Thank you so much for your words and what you were talking about. Because we are studying a book four siblings and myself and as a family we are trying to heal. What you're saying is exactly what we are dealing with as a family and healing from our past God is helping us to heal tearing back the layers and healing deeper and deeper. There are a few other books that we want to do a book study on and your book may be one of those books that we do a book study on. Again thank you so much.😊❤
The metal detector analogy is so well put. It was so weird though- when I was a kid, these kids stole my metal detector and threw it in the ocean, and it was really lousy. But upon hearing her use that term, it made me realize that that kind of symbolized how at some point, society and conditioning steals away our innate alignment with, and recognition of God's Truth (which is what our emotions were designed to keep us in line with), and makes us gaslight that innate truth from God, and replaces it with the cynical logic of the world and "rationality", which leads to all of the "bad things" in life, relationships, and the world, thay most people constantly blame on God disappointing them in one way or another- but all along, every painful emotion was God desperately trying to make you understand that the bad or unfortunate thing you believed, was a lie, each and every time.
