This time on Deathwish Vague Industries Josh Mazerolle and his gang of would be mechanics are building Fat Erik his very own Turbo Deathwish Hilux. Now we all know that Erik is a little different so of course he wanted a different engine in his 1978 Toyota Hilux Build. What better than one of the most iconic diesel engines ever produced. That's right you guessed it! This Toyota Hilux is getting a 7.3 Powerstroke engine swap. Only problem is that this massive diesel engine will not fit in the stock body so a custom chassis is getting built and then the guys are widening the Hilux Cab 16" and stretching it 4". With the help of Rev's Enterprises and Rattlebox Fab they are attemping to build this one of a kind diesel hilux in just 30 days. You gotta love that 7.3 Powerstroke Turbo Whistle! Will they get it done in time or will they be a day late like always? @@BustedKnuckleVideo Nah not the same level at all, Deathwish is much more real ;) Used to enjoy RK back before the real money latched on & ran away with it, still watched while it was free, but then they got greedy & lost this viewer & my respect (well, not Finnegan etc, they were just doing what they loved and got lucky to be paid for it). I "pay" the channels i like by watching ads not by throwing cash at a management company. All I ask is, if it stops being fun, stop doing vids because it's meant to be fun :) Take care & all you and yours stay safe in this crazy year we're having.

@@southernwulf3335 I love both. Hate working on duramax more than anything. I used to be a cummins guy. Until I got my 6.0 and the way the power hits of a turbo diesel v8 is like nothing else. The top end keeps going where cummins runs out of steam.

They start fine as long as the glow plugs and gp relay are good. Mine starts under twenty degrees without being plugged in.

I have my four-year-old grandson but watches every he calls him rock hopper videos and we watched many of them to and three times and they don’t ever come as far as New Hampshire or anywhere close I’m curious to know in one of the videos I saw you guys build the cages for these cars is there any chance that someday over the summer there would be one of these things that runs in New Hampshire? ICP sensors suck when they go out. (tip) if it ever goes out. you can unplug it to get ya home. but i wouldnt recomend travling very far with it unpluged

If you really want that build to be a death wish, get a irate diesel t4 kit with s3-s400 series turbo, 250-300cc injectors, electric fuel and that 7.3 will make 600-700+ hp

I think ditching the accessory brackets, AC compressor and relocating the alternator would clean up the looks a lot.

Removing the AC compressor and it's bracket seems straight forward, and then building a new steel bracket to move the alternator lower seems like a cake walk compared to widening the body. It's a cool truck, but just offering a suggestion to maybe improve aesthetics a bit.

@@BustedKnuckleVideo I mean, we both know that's not true given the amount of effort that was put into widening the cab and forming all those custom panels you made. Plus, ditching the compressor bracket and relocating the alternator would also give better visibility and drop some weight off the front end. Like I said, they were just suggestions - no need to get defensive. It's not like I'm attacking the truck here...
