+Russellwoot72 You are right! RU-vid was only 5 months old during that time. Chuck had only been dead for 3 years and 7 months. Now he's been dead for 15 years and 3 months.
Without makeup, without fire and smoke, there s no name nor any simbol of the band on the stage Just the sound of the best death metal music of all time R.I.P Chuck

Walamonga 1313 This was one of my first exposures to Chuck in video format. I had been listening since I was a teen, only knew him from pictures but never seen them live. Or even a music video. This Dynamo show I probably watched 100 times, especially since TSOP had Scott, Richard, and Chuck destroying it
I had the privilege of seeing DEATH on their HUMAN tour at the Astoria in London - a fantastic gig. Power, intensity, technical ability and discordant melody unsurpassed.
I never really got into death metal back in the day. I was more into thrash and alternative now I kinda wish that I got into death metal back in the 90's
The "Big four" of Progressive/Technical Death metal: 1. DEATH 2. ATHEIST 3. CYNIC 4. NOCTURNUS If only Chuck were alive..... a tour with those bands would kick so much ass.
Richard Christy's drumming is just amazing in this. For any of you that don't know, it's the same Richard Christy that does prank phone calls on the Howard Stern show nowadays.
Insane tune. RIP Chuck, I luckily got to see them live. Chuck plays an unusually bare guitar, not full of switches, dials and pickups, whammy etc. All excellent musicians and a really well written tune.
I could see the nervousness on face of the other guys thinking Not wanting to put a single wrong note otherwise they might be replaced by other member.
THE SOUND OF PERSEVERANCE? YES, WE HAVE NO DOUBT, BUT ALSO THE SOUND OF PERFECTION... CHUCK, his work will echo forever in eternity. THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT WE GET OUR LIFE FOR... R.I.P AND WE LOVE YOU!!!
First two songs by Death I've listened to are this and Crystal Mountain. I'm amazed at how good most Death Metal really is, since I was previously turned away by Cannibal Corpse's lack of musical creativity... I love these guys, and the genre. I have finally become a proper metalhead. \m/
Who knows, but maybe it was destiny that put Chuck's music in my life. In fact, I first heard Death by mistake. It turns out that it helped me getting over my teenage [until I was like 14 yo]. For some reason, I stopped listening to metal until I was 19. But I am so goddamn sure that CHUCK'S MUSIC is what pulled me forth to join medical school! And now, when I look back and see what happened, I just feel like saying, "Chuck, I shall honor your legacy!" And now I'm crying. HAIL DEATH!
Death is so great, and I have HUGE respect for Chuck. He didn't act at all like anything more than just the every day regular guy. Totally down to earth guy. My dad went to this concert here in the video. Said it was the best concert he'd ever been to. :)
How the hell are people disliking this video!?!? It's got Chuck Schuldiner, and Richard Christie... probably the two best musicians of their era!!! And live to boot!
I still can't understand why the hell he had to die because of not haveing enough money to pay his medical intervention... fucki'n shit!!!! we 'll miss you forever chuck... never had the chance to see him on live and I will haul it until I die... Rest in peace forever great Master
wow i first listened to this band yesterday so im not really into their back story but i red about it now and it´s really fucking sad... i know every death this way is sad but when a great artist dies it just feels so wasted.... money should never be a reason someone has to die
He died because of the strong medicine they were giving him. He was weakened by the cancer treatment and fell ill of pneumonia, which eventually killed him. Why do the good guys always die?

I'd like to pay my respects to the late Chuck Schuldiner on my favorite Death song. To think you were screwed of your life by a tumor. What I wouldn't give to have you back here to make great music for us all in Control Denied, and Death alike. I understand why the good die young. But why gods amongst men like yourself die young, it's just not right. R.I.P Chuck.
You can literally hear all the evolutions of death metal within Death's discography. Early death (basically thrash), then more technical, melodic and progressive till basically modern melodic death. They inspired like 3 waves of extreme metal.
Depending on what you call metal, "Fan Rushes Maynard from Tool" uploaded on June 27, 2005 by user "slvgdvg" predates this video. But yet again "Badass Snowboarding" uploaded on April 24, 2005 (sixth video ever uploaded to RU-vid) has "I Stand Alone" by Godsmack playing in the background, so I guess that was the first metal/hard rock song on the platform.
A decade, its been a decade since Death Metal lost his spine, his creator, a young guy with an inmeasurable talent that looked like a deity, the feeling of emptyness has been a constant and although we are mad because he passed away at the early age of 34 because of a vile eartly illness, we always could find happiness in the sublime legacy he left us. THANKS A LOT CHUCK, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
