RBX is keeping it real, being smart about unwanted situations and trying to strive for a positive future rather than just living for the moment and creating longevity for himself and staying away from the BS, Smart Man
This is one of the better interviews seeing that I always wanted to know more about RBX as an artist and he comes off more genuine then a lot of other artists!! just my opinion
I have mad love and respect for RBX. His influence/input on The Chronic was underrated and never really got any widespread/mainstream recognition that he deserves (The RBX Files was a personal classic). He comes off as a real stand up guy that you can learn some wisdom. The fact that he never accepted the gifts that Suge/Death Row tried to give to him really, knowing there legal side of things etc says a lot about his character and mindset
I think everybody appreciates RBX candid and honest interview about Death Row from his lenses. He ain’t trying to be on no tough mancho bravado tip, just telling us like it is. The only questions comes from his experience and encounters with Pac because he was gone when Pac came but other than that everything else been on point.
Just wish RBX would have been able to drop while on deathrow with Dre and Daz production. An album full of stuff like High powered, serial killa, blunt time and remember me. Would have been incredible.
I'm sayin would've been the hardest album at the time and maybe all time. RBX files was hard af but last half of album was not as good. Missing that Dre magic to have a masterpiece!
RBX was a rare and distinctive voice on those tracks. His raps had a serial killer, mad man aura about them...and he was recking shit on da mic!! Especially the Chronic
RBX was a beast on the mic, him, kurupt and rage were the lyrical assassins. Snoop Daz had the smooth flow. Big Nate the king of hooks, Dre with the dopest beats. What a team man
RBX and D.O.C. left even sooner than Dre they were smart too. But Dre was the man in charge there or so he thought, so it makes sense he wouldn't dip as early as them.
@@ChimpusKongus he wouldn't have dropped his album anyway cus Dre wanted to do Rage's album in 94 first then RBX. Suge messed it all up and had Death Row do 2 soundtracks instead Above the Rim and Murder was the Case. Then 95 Suge said no to Rage we're dropping Dogg Pound album Oct 95. That same month Pac got bailed out of jail so all eyez were on him literally and his album dropped Feb 96. Dre left Death Row March 96 to start Aftermath and RBX was the first artist he signed. Plus RBX hated Suge so it wouldn't have lasted for him there. At least he left and dropped RBX Files in 95 which has some bangers but obviously not commercially successful, but better than no album.
RBX stood his Ground to the Fullest...mad Respect to him & at the end of this Interview he kept One hunnid by saying they pull up on you set trippin then you do the same shit back to them & then it goes from there.. whatever happens..happens💯
RBX was very underrated Dude dope Everyone should know that the music executives are a piece of something that comes out the rear end of a dog Just watch where you're going if you get into the business
I would tell everybody to go to wherever you get your music and look up the song by RBX called “Streetz” because it is quintessential lessons. You get the entire sense of how this interview went in music form.
It got to a point where the Death Row security was beating up knocking out and robbing ordinary fans. Nate Dogg said he never went to the studio without his gun
See, that's why artists ended up runnin' for the hills. Artists want to be artists - not target practice. A record label worth hundreds of millions of dollars destroyed on some dumb sh¡t that was 100% preventable. Man, we're here to work and make history. We ain't here for the bullsh¡t. Dre separated himself and WON.
....and the crazy part is, they can't even talk the REAL shit that won't on. A lot of shit don't even get talked about. I mean, what you expect when Suge wanted to be this Super Blood Overlord, and he had a militia of ignorant ass gang bangers, ready to turn up just because.
"High Powered" is hands down THE hardest song on The Chronic and RBX smoke that shit! And Rage spittin that lil Jamaican chant in the background alot with that beat is just some of the hardest shit literally ever to be created.
I'm surprised there was never an all out war between the bloods and crips at death row. Because c style, trey dee and rbx being the Crip muscle seem like they would jump at some disrespect and it would be on, especially on behalf of the dogg pound
That’s why they were deemed “the untouchable” death row because they also had reputable bloods on they side as well. They held the music side down and the street side down. Untouchable.
@@jonjones7137 most suge friends got smoked by pirus in house conflict. They didn't get smoked by enemies. They got smoked by people who knew them and knew how and where they moved. The enemies didn't touch them
That's why Dre left. The creative atmosphere was gone, and once Pac got there . . . it was like pouring Gasoline on the fire. Remember it's the "Music Business" and if you wanna get Paid (consistently) ya gotta treat it like a Professional business and act accordingly. Look at the Mega-Success of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.
But this why Dre and a lot of the musicians fake. They love to rap about how hard they are and how you should be a gangster too. But then wanna leave because it get’s too gangster. Broads & Frauds.
@@antcantcook960 yes it’s entertainment but you can’t deny music’s influence over humans. You don’t see boxers or MMA dudes come out to R&B. Most people ain’t playing King Von when at a wedding. So music sets the mood for real life stuff.
@@antcantcook960 Exactly!! So more rappers entertainers should start sayn more this is jus Entertainment for the ppl who think they really living like that .. Jus sayn !! they don’t have 2 but some ppl really be lost off fakeness off what some of them rappers be selling..
That is why albums have the “E” stamp on them, that lets you know it’s Entertainment. These guys left the gangster life to become musicians and nothing more. That life isn’t a movie, people die everyday thinking there is no way out of it, but music was a way out. Maybe y’all should start listening to King Von and all the dumbasses that are in Jail or dead if you’re looking for “real Gangster rappers”
So that means the way the street shit getting mixed up in the music shit BEEN happening. It didn’t just start with this new generation, it only seems like that now because of social media, and every rapper wanna prove how tough they are. 🤦🏿♂️
Eazy had insiders that found out the truth about how Death Row was being ran and people reported it back to him. Eazy was no joke and had many connections. Eazy E is sorely missed and is a legend.
Thinking back now once suge employed real killers to be security it was already over they knew suge was really scared of those guys himself so I could see how it got outta control especially when you make yrsef responsible for feeding these cats
As a REAL DJ: Anytime it gets too weird/awkward/NOT ABOUT THE MUSIC... Bounce... Your Money WILL never be right! Once the group starts fighting each other, usually Over nickels.. it's a wrap!
