Death Note, except Light is maniacally convinced that he is Kira and continually confesses to the crime, but without physical evidence he’s just assumed to be clout chasing.
Reminds me of Amadeus, the play version specifically. Salieri attempts to spread the rumour himself that he killed Mozart in a last-ditch effort at being remembered and becoming "immortal" but he ends up surviving his own suicide attempt and his claims are dismissed as the senile ramblings of an old man.
Now i want to see a full series where its exactly that, he genuinely thinks he is kira, but its all coincidence and he is a schizo or something but they all think he is a clout chaser
Light did the same thing after they got his "girlfriend", he played it out as he "might be kira but maybe doesnt know it himself", he explained and got himself into forgetting about the diary with ryok. So he actually did tell L that he is kira, but used other words.
L: "he's an idiot, the probability of him being kira just went down" really tho, if light was an idiot L wouldn't have suspected as much, but i guess the pattern of an idiot would be different so he would suspect of an idiot in that case, although light was pretty idiotic in the way he behaved, yea he killed L but at what price, he lost his chance of making that new world and worst he lost his only friend, after L's death the show felt depressed, light felt depressed

He knew, but the evidence wasn’t strong enough to stick. And when Light effectively proved his innocence, L was frustrated that he might’ve been wrong so he relentlessly pursued Light even afterwards, but again, couldn’t get enough substantial proof.
The note test is actually L confirming Light is Kira. Due to the dates that he faked on the back of the photos, a normal person WOULD probably ask if a fourth note was made to finish the incomplete statement. Light specifically said the actual order Kira did, which is something that Kira would know. It just goes to show how far L had already profiled Kira. (Plus it's a bit of revenge for severing the connection L had with the police and FBI.)
@@michaelcarlton1484 Not really since you can complete a sentence with just the 3 pictures. So if Light wasn't Kira he could still come to the same conclusion that the numbers on the back are just there to trick you into thinking the sentence is incomplete. The whole thing is, Light is not normal, he is very smart and would be able to figure it out even if he wasn't Kira. So while this might make him more suspicious, it doesn't confirm anything. Light could also just play dumb and ask if there's a fourth picture, in this case L would probably say no and correct him anyway. L both wanted to see Lights intelligence and how he would react to being "wrong".
It would be hilarious to read a Death Note parody where Light is desperately trying to tell everyone that he is Kira, that he's the one behind it all, with tons of unquestionable self-incriminating evidence, but everyone completely either ignores it, think he's joking, refuse to believe that such a good, smart student could possibly be Kira, or adamantly suspect someone else to the exclusion of reality, with L constantly coming up with smart explanations as to why Light's claims couldn't possibly confirm that Light is Kira. Then eventually even Light begins doubting he is the one doing the killings, goes mad, ends up dying either by suicide or Ryuk writing his name in the Death Note, and then someone entirely unrelated gets 'unveiled' as the "true" Kira, with everyone utterly convinced that they got the right one. The person in question included.
The person who gets revealed as "Kira" has to be Matsuda. He's both the person no one would suspect, and the one that would most likely be able to be tricked into thinking he actually somehow was Kira.
Light: I'm Kira L: No, I... I know that. I've known that for MONTHS. Is this a confession? Are you ready to tell your dad and the rest of the police too? Or are you just taunting me because I forgot to put a video camera in this room? Because if you're just taunting me then I'm fine going back to our cat and mouse game where I pretend I'm not 100% sure you're Kira, to be honest it's pretty fun

L has all the evidence he needs but is in disbelief that Kira could be so stupid, so he just chooses to ignore the "ill-obtained evidence" to have actual fun when winning
In a way I could kinda see him reacting like this, he expects him to be so coveted and conceited with his murder and image, him suddenly shouting it out loud is like when L introduced himself at the graduation ceremony 😂
Fun fact: There was a murderer in my country who was caught at trial because they submitted some old gloves they found at the murder scene as evidence and he blurted out, "I didn't wear gloves when I killed her anyway"
I love that death note still has such a cult following that we all came here to laugh at an inside joke that hasn't been relevant for 17 years. That second edit had me rolling

Funnily enough, I actually think the only times L ever actually directly asked Light if he was Kira, was when Light had passed off the Death Note and thus genuinely didn't know he was Kira.

Misa wasn’t actually stupid. Just *not on the same level as Light and L. She managed to get Higuchi to admit he was Kira for example and managed to make him stop killing for a while
Honestly, the last one is a pretty good alternative ending. The red eyes, like he got the shinigami eyes in that moment instead of just continuing the charade. Kind of a "nib it in the bud" sort of mentality there.
I've been thinking. What if L just died of a perfectly natural heart attack halfway though the anime. Like everyone would blame kira, but it was just a normal death, just bad timing.
I was giggling madly the whole time, excellent editing and absolutely hilarious. Also, I like to think this is a timeline after the first where L's essentially cursed Light to be a compulsive truth teller but like... he somehow still stumbles into victory despite confessing that he's the mass murderer every three seconds.

The third part is so funny to me I can’t stop laughing about it while watching it 😭 Hearing Light taking himself so seriously saying all this out loud while L is just bewildered next to him

3rd is Light regaining his memories of using the Death Note and then using it to kill L. In the manga/anime, Light has his "I'm God" monologue in his head, but, uh... He's changed his ways now.
Light seriously thinks he can get Naomi’s ID by force like she wasn’t one of the greatest FBI agents in the world and would actually know how to fight. Light is a college student who sits at a desk all day.
The average federal agent is overweight. FBI agents aren't elite fighters, they see investigators. The FBI only has about 50 members in its elite hostage rescue team. An athletic 18 year old would body the average female fbi agent
I honestly think the death note is some type of cursed. I think the first time he wrote in it was genuine curiosity but after you write in it once or something you’re cursed. It’s just the way he acted when his memory’s were erased, he thought that Kira was a bad person and seemed like a genuine good person.
As someone who hasn't seen death note in a long while these scenes might as well be legit lol editing is so good I couldn't even tell what was fake or real.
