If he isn't out fishing and catching nobody would buy his bait, carp fishing in the UK much is on the bank, and in the community. Word of mouth, why would I buy a bait if the owner doesn't even use it.

@bitterman co that seemed really personal, have you had a bad experience or something. You seem really full of hate. I wont get started on the facts about fish and their concious ability to feel pain or certain cognitive abilities in regards to sensory perception, its all online for you to read and educate yourself on. You should try fishing it may help you to get a righteous and level headed view on my hobby, and allow you to rid yourself of narrowminded misdirected hate and anger that you have in you.

@bitterman co While it is a little barbaric getting fun hunting animals, its also odd seen someone using the term "mammals" and then missing the part where: NO FISHES FEEL NO PAIN, they literally dont have the neurology required to fullfill the concept of pain, they feel as much "pain" as a plant would (in the sense they realize there is damage done to the sistem that is the body) brain spine and nervous systems are not the only requirements to have consciousness of pain

Compare it to a top class tennis player. The big money is in the endorsements but thats because of results on court. no results no endorsement. The tennis player doesnt get someone else to play so he can get more endorsements. In fishing , the endorsement would come in the form of sales of the bait because of who is using it and the results they get.

What is likely true is that fish do not experience pain in the same way we do (we don't really have evidence that mammals do experience pain in the same way we do, nor that you experience it in the same way I do, but it is certainly the case that fish sensation is likely very alien to us). There is still some debate in the scientific literature over whether fish feel pain, but the weight of evidence right now is towards the conclusion that fish do indeed experience conscious pain. Being that I am no vegetarian and only try to limit my intake of meats due to climate change / environmental concerns - I'm not trying to discuss the morality of hunting or eating fish (though catch and release [beyond releasing of juveniles] has never really sat well with me)

I now hope Fishing can become the #1 Global Sport, accolades and wealth unlimited, with The Angling Times delivered to the 'Meaden Estate' by law. Deborah's such a loveable lady, you see. (Just no Mirror Carp, she might start to feel quite queasy. Awww. )

@Andrew Stubbs Not to mention catch and release fishing has been shown to have a terrible mortality rate for fish. It’s not sustainable in the slightest and does permanent harm to the fish. But out of sight, out of mind. You wouldn’t go jamming a hook into the mouth of a mammal and pulling it in for ‘fun’ but people think it’s okay to do it to fish

@@mrsnoop1820 we can get all the nutrients we need from non animal products. There is not a single nutrient in animal products that we cannot get from plants. The difference is there is no cruelty with a vegan/plant based diet.

It's totally different to kill an animal for food than to torture / kill an animal for sport. I'm a vegetarian, but I respect steak eaters more than I respect people that support bull fighting. Not even a great animal lover, but this dude makes products to maim fish, just for vanity.

@@intrepidtomato He practices catch and release. The purpose is to catch and then release the fish in the most humane way possible. Yes it does tap into our primal need to hunt, but it done in a controlled, non-destructive way. When you compare this to the destruction other industries cause its tiny. Take the p*rn industry, it taps into our primal need to have sex and reproduce, but the destruction it causes in the minds of young men and even the damage it causes, in terms of ability to pair bond in the women participating is highly destructive.
