My sixth in a series of DeBarge remixes. Created using the original 48-track recording session, enjoy a new intro, outro, unused vocals and much more. Free download at www.groovefunkel.com.
My goodness!! You took the essence of this song and made it into a gospel hymn that I will be singing throughout the rest of this weekend! Tears in my eyes as I raise them to the heavens...thankful that folks like you have continued to make the music of our day unique to the times! Thank you!!
I would be in heaven if you could do a remix of YouWear it Well and Somebody loves you. Thank you for the thoughtful and excellent work you put in in all these remixes.
This is the best remix I have ever heard. Everything flow so smoothly. Only if you could let us hear more of the strings towards to the end that would be fantastic.
Groove, Groove, Groove.......YOU KNOCKED THIS OUT OF THE PARK! The background works perfectly, as always, and the balance you created in the chorus ~SUPERB! Amazing that I was thinking the harmonica brought Stevie Wonder to mind, and I had no idea he was playing it. 🤗 And shout out to Harvey Mason and Paul Jackson, Jr., names I am familiar with because of my affinity for Smooth Jazz. No Funk today, just Smooth Groove. 🎶🎧🎹
Wow, wow and wow! This just knocked me down. Can't begin to explain how much I appreciate your work on this remix. Outstanding, incredible, and thank you.
@groovefunkel you're welcome, indeed. Took me back to Christmas in the 7th grade, blasting this on my brand new boom box. Life was simple, and music was still real vocals and instruments. I've thoroughly enjoyed all your other remixes. But this is the ONE for me, in a special way ironically. Keep doing your thing. It's definitely working.
I may be in the minority here, but I would love to hear you remix "Stay With Me", "Dance All Night", or "Queen of my heart". You cant go wrong with any Debarge song thought. Great work as always!
How is this possible? Your work of art sounds better than their original recording. I struggle to go back to DeBarge content because it was my 1st time watching a F1 tornado ravage a family from top to bottom. No one was spared and it occurred with the cameras running. From a distance they appeared to have it all!
@@groovefunkel One day you may need to share with us how you get your inspiration for taking on a new song before you set to work on mixing. Loved what you did with Borderline (Madonna). A lot of art going on here!
@@chrispnw2547 First, I need the multitracks in order to take on a project. While I have a bunch, I am always on the prowl for more. They are getting harder to come by. With this said, I have a broad range of musical tastes, but 70's and 80's top 40 is the sweet spot for me. Glad you enjoyed the Madonna.
...Oh, I'd would K-ILL for "Who's Holding Donna Now" touched by The Groove-F! ...It peaked at #6 Pop / #2 R&B (for 4 weeks), August 1985.... memories, Man, WHEW....
Missing MJ these days... EL, had his own style that would be hard to emulate. His natural tenor to falsetto voice was impeccable! Obviously, Michael influenced the entire DeBarge family from Bobby to EL!
