The voice actor of Mello when he said "was it Kira?" nailed it amazing! I love his voice as Mello and I'm happy he executed his voice and they chose the right person to play the character. Love Death Note so much.
young boys in animation are often played by women, since there's no risk of their voices suddenly breaking or getting noticeably deeper. near is no exception. i believe the latin spanish dub is the only one where he's played by a boy (bruno coronel).
