I still love Debarge. It makes me sad this family didn't reach their full potential. They are all so talented. They wrote, played, produced. They were the real deal. El still has really nice music. Debarge, and Switch!
they reach it...couldn't sustain it but from 1977-1985...is a heck of a run and looks from whence they came...Hell....and found some time to keep that trauma away when they wrote these songs and gave a 12 year old kid in 1982 some great positive music.....externally they had dudes my age think the right when courting a young lady....Thanks Bobby, El and ofcourse sweet Bunny

There were so many great falsettos during this time period alone! **70's and 80's** And we aren't even talking about the 60's and early 70's.

Because young people today, especially in the hood, have very short attention spans and are cynical, plus there is more competing for young people's attentions in the age of the Internet than back in 1983. All the record labels care about is what sells and all the radio stations care about is what brings in ratings.

My sis is El's #1 fan, she love him for years, travel everywhere to his concerts and she never even got a chance to meet or talk to him. Hopefully some day she will finally get a chance to meet him. The amazing thing is that in November 2010, El sings this song in the same musical key hitting those high notes as well!!! His come back is definetly a testiment. He not only still sings well, but looks as good as ever! Welcome back El.

I was watching growing up hip hop the new reality show and James debarge just got out of jail he went back to skid row looking for drugs it was so sad to see his daughter. down there looking for him. praying for all of them. my son said El debarge would be there for day's. he said mom the person has to want to stop......I still love them so much there music is timeless God Bless.all of them😂😥
