I lost my dad when I was 21 to pancreatic cancer. He was my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, and the one human who would find me when I ran away (many times- for a few hours- generally to my friends house a mile away from home bc I learned that I just needed someone to care and listen to me) only to drive me around and _actually listen_ and HEAR me. He affirmed my angst. He affirmed his unconditional love. He never yelled. I’m a bio woman so I can’t identify as anything but, however I can identify as a kid who lost her dad and has spent these last many years wishing he wasn’t taken so soon. I’m still a hot mess but I’m not running away anymore! Not from life or my feelings. I’ve come a long way & I attribute my journey to my father who never gave up on me. So how can I give up on myself? ♥️ I cannot fathom being so innately dark and angry and hurt, so as to stoop so low by actively typing and posting vile comments, to a complete stranger nonetheless, for all to see. Hurt people hurt people. Certainly not an excuse, just an observation. You’re winning at life, my dear. And jealousy is a disease.

My deepest condolences Mathilda. Losing a parent gives you a sort of emptiness that leaves you feeling hollow in the strangest of ways. Like part of you has dissapated into the air and blown away. I have recently lost my father as well, it was quite unexpected and has left a thorn in my side. I love your content. My father passed away when I was a bit younger than you, but we did not have a good relationship at all. Part of it I thought was because I was not "street or thug" enough for him and didn't fit the classical "Black" child extectations. Later I found out that I was not as good at hiding my Transgender true self as I thought I did. Either way, he was a father, but I hear stories such as yours and wish that I had a Dad and not a father. With those that post hateful messages to you, I have to say with love and respect, that this is sadly part of being a minority in all its forms. When people say harmful statements to me about being Transgender, I almost have to laugh at them. I tell them that they can not hold a candle next to the racist that I grew up with in the 1980s. So, draw strength from other minority groups and keep moving forward. Stay sweet and stay strong, Karen Marie.

You're beautiful. Try not to be so sensitive about age because you are what you are. I will be 55 next month and have a rare muscle disease. I'm learning to live with using a walker and I hate it. I miss being able to walk and work. I am (still) overweight and short so we have NOTHING in common but I respect you. I have had weight loss surgery and have had many health issues and my body is much older than 54. I have a 15 yo autistic daughter, and watching your channel helps me to learn more about youngsters and how they feel about body image.

Was hoping I could see you in your wedding dress I bet you were beautiful as a bride should be! Sorry about your dad Mathilda. You listen to your heart and that is good. A little note for the anti-trans folks: Trans women are women and trans men are men, period. If you people don't approve then don't comment and swipe to the next short. It hurts those beings and you don't even realize the pain they go through just so they can be themselves and go by their daily lives. You don't get to choose to be a boy or a girl when you enter mortal life. You don't know what it's like being rejected by friends and family when you realize that you struggle with your Physical s** and your Gender Identity that does not match. Some have serious situations regarding suicide attempts because of all this anti-trans events on social media and other matters. Mathilda is strong and she will always be. Maybe not physically but everyone has that spark in them that speaks to them. Treat others like how you want to be treated.
