There's no point in asking why Sporting didn't sort themselves out before. RVN is in charge in the meantime so there is a plan in place. What is so difficult to understand? Even if United pays the 10M release clause, Sporting still requires the notice period. There isn't anything amateur about it. It's business. There are contracts involved. There are backroom matters involved. The media have circulated Amorim's move to United. The club has not announced the new manager. If Amorim is frustrated by the questions on Man United, it's because the media can't seem to understand that the official announcement has not been made by the club. On Craig's comment about watching Sporting games, Sporting are top of the table. They have the highest goal scorer in the league. Amorim transformed the team. As a youth sports coach, I have given a few of my old man's Pep talks too...I think this very much so applies to Marcus Rashford, who I have liked since he first came onto the pitch in his pro debut. I would love to see him make a comeback and become a club legend moving forward...but to do that, and this is another pocket speech I give my Sons..."you can't let whoever get into your head and stop you from being who you know you should be!" To be fair to united, the only reason everyone is talking about Amorim is because Sporting announced it to their stock exchange while negotiations were still ongoing. This stuff would otherwise happen in the background. United knew it would take time and have an interim manager.

They should have cleared him out years ago. The stop/start form with stops being the majority never helps anyone. Makes me recall when we had to let Pedro go. As good and loved as he was, the bad spells were getting a bit much (nothing remotely close to or as frequent Rashys’, but notably the inability or unwillingness to take players on like before and just passing the ball back.
