DEBATE: Which Team Owns Los Angeles? (LAFC Fan vs LA Galaxy Fan) 

I think the rivalry is great for putting Los Angeles on the Futbol world map! LAFC has upped the game for Galaxy, will make them better for sure. When Giroud comes to town this summer, it will bring even more fans to L.A.! Not quite like when Beckham showed up, but it will be another step up in elevating awareness for local sports fan!!!!

It’s pretty simple: Since LAFC joined the league in 2018, they’ve won multiple trophies and the Galaxy haven’t even played in a final. LAFC have made the playoffs 5 times in 6 seasons, the Galaxy have only made playoffs twice (and were eliminated by LAFC both times). Right now, unless the Galaxy can win their first trophy since Obama was president, LA is Black and Gold

Lafc has beaten Galaxy 3 times of their last 3 meetings with the same score line of 3-2 in all 3 matches Lafc knocked out Galaxy in the playoffs more insult to injury and remember Galaxy got knocked out by lafc TWICE in the playoffs Lafc has won a mls cup with 28 teams in the mls compared to how Galaxy won their mls cups with only 10 teams (4 of those teams no longer exist) Lafcs mls cup run was much more difficult I definitely think lafc is the best LA team in the mls galaxy has not done a thing since 2014 which is Galaxy most difficult mls cup run with 18 teams making a run for it (compare that to modern day 29 teams in mls play) galaxy isn’t relevant at the moment

Follow the $$$$. LAFC is the most expensive club in MLS History as of today. The fanbase is demonstrating increase in following over time. Sure recency bias suggests LAFC is currently "owning" LA. Whatever that means. All three of these "sports analysists" weren't even born during the Galaxy run back in the day, so this is hilarious to begin with. Overall, yes LAFC is dominating the market because LA Loves winners. I have season tickets to LAFC, so yes I am bias, but overall you have Galaxy fans, protesting their own management (rightfully so), but both teams represent LA. Both don't "Own" LA. The FANS OWN LA.
