Pat's charisma fills every video he is involved in, & brings the most knowlagde & humor, of all the good people at Football Daily & Joe. On the off-chance Pat reads this; thank you for introducing data, & how you watch the game to a 16 year old me. Always level headed in analysis (except for moments of pure savagery), & causing chaos in the debates, you have molded the way I as a 22 year old speak about footballers & teams. Thank you Pat, Football Daily's monetary overlord don't know what they have let go. For once, I will disagree with you & say F*CK the wage structure, they should have made an offer you couldn't refuse.
@@levicoker8937 Neymar is one of my favorite players, but Ronaldinho is the best skiller in the history of the game. Ney is top 10 skillers of all time though.
I just love Pato, I’ve been watching for the last 5 years and seeing people like Hamil, John Babb and now Pato go is emotional but the right decision on a personal note and I’m glad Pat is going to grow on to progress beyond anything, he is the man that got me into thinking about foot in this way. I just wish we had a comeback episode of Hamil, Joe and Pat Sunday vibes that would be awesome but no worries! Love you Pat:))
Teamtalk , so good 😊 Thanks for the great content and massive appreciation to pat. Thanks for blessing us with all the content you have helped to produce. Wishing you all the best, stay awesome ❤
Spurs seem like a pretty easy assessment to me. If they stay healthy, they get top 4, if one of their key players (Son, Maddison, Romero, VDV specifically) they may drop to as low as maybe 6th or 7th. I think realistically speaking their peak is probably 3rd with their floor being probably 5th.
I agree with some of his points, namely the obvious depth issues and that we haven't even fully hit our straps yet, but to say we're not playing like a top 4 team is a bit delusional. The notional idea of what "top 4 team" even means is diluting by the season, with Villa, Brighton and Newcastle laying down a new marker. To be top of the league without being top bins is an achievement in itself. It's what the best teams do.
Pat talking Numbers about spurs, but they have the highest xG and 5th lowest xGa only the point about depth and maddison rings true when looking at underlying Numbers
I think to say Spurs aren't playing as good as a top 4 side isn't accurate. Spurs have definitely been 2nd maybe 3rd behind City and Newcastle. Watching the keeper, full backs and CB's excelling and Maddison and Son both having POTM's has been a joy to watch.
Chest should have been engine. Who has the best stamina in world football. Consistently performing even in the deeper stages of the game. Amrabat (World Cup bias), Rodri, Declan Rice etc.
I love Football Daily but to be fair sometimes it is hard to watch it as a Liverpool fan. 😂 No matter what if they are doing good or bad FD staff will talk the same way about LFC while if Chelsea or Manchester United (which teams are currently lets be honest worse than LFC) finally gets a win they are like "OMG best performance ever maybe they will win the league". 😂 Maybe after Pat leaves you could hire a LFC fan to fill the gap. 🤷♂
How are you guys putting Salah as the “best shooter”? He’s not even close, Son’s weak foot is arguably better at striking the ball than Salah is with his strong foot
Yeah, Salahs goal scoring mainly comes from his positioning, pace and dribbling to create opportunities. Son's goal scoring simply comes from putting the ball in the back of the net whenever he gets the chance, this is backed up by stats. Also of the two, Salah is a lot more likely to shoot, which is also backed by stats.
Pat's take on Spurs seems completely data driven. You can't start claiming Arsenal have played better this season or Newcastle. Basing arguments around xG seems weak when it's so selective. Also ignores that Son outdoes his xG more than any other player in the world. Vicario shouldn't be criticized for doing his job and outdoing the algorithm. Which cares if Spurs only got 1.5xG against Fulham when they won 2-0 comfortably. A poor take. Newcastle have lost every big game they've played this season bad Villa, but battering shite like Sheffield United is applauded, whereas Spurs have actually managed to pick up points in big games and it's not respected?
Pretty much… if you watch spurs plays with your eyes rather than numbers, you can see they play the best football in the league, similar to Arsenal last year. Playing the best football in the league usually puts you amongst the top 3 in the league. OBVIOUSLY CITY is the best team in the league no matter what, but putting arsenal n Newcastle above spurs rn is just disingenuous
Pats the only guy in football media that actually makes me change my opinion on things, because he doesn't really carry any biases he's normally just right about things tbh
A story of an insane football fan who kidnaps football players to create a perfect footballer would be such a great idea for a trashy horror movie lol.
The fact that James Rodríguez wasn't mentioned in the best left foot debate is absolutely crazy. James not only has, in my opinion, the best left foot in the world, but one of the best left feet of all time, the countless world-class goals and assists are undeniably some of the best ever seen.
Son always out performs xg on average.. I agree with Henry, Tottenham will consistently beat bottom 12 which really and truly decides your position Also Tottenham are conceding chances.. But they are scoring 2 plus a game But winning the league no, finishing top 5 yes
@@fredsoh4027 OK but based on the xg argument we should have beat those 2 by 4/5 goals despite the sending off Actually but marginal points based on statistics Tottenham should be 5th..0.04 points behind Chelsea.. With Liverpool, newscastle and Man city
Pat behaving like everyone in a job when they've handed in their 2 weeks notice and do not give a single solitary s*** about the fallout they may generate is amazing 😂
