty intense.
I think Death Note's music fits well for the psychological aspect of AOT, but AOT's music mixed with Death Note gives me a headache considering Death Note's meant to be calmer and less action-packed
Imagine if eren instead getting the founding titan and attack titan, got the death note instead and decided to go to marley and wipe out the leadership one by one.
If someone is music expert he can easily tell this doesn't suit one another one bit...AoT music suits its theme of confusion chaotic uneasiness something bad is happening or going to happen with the factor of strength of character and situation... Whereas Death note music complements its theme of calm intelligence and evil..with time the music gets rough from a simple smooth start to indicate that the plan is progressing towards its finale..its not about brute strength one bit..its amazing...how much thinking goes into music and how music can make or break a film
the last theme you put in when light found the deathnote, that song should have been in the murder of L. And maybe something else for the part where kira reveals himself.
Aot ost in death note is hella dope. It's very optimistic, full of energy, and hype, Dt ost in aot makes the scene more calm. But also making it more tense. It makes us think what will the mc do...?
yeah you tried but the aot ost over the death note scene sounds so overdramatic and you may as well be playing circus music on the aot scene it's so funny
ngl at the ending with the death note I forgot and thought the aot music actually belonged to that specific scene of death note since the music fit really well
“I understood that killing people was a crime, BUT THERE WAS NO OTHER WAY THE WORLD HAD to be fixed”. Which is what makes eren and light or “kira”, the same. Both tried to prevent wars and crimes, only to be stopped by those who didn’t care much about it anyways.
Interesting thing I'm just now noticing about the deathnote scene is no one questions where light got the notebook, or where it went after his death (even in the continuation manga) the police hear he was "given" the deathnote but never try to find out who gave it to him or why it was given to him. Isn't that strange? They know shigami exist(grim reapers) meaning the afterlife exists, but they don't try and find out more. It never even occurs to them that someone else could be handed a notebook if light was. They really suck at their jobs.
I love how there was no way to completely remove the "ohhh ohhhh ohhhh ohhh, ohhhhhh......" That scene is dumb without that... 😮😮😮. That's one of the best OVA in the entire movie ❤😊
This really made me think about how much we associate music with shows, everything felt so off, many thanks to the composers and directors for these masterpieces 🍵
This shows why the music has to pair with the style of the show. There’s too much going on in the aot music for it to go with a show that’s so dialogue heavy, and that’s too much going on in aot for the steady pace of the death note music. They’re both excellent for the shows they go with.
