If you have been keeping up with the channel then you know I did a removal and install video for both the front and rear tire. Rear tire seems to be okay as of right now, but the front? NIGHTMARE!!!
Cycle gear charged me 20 dollars for a tube that was the WRONG SIZE! My bike calls for a 100/90-19 tube and they put a 110/90-19 tube and which is what i told them not to install tire wise. They tried pursuading me into buying a tire too big saying "We can make this tire work it will fit" I said no and was forced to buy the tire and ship it there. Then they put the wrong size tube in causing the bike tire not to set right and thus giving me an uneven rotation.
THENNNNN they didnt balance it right... So i called them and asked when their balance machine was last calibrated and they said it was brand new... It was very much out of balance with two whole ounces. It needed an entire ounce taken off which is a lot.
This cycle gear is under an hour and a half away from me and to have to take the tire off leave the bike, drive up there with the tire wait ANOTHER 2-3 hours and then hope they did it right the second time.
Thats where FullThrottle PowerSports came to save the day. Their Address in located here in Chestertown, MD. I didn't even have an appointment which i don't recommend you do at a shop but he took care of me as he ALWAYS does. Not only did he take me in on the spot but he showed me everywhere they messed up on and explained to me the fundamentals of service and why cycle gear is not prepared to change tires. "You get what you pay for" he said.
So a big thank you to Bill Bugaj at FullThrottle PowerSports for helping me out!
I received the wrong tube, they didn't balance it, andddd they didn't check the bead to make sure it set right. This could have killed me especially with the death wobble on the highway could have made me wipe out. Would have been a bad day for cycle gear and their workers.
Anyways, with the season coming to an end, ill be posting every 2-3 weeks now and will plan to come back strong this summer riding season.
