His murder had the opposite effect of what they wanted. 30 years plus and people still give him love💖🎧💖 My husband is from Mexico and that's how I found his songs. He was utterly fearless even in his last day. He stood tall and sang even with that horrible death note. They wanted to silence him and instead sealed his legend.

His son Adan Sanchez died in 2004 which he also was a pretty famous singer at the time. Another mexican legend artist that died was Valentin Elizalde. He was killed in 2006 after he was given a warning.

His sons funeral took place in California and they say the police underestimated how famous he was at the time, so it was around 10,000 that attended the public viewing and the crowd got out of control.

That was a great reaction, it's true his voice was not the best but was unique and that's what made him stand out not to mention his lyrics. After all this time I still get a watery eye when I see people react to his music or his death. The game has changed and with fame and money comes the haters and even old friends who you may not have given a Lambo or loaned money to which they take as disrespect as if you owe them something. When you rap or sing songs or make movies you have to be conscience and know you gonna be held accountable for the words you say. You have to rap or sing in generalities and not spit about any particular dude or group or organization. Most importantly you have to be real careful with women cuz as history has shown us many civilizations were torn down because of a woman. Speaking from experience the biggest mistake we make is staying in our hoods or surrounding us with people from our hood. Once you make it get the fuck out, and help your hood and community from a safe distance. Chalino knew who his enemies were and the people close to him were in on it. He should have gotten help from the club owners in Los Angeles who also had ties to organizations down south. Most importantly he should have relocated and moved his family to Los Angeles, like most famous people move to Calabasas where there is 24 hour security and surveillance. Pride is the most dangerous killer in the game. At his level and how fast he was rising someone should have told him that counterintelligence and staying a step ahead of everybody makes you more of a man, pride and balls only mean something when you need them to survive, not to walk into an obvious trap. He could have made 20K locally here in 2 nights then home safely cuz those clubs from down south don’t operate here like they do down there. It’s too late dude is gone and all we have is his music, but pride for him and pride has gotten them all cuz that shit is undefeated in the game just count the dead.
