@@rogeliomedina8726 ell actually Bobby Debarge sings just like EL, or the other way around. In fact he sang some of the ad-libs from their earlier work. Because EL's voice wasn't mature enough at the time. According to Bunny in her book.
Good news is most of them lived through the worst so they still have the opportunity to live a healthy life full of faith, family togetherness and joy. It's not over
According to Bunny in her biography, she was high 90% of the time. They had a tortured upbringing. They all ended up drug addicts. I pray that God heals their emotional scars.
Smokey Robinson underrated? On Mars? This man has gotten his props for decades. One of the most talented people in the history of music-and it’s acknowledged!
@@DeCurtaRican Not true, Bobby even in El's opinion is literally THEE BEST voice in the family & he is most assuredly THEE BEST FALSETTO VOICE EVER RECORDED. He indeed was a tremendous vocal talent. Not many who weren't alive at that time know how amazing of a sanger Bobby was. But he alone was El's hugest influence & even Berry Gordy was noted as saying that Bobby Debarge was thee MOST TALENTED guy he'd ever worked with. The boy was BAD & that's NOT to take away from Eldra bcuz he is indeed 1 of my all time favorites, but Bobby was plain & simply just pure-t BAAAAADDDDDDD to the bone. If you love Eldra, you will definitely be able to appreciate & acknowledge the outstanding talent of his Big Bro & that phenomenal gifting he had in his throat. Please search: Switch, "There'll Never Be" & "I Call Your Name" & listen for the beauty in his pure, natural falsetto & how he switches in & out of his falsetto voice, back down into his natural tenor, in & out so effortlessly, so electric, so colorful, so powerful, yet seductive & romantic, he takes you & ur emotions on a full journey from beginning to end & I promise, you'll be so glad you gave it a try bcuz it'll become 2 of ur go-to CLASSIC BANGERS, from none other than the LATE, GREAT BOBBY DEBARGE, THEE BEST FALSETTO EVER RECORDED😉👍🏾!!!!
They didn't come off as putting on an act or a show, they just have it. Just natural talent. Its just God given anointing in those voices. That's why it's so effortlessly executed.
@MrFREESTYLEKING17 Was thinking the same thing lol. Like the Jackson, the Isleys, so many groups to consider.....I kind of think DeBarge's complexion played in their favor. Gladly their talent was superb too and their music great.
The Debarge are a very beautiful family .El and Bobby were always my two favorites. Bobby, God rest his soul was a handsome, handsome young man. El is beautiful. But I have to say, the Jacksons is on that level too. Michael, Janet, La Toya , Rebie in particular. God rest Michael's soul , but those beautiful sad brown eyes and that beautiful smile he possessed was second to none. Janet has the same eyes and smile as her incredibly handsome older brother. All those brothers were handsome. Lol.
Although they were very attractive, especially Bobby, Bonnie, El, and James, I believe the Jacksons were the most beautiful family in entertainment, especially in the 70's😍!!!
You notice within the first 20 seconds how good their harmony sound and it's just as good as the record. This was before Autotune and electronic pitch control. You had to actually sing and catch the beat/groove/melody.
This is the actual recording session, not of “All This Love”, but of the prerecorded backing vocals for their Mowtown 25 performance back in 1983. The next set of Jackson vocals is from their prerecorded backing vocals from their legendary performance. The lead singers of their respective groups, El and Michael actually sang live. That’s why when the Jacksons were performing “I’ll Be There“ and Jermaine starts to sing his solo his mic is off and he had to share the mic that Michael was holding. Classic night.
Same way people drank or were high while recording. Its crazy though how the second hand smoke was totally ok..lol. So glad I don't have to suffer through that anymore!
Jesus those harmonies just on the spot like tying a shoe.I love this family they been through enough, bunny, james and el are doing well to my knowledge I hope the other two brothers are aswell
Debarge family was before my time, I was born at the end of their run in the music industry. I am now discovering their entire discography and am amazed at not only the overwhelming talent they had but how many of their songs have been sampled in hiphop, rap & r&b. They are probably one of the most sampled group of artists of all time
@@jayskicksnfits9372 if you don’t get out of here with that. It’s RU-vid. Knowing the difference between there and their does not make you a genius. You probably just learned this and somehow think you’re Einstein
man i love youtube you can find anything.. been on a debarge kick since the story.. they sound so damn great... thats when you know you can sing, cigarettes no autotune..pure voice ...amazing... so sad for whats happened to them and all they went through

She might not have been high but you can definitely tell she crazy as hell. You can see that in her behavior for sure. I know a crazy broad when I see one.
James was a hottie,he was my favorite one in the 80s. Ms Denise Matthews known as Vanity and Ms.Janet Jackson were so lucky to have him for a short while back than.
The Debarge's played a major role in my music listening history, good memories 👍🏾, i was born in 1969, beautiful harmonies in their songs. Respect to the Debarge's !
Wow... when I was buying these records this is what was going on behind the scenes...makes that era even more real... love them and their music... I thank everyone in the background for beautiful memories.
They were THE most talented family next to the Jackson family. Such a good looking family at that. So sorry to see how they ending up. It always make me sad. I pray for them all.
when you actually had to have talent and no machinery could help you out like it could now, and the female voice just connects and blends that debarge sound together so well 😊👍
My mom got me a debarge tape for my 7th birthday and I was so excited..I don't even remember if I got anything else and it wouldn't have even mattered..I was just so happy, I loved their music so much
I was just thinking about this video. It shows how talented the siblings were. Debarge is one of the most under rated groups of all time. I just love their voice and their music
You Go Bunny!!!!!! Smoking away & singing so pretty!!! I Love how they took critique & didn’t point out who had made the mistake in the 1st bar!!!! I Absolutely Adore This Family & Smokey’s Wife is so Beautiful!!! This group sung just as well as the Jackson Five & I know things were political with this particular situation since my Ex worked closely with these talented & Brilliant artist as well.
@@christinagraham2915 Yes I know this was Mrs. Claudette. She was Smokey’s first wife & sang with the Miracles also. I also worked for Motown & Love my Motown Artist (all of them)!!!
whoever that is over there on the left of the screen, He's really grooving man. God bless their souls and their lives. Thank you for such fun memories Family
Good stuff. A lot of their hits are still sampled today. Love to see artists at the peak of their powers. #classic. R&B forever. El's voice certainly stands out with his high soprano-ish voice. He was the centerpiece that brought everything together
I love debarge family especially Bobby. I saw the movie and i just wish he could have gotten help. But he is at peace and the memories can no longer haunt him.
El DeBarge is so handsome he looks so so cute on that white outfit and he has a beautiful hair. They all are a good looking family. My favorite Group. I like all of them.
Debarge is recording their background vocals for the Motown 25 performance. I wish Smokey had allowed allowed Mark and Randy to keep their original harmony from the record. It lost the warmth with his arrangement here.
