Glad you’re hyped too! Thanks so much for the support :) The best explanation is I’ve changed my content so many times that my audience keeps changing. But these 101 videos tend to start slow and then pick up closer to launch, they also get more views by non-subs than my usual videos. Lots of factors but I hope that explains things :)
@@jayveeeee as an editor myself I can tell you out so much work into this and that’s just the editing side the script must be even worse. Hope this gets the traffic it deserves eventually keep it up
This is the best narrative of Deathloop I have heard. Your editing, sound track and voice narration are top notch. I'm still learning the game but it's awesome like Dishonored series. Thank you
This game is perfect for my adhd son. He'll play for hours thinking hes advancing to next level, all the while he keeps playing the same map, killing the same mindless bots and losing the same weapons and upgrades over and over again. Probably gonna get him an accountant simulator game next Christmas to top this one and if he really likes the mundane routine crap, I'm gonna get him the cloud simulator game and really watch him go nowhere but in front of the screen. 👌
Arkane Studio has done an excellent job with all their games so with studio we trust. Great combat, great mechanics, great level designs, great art direction.
@@javierlandaverde4108 I think this was mostly a reference to my "Valhalla disappointed me" video. It's always weird to me when I hear "don't get hyped so you don't get disappointed". That's... Not how it works for me haha.
@@jayveeeee that’s not how it works for anyone. The key is managing ones own expectations and adjusting properly like any sound minded person would if something doesn’t live up to expectations.
jayvee you knocked it out of the park home run. i already been pre ordered deathloop deluxe edition at my local gamestop. now my hype meter radar is in the air sky rocket now.
I guess I should get a vacation in September. Deathloop, Life is Strange - I cannot be distracted by my work, when couple of good games are supposed to be released
i'm super hyped about this game and this game has interesting mechanics and how a rival assassin hunts you down it's just a interesting game in genraeal
Little disappointing you can't really do non-lethal. But everything else looks insanely good, love the approach to re-playability, which are these games bread and butter. So much of this game looks amazing. For sure got a feeling it'll sit along side my yearly playthroughs of the Dishonoured and Prey games. Can't wait to play this game and Weird West!
No sense in this game. It's a loop Game, so even if you kill people they are alive next day. When you kill someone, it disappear from the map. It would make sense to don't kill them and leave them sleeping on the ground waiting to be discover.
Damn, I wasn’t even interested in this game until I watched this video. It seems like something I might really want to play! Thanks for the info dump, Jayvee!
This looks really good, all of their previous games were absolute gems! I am very vary now becuse of you know what, but Arkane has delivered every time. Lets hope this will be great!
Oh, and point №000 - Despite it being Arkance Studios title with very promising trailer, DON'T overhype the game for yourself:D Games always have strict limits on reactivity and causality since we're not yet anywhere near Star Trek tech.
Hmmm... Arkane games are immersive sims. These are usually pretty impressive in terms of cause and effect compared to most other genres. Why would people not get hyped for that?
@@jayveeeee Because hype has no limits, but reality does. It's one thing to expect an upgrade on Prey(3), but another one to start dreaming up something that can't be real. Most likely suspect would be reactivity between main character and their rival(protege?) - she's supposed to remember everything we've done too and that means reaction. And nowadays it means prerecorded programmed response. How many loops until she starts to loop herself? Or will she be mute the whole time? P.S.: why change the comment instead of posting other one?
@@TheArklyte because I’d rather explain why I thought this was a weird comment. I generally just don’t get the point of telling people there are limits on possibilities so you shouldn’t get hyped lol. I think people know this, even when a developer says they focused on it as a feature. It’s like saying a shooter will be bad because there’s only 10 weapons and it works like most other games. Yeah, okay, but you’re ignoring all of the other aspects of what makes a game fun. People can enjoy those 10 weapons if they’re well made and fun to use. Let people be hyped :)
Ironically I wonder if this game will have as much replayability as arkane games usually naturally have or if it will be restricted by the loop. Like will there only be a certain amount of specific ways to kill everyone leaving no point in trying to figure out other ways or optimal ways and just stick to the tried and true methods. Basically will the loop take away any reason or incentive to experiment and explore.
Any idea what the two Deluxe edition trinkets will do? Its a first person shooter so the outfits are kind of pointless but may get the Deluxe to support the game if can find out what they actually are.
If i have allready killed 3 vissionary once.. but they are still alive... i have followed visionary leads and done 3 .. but still have 4 or 5 to do ... i have done everything wrong and i have just loosed my time ??? I didn t advance in the story ?
I'm with you. I loved Dishonored 1 and 2 and as cool as it is to see a shooter/action variant of titles, something about Deathloop isn't grabbing me THAT much. I think to a point it's the approach they're taking; the emphasis on a single event rather than a winding story, which is what we're used to in game narratives development. That said, that concept is the same thing making me think I should just jump in and try it out lol
Loving this game but being a super powered John wick is just not the reality of the gameplay. Being able to combo together kills seamlessly and stylishly is way harder then it looks. For example lifting a person with telekinesis then sticking a prox mine on them like in the gameplay demo can’t be done since those two tools are bound to the same button.
I find the game still so confusing. There is no real help video with commentary. So should I kill each visionary starting from morning afternoon evening and night ? If I don't care about the perks and upgrades and just get a sniper rifle and a silenced pistol . Thanks
Ah. I would have preferred a real timer instead of what is basically a turn limit. The excuse that players like to explore things in their own pace makes no sense, since you can dedicate "tries" to exploring and figuring out your next try. There wouldn't be a penalty to exploring in that regard with a real timer. Pretty lame. I'd say the whole point of a time loop mechanic is to use actual time, so the player perfects different areas gradually, essentially learning to speedrun the game.
After Dishonored 2, Prey and this shit it's obvious that Arkane knows how to make boring games! It was only €23 but that's the last time I'm throwing money at their shit.
