@@LukasWeber64 no just calling it like I see it, it was boring just because you're stupid enough to be amused at a dull attempt at comedy doesn't mean everyone is
I'm from Texas. Go to the Dallas suburbs ... you'll find these chicks there. To. The. T. No joke, they won't allow ANYTHING media that's _scary, or paranormal or harsh_ in the house because: "That starts fear and bad thoughts. Bad thoughts lead to sin. Sin leads to Hell." 👈 That's an actual quote from my wife's cousins.
The reason this is so funny to me, is because I went to public school in the south. And I can confirm that so many, predominantly, conservative parents think this way. It's not even close to the absurdity of the things you actually hear them say.
You haven't said where in the South you went to school, but in Tennessee, parents neither looked nor acted nor talked like these two. This skit is just stereotyping an entire U.S. region. SNL is not even remotely entertaining these days. It's disappointing when I remember the really funny years.SNL and Mad TV ruled😕
Um yea.. went to school in TN and this was my parents and all of their bible study fuddy duddy once cocain blowing hard rocking 80’s converted to lameness but ugh… thanks for trying to say that “kellie” 🙄
@@tabbyreed8925 shit I think the real problem is all the liberals thinking you're so much better, yea alot of older Christians don't like Halloween because it was a pagan holiday that was literally about devil worship so it's kinda understandable that they don't like it but it's not like liberals are any better go watch one of the thousands of videos of liberals losing their minds and acting like children having a tantrum when they don't get their way yet you have the nerve to claim to be better than Christians just because they're steadfast in their beliefs
Not under my house? Ok that was a mistake or actually so intelligent bc they were talking about witches and of course in wizard of oz a witch does u set a flying house. Mistake or really smart joke? What do I guys think?
@@randomgeekcrap yeah , it was from a local news story from some town in Texas. The woman in the news story was claiming that the movie would conjure up a demon and that the movie is satanic.
@@randomgeekcrap There are actually a number of RU-vid videos about right wing meltdowns over this movie. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Search the title plus "conservative".
Thank you! I live near a high ranking witch…. I have studied satanic things for 7 years… this stuff is very real! I lean towards Jesus! When Luke warm Christians let me down I do t know what to believe in. I am glad to see at least one comment o. Here from a REAL Christian… SNL is trying to laugh about this and normalize this… the occult is VERY real!
What happened to Saturday night live writers? I mean they used to actually try. Now it seems like they're more concerned with shooting shots than being funny it's disgusting how political this show has gotten I'm 40 years old now and growing up Saturday night live was a family event we all sat in front of the TV on our bean bags covered with blanket watching Saturday night live having a blast now I can watch a whole show with barely even smirking smh
The fact that my statement bother you guys shows how politically biased both of you are 💯. LBVS Y'all can go back and look at the sketches of Saturday night live it used to be a "satirical news" comedy show. Now it's a right-wing attacking leftist comedy show
@@bobwilliams3612 I find modern SNL humorous at best. My point is that I miss the days when sketches were laugh out loud ROTF funny and I tend to believe that most veteran fans would agree with me given their history of the show.
Im 38 this is like the 4th generations of SNL cast members and i have never cared less about a cast. I've watched guys like Adam Sandler, David Spade, John Candy, Chris Farley, Chris Rock, Will Ferrell, Bill Hader, Mike Meyers, Phil Hartman, The GOAT Norm Macdonald, Andy Sandberg/Lonely Island, Fred Armisen, Jim Breuer, Tina Fey, Will Forte, Tim Meadows, Dennis Miller, Tim Robinson, Jason Sudeikis, Rob Riggle, Amy Poelher, tracy morgan....the one thing they all have in common is they all went on to define an era of comedy. Chevy, Aykroyd, Murry, Belushi, Curtin, Murphy and Radner set a precedent of how to define a generation as a Comdian/Writer/Actor, because SNL provides insight into what people think is funny. For the first time ever, I see zero potential in the current cast. The 2 funniest exciting former cast members right now are Tim Robinson (He never fit in and barely made it through 1 season) and Shane Gillis (Never made it on 1 show after being canceled). Tim Robinsons "i think you should leave" blows snl out of the water in terms of funny and exciting. All his skits were rejected by SNL. Shane Gillis "Gilly and Keeves" also blows Present day SNL out of the water. SNL's greatest strength was all was foresight. But now SNL has some how created equities in having negative foresight (AKA the orange man paradox).
@Telisa H It's not a prodigy thing. Tim Robinson and Shane Gillis could have built an era of the show. Instead, they are surpassing it. Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney came on that show together with hilarious ideas they were doing together on the internet already. Instead of fanning, that flame, the cast, and the network snuffed it out. Bascially, they are relegating their sketches to the "cut for time" slot on youtube. Loren Michaels created the show and has a great eye for talent. But he doesn't run the show. Which is why all past cast members hate their experiences on the show, but all love Loren. Loren stays in touch and funds their next projects. All of Tim Robinsons' shows have been produced by Loren. The lonely island boys were the last group that joined and were giving the keys to the show. They were the last prodigies, alongside Bill hader, Fred Armisen, Kristan Wig, Will Forte, Amy Poelher, Darrel Hamond, Maya Rudolph.....How crazy is it thinking about this was a class snl
@@twillymantheoneandonly5587 Thank u for the “behind the scenes “ knowledge. you would think that Someone in charge would listen to Loren since he obviously knows how to identify talent. Media hopefully will listen to the ppl’s opinions and cater to our needs soon. i used to enjoy watching SNL soooo much! i can home or recorded it just to watch the daily showing.
@Telisa H i think after 47 years, Loren focuses on finding guests and taking care of all that entails, finding talent, and focusing on all the moving parts to put on a live show once a week. I think Snl will come back together once a cast comes together and leads the future of comedy instead of follows.
@@OmANnIe Yeah, i heard about that. just another example of misrepresentation of Texas culture. Using an extreme viewpoint to represent the entirety of a group of people.
@@OmANnIe No tf it isn't bruh i've lived here my whole life lol. Many of them are rational people you just have to talk it out. I hate that people make assumptions about culture based off of stereotypes. This SNL sketch gives me the same feeling of someone doing blackface.
Except that during the era you felt was it's high, there were still people who thought it had fallen or become unfunny. Only difference is they didn't spend their time bad mouthing something they didn't like - they just didn't watch it and the people who liked it did watch it.
@@nitro6002 Giving your opinion is bad mouthing? I think we're seeing people calling it like they sees it. Hopefully they get a bit of momentum and salvage the season. It's still early. Lot's of time for them to improve.
