Used sports- and supercar prices have been increasing during the last period. McLaren values, however, are notorious for their high depreciation rate. But what happened during the last few years? Did values rise with the market trend, drop, or stayed flat?
It turns out that the it depends on the model you are looking at. When compared to cars like the 911 GT3, Audi R8 V10, and Ferrari 488, McLaren values increased in line with the rest of the market. Yet, this only applies to the used cars. New Mclarens still depreciated during the last few years. Albeit it with a lower rate than before. A new 720S, for example, only lost around 10%.
