The show's BEEN making fun of yall homie.......no clue why it took yall this long to realize it. This review wasn't it bro. LIKE THE VID DISCORD SERVER: discord.gg/QPqDVXAw
I always like and subscribe on principle, but everyone I've watched in 2024, are channels I've never seen before. If all those, I'd put you in the top 10%
Thank you for sharing this video with us. This is the *VERY REASON WHY* I stopped watching his channel. He makes good points but 99.9% of what he and his friends do is just shit on everything.
That's not the point lol. It's been making fun of conservatives since season 1. But at least conservatives could still watch it. That's literally the majority of Hollywood movies. Most Hollywood movies do make fun of conservatives and Christians. The thing is, most conservatives and Christians will still watch them and ignore the political stuff if the story is good. The problem is, it was manageable for the first two seasons. Season 3 became more on the nose and season 4 so far is even more obvious about it. There's a limit to how much people can tolerate. People saying that critiquing the politics in a movie isn't valid are wrong. The politics are in fact part of the movie and should be critiqued as well. If you watch a Christian conservative movie that mostly focuses on making fun of liberals and non Christians and focuses more on the Christian message as much as the main plot of the show, liberals will feel it's a trash movie and rightfully so. And it goes both ways. So, would you have preferred it if he made a positive video about it? Yes. Why? Because you agree with the show's message. So his view is one that people agree with. He's not even saying the show is bad lol. He's saying he won't watch season 4. Is that difficult to understand?
The show has been making fun of both sides of the culture war. That’s why everyone liked it, but now it’s picking sides. Sure the show has been “making fun of y’all” but it’s also been making fun of everyone else. If you can’t see that then idk what to say to you “homie” Like the shows been making fun of forced diversity since the beginning.
One of Critical Drinker’s favorite female characters is Stormfront. He hated the scene where Stormfront got a beat down from the other female supes and called it “forced”.
Funny thing it was actually a reverse reference directly from the comics, where Butcher and The Boys jumped Stormfront(in the comics he’s male), while in the show it was female supes jumping a female Stormfront. It’s not forced it’s from source material wtf is he on ☠️☠️☠️
What? He never once said he didn't finish season 3. He said, and im quoting him verbatim, "I kinda checked out after season 3, partly because..." He never at all said he didn't watch the 3rd season
@@VintheBanditwhew if I had a dollar every time I've seen this same, asinine argument from people that like this show. For some reason "liberals" think they're this bastion of intelligence that always knew what the show was about from the beginning, and "conservatives" are just now catching up because liberals are so much smarter than everyone else. 😂 imagine being so up your own arse that you honestly believe this
Yes it would be terrifying if you could name a single example of someone who saw homelander as the good guy (who isn't an incel), unless you mean within the show
It does speak loudly on the cycle of activistic content on the internet. Curiously, it takes SJW content to create anti-woke media, which then further baits the SJW folk to rant and rave about the toxicity of the anti's, and vice versa. I miss the days where this shit was unknown to me, and Drinker was one of the reasons for why I dislike watching something. You just plug into RU-vid and see some dodgy commentary on why something is bad when it's not really changed at all.
@@hotlikelava276 Personally, his whole gross schtick was never to my liking (his flatulent humour and the very much present mentioning of whores). But his "critique" of Midsommar was really what turned me off watching him in the then future. This is what happens when you don't even watch his original video. He didn't say this was a review lol. It's obviously not a review. He's basically saying that he's not going to watch the show due to the politics around it. So why's that getting you upset?
This dude fr saying “I can’t believe showrunners and writers use their creations as a platform for their beliefs,” Like brother, have you ever heard of art?
That's why I never watch those types of channels their content is repetitive and doesn't go over the actual story issues or anything just complaining about a female lead in a movie which is imo mostly dumb unless the movie is trying to pander to a certain audience or if they changed a characters race or gender to appeal to that audience but mostly its just complaining imo
After watching the video i realized he didn't talk about the show, the characters or anything. He just talked about kripke. I dont think he even watched it.
Exactly, if you want a valid opinion on something, it would be nice if he actually watched it. Then say exactly what points of each episode so far when he didn't like
100% bang on, I liked him at the start (way back about 5 years ago as the videos were funny and had a point at times) but the more he's gone on, the more and more right wing he's come across, when I saw him speaking to Ben Shapiro on a video that was the enough for me. He'll always have a fan base but its fast becoming right wingers only.
Yeah the boys is woke but people who complained that it just turned woke are actually blind, it's always been left leaning politically since season 1, i predicted that starlight was gonna lose faith in Christianity and not look back, the show writers said they to put line from trumps speakers into homelanders speeches. Although he may be inspired from trump I think he shares more similarities to biden.
If the Politics are backwards and stupid then yeah it's too political for it's own good. Season 4 of The Boys has been pretty freaking dire man. Episode 5 wasn't to bad but every episode prior was BORING. Not to mention tone deaf. This season came out swinging with the anti - conservative message, whereas in previous seasons it was more anti-stupid people in general. This season has given a free pass to Starlight and Frenchie acting more like The Seven than ever before, which is chalked up to them being stressed out with how they are being targeted. Now, as someone who has been subject to workplace harassment and targeting by upper management in corporate culture, I do understand how it can get to you and make you lash out. But we have Frenchie boinging a man who's family he unalived and Starlight sorts just getting mad when she starts to receive the same treatment for her morally dubious actions. Because whether people like it or, the whole "A boating" thing isn't as simple as just being a "woman's right". That is a child growing inside of them. It is unaliving that child because it is inconvenient for you to have a kid. That's the reality, like it or not. I personally think you absolutely have the right to do that as a woman. Your body, your life to sacrifice for a child. But it's still amoral. It was your responsibility not to get pregnant to begin with. Cases revolving around Grape not withstanding. The show's biases are on full display in Season 4 instead of it being more like South Park which is very neutral. To much left leaning, double standards politics for me. Not a fan.
@@moderatecanuck Nah, leftists actually watched it and saw that what's being made fun of is corporate pandering, which the people who assert that it's a communist plot being portrayed as morons in the episode.

The Critical Drinker strikes me as a prime example of a Grade A Snowflake. The near constant whining is well pointing directly to excessive feels and fears.
Homelander graped Butcher's woman, we've known since season one. If you think the grapist is the hero of a story you seriously need to reevaluate your life.
Ironically homelander doing the SA is my biggest issue with the show, homelander isn't really into getting laid, sure he's jealous of Maeve but it's mainly because he's a spoiled child and mad he lost her and shes a supe, he sees humans as lesser, why would he sa one of them. He does have that weird thing with stillwell, but that's a matriarchal thing more so than being attracted to her seggsually

@@itzsapphire5524 I’m not even talking about the Drinker I was referring to the people criticizing the show. Have you seen the criticism for this season? It’s not actual criticism but just buzzwords and the like. I’ve seen so many comments of “reviews” talking about how the show is “woke” because they also make fun of conservatives which I mean the show still makes fun of the left just as much. How Sage is an “annoying strong black woman”. Even though that’s literally the antithesis of her character. She’s smart not strong brain over brawn and she’s one if the best additions to the show as her presence brings a new atmosphere to the show and influences other characters arcs. But nope they dislike her because she’s a “strong black woman” and “forced diversity” even though that’s literally a mocking point in the show against the left in particular. “Why is Frenchie gay all of a sudden” when Frenchie has been bisexual since season 1 it’s not the shows fault they didn’t pay attention. Which me myself I’m not too into Frenchie’s subplot because Colin just shows up and I prefer him with Kimiko but their problem is purely because Colin is a black man if it was a hot sexy blonde white lady they wouldn’t give a damn. I’ll bet good money the people who called the new season woke are the same people who called Spiderman 2 woke because “It made Miles look too good (even though it was Peter who saved the day in the end). MJ looks trans, why are they making MJ so strong, why does Miles have a deaf girlfriend, why do we have to help gay people, why are there so many pride flags, etc”. I’ll also bet these are the same people who complained about “blackwashing” when that Little Mermaid movie came out, Tinkerbell etc. The same people who complained when Arthur was trying to “make the kids turn gay” when they had a gay wedding in that show. Everything is woke to these snowflakes. Sure it’s not outright nazism but people like that definitely do have biases that are plainly evident
I so dislike the idea of someone being like if it doesn’t follow my beliefs then it must be bad. The laziness and utter shallowness is so bad I can’t believe people take them serious.

Reactionary "critics" like Drinker just like to ride the internet bandwagon. He starts by looking at the audience score on RT, then works backwards and to construct a review that will validate his reactionary audience's pre-formed opinion. Watching the actual movie or tv show is optional (but still won't change his review either way).
Can't believe that a show with a main villain with the American flag as a cape, lab made by a satirical conservative pharmaceutical company, that almost started a Reich army of supes with a Nazi that Vought himself married, took 4 seasons for people to realize that it was taking shots on politics as a whole no matter what side of it you're on 💀
does it take "shots" at the left? or does it take shots at shallow, corporate gestures that try to pander to the left? do you think there's maybe something a bit deeper to leftism beyond that shallow corporate pandering?
Conservatives when other conservatives dislike something: “how to destroy your audience” Conservatives when leftists dislike something: “how X thing DESTROYS woke Hollywood”

i dont understand how anyone can watch the first couple episodes of season one of the boys and come to the conclusion that homelander is a good guy. im immediately scared of anyone who thinks like that
Well said. The Critical Drinker agees with you! This response video deliberately left out a key, significant part of the original video. To quote the original video: "It's interesting watching the discourse around The Boys on social media, which I can best summarize as: 'The Boys used to be smart and fun, now it's all about pushing politics and nothing else. Hahaha cry harder chuds, don't you know this show was always making fun of people like you?' Sigh. Okay let's get this over with. Yes most people with functioning brain cells knew exactly what this show was and where its political sympathies lay. Nobody in their right mind looked at Homelander as a misunderstood hero that represented the voice of the masses. Nobody looked at Stormfront and thought, you know what, she's got a point there. Nobody clapped and cheered when The Deep forced himself on Starlight and it's complete gaslighting to suggest otherwise. The show was never particularly subtle about its politics or what it expected its audience to take from it. The difference though is that, for the first couple of seasons at least, it was actually fun and entertaining because the creative focus was still on the story and characters."
To be fair, Drinker has never endorsed Homelander as a good guy. I feel he'd be as alarmed as you, I or anyone with a functioning brain if someone told him with sincerity that they thought Homelander was some misunderstood hero.
It cracks me up that it took 4 season for right-wingers to realize they were being mocked the entire time, whereas I think most people on the left saw when their side was being mocked and had a “yeah, fair point lol” attitude towards it

It’s ridiculous to call show runners entitled for thinking they can just put whatever they want into their art. It’s THEIR art! And the creator said if you don’t like it than you can watch something else. Its audience members like the drinker that are entitled, because they want everything to reflect their personal values.
He literally said in the video that he doesn't mind the politics if the show remains interesting. It didn't to him, so he dropped a video about his opinions on the show and bailed like the creators wanted. How is that entitlement?
@@jy1178 he called them entitled. And whether or not he claimed politics was his issue, HE DIDN’T WATCH IT, and people lie. Politics is his most common complaint with all media, but he often says that the media is ‘uninteresting’ before bashing the politics for 10+ minutes.
But they aren’t wrong, woke content when it is patronising, force fed, and interferes with the story, it is an issue. Just morally speaking it’s not right to force messaging and views on others. The show sides with Heard over Depp, believes Jackson was guilty, and crams abortion and race messaging in. Let’s not forget the Gen V disgusting joy at male genital mutilation.
@@jy1178 he called the show creators narcissistic for saying “if you don’t like it don’t watch it” when in reality he is the viewer and he has the power to choose what media he consumes. Genuinely this is why I don’t even take critics on RU-vid serious anymore. it’s funny. How all these RU-vider who review films. Tell you how done the critics scores are when they are critics themselves. That’s why it’s always good to just stick to your own opinion and no one else’s entirely
I mean "critics" aren't literally the only critics; as the saying goes: *everyone's a critic.* it's kinda true. Also, I've watched plenty of videos by "critics on RU-vid" and I can safely say the majority of them just want to deconstruct their own thoughts on something, and are against the idea of their audience parroting their opinions.
Critics are paid "professionals". RU-vidrs are literally just the common people doing it for shits and giggles. Like calling a podcast hypocritical cause they are a "political organization"
I genuinely enjoyed all three episodes and didnt know people were hating on it until I opened RU-vid. It made me wonder how many movies I ended up hating without watching just because a review told me so. YT reviews become so dishonest these past few years, be it gaming or movies.

What is Critical Drinker talking about? The boys have always involved politics in their storyline since the beginning of the series, that’s the least of my concerns with the show. Not just politics. More specifically, American conservatism over the years. Homelander, like in the comics, was a representation of Bush-era conservatism and politics. Season 1 parodies this with Homelander’s plane incident, the War On Terror parallels and Homelander creating the supervillains that he fights. Season 2 and Stormfront parodies how American policies were adopted by Nazi Germany and vice versa, and Operation Paperclip (Frederick Vought) Season 3 and Soldier Boy parodies how Reagan-era conservatism and politics was essentially the “father” of Bush-era politics. Season 4 shows Homelander, the representation of Bush-era conservatism, evolving into Trump-era conservatism, as represented by Firecracker.

@@itzsapphire5524 are you dumb? The show has always been political. The writing hasn't dropped in quality, and Drinker would know that if he actually watched the show.
@@gronk2714He watched the show up until s4. I watched most of s4. Yes, the story absolutely takes a quality dip just to push political agendas. Which is why many have issues with the show
Conservatives already have the media literacy of a toddler and can't write successful comedy to save their lives, but outright not even watching the media you're "critiquing" is next level self ownage.
the problem Is them talking about anti-slavery as if It was bad, saying that jewish are in this Moment victims of the right or the whole christian signaling which Is strange and hyperbolic ,like for example kimiko Is against slavery but gets angry when someone wants to stop slavery ,like for example epstein which is strange writing ,like instead of trying to stop the experiments that Have been done to her too she is doing therapy, also they make the right fearful of the Cia as a bad thing but then in the previous scene the cia tries to kill the opposition vicepresident ,also why hasn't firecracker denounced butcher or francie ,it's strange like even the newman Is doing nothing about it even though she could just bust them all up with their information about the godolkins rendered completely useless as they would be accursed of Murder ,conspiracy to murder, and treason.also why Is mm so angry at butcher who as much as he knows is dying ? Why are hughie and butcher the only Ones with common sense(francie Is having a relationships with a guy whose family Is murdered ,kimiko gets made when people want to stop modern slavery , the fixiation of making research over jews as a real thing when the only problem for many is zionism and the death of 1000s of palestinians the show chulks up to conspiracy theories☹️ . It Is strange and Also a stupid way of writing so much so that the most interesting parts are now Simply homelander descent in madness and hughie relationships with his hughie's dad + butcher's and Ryan's😊 which i enjoy so yes fine but for the love christ but no the left Wing Is not morally good and no murder is not fine if it's for the greater good(which Is a continuation of weapons export),like we make fine of blm like activities but must remain under strict rulership when talking about child slavery the current governament and zionism which Isn't strange when you think Who runs Amazon ,so yes it's nit fun when half an episode feels like filler because you wanted a joke but because you want to send a political message the nuance of the show Is completely dropped
Critics like him ruined the RU-vid review space, I remember when actual reviewers like Jeremy Jahns were at the top. now it's nothing but these grifters, there isn't a single Critical drinker review that isn't informed by his politics and world view
I miss when reviewers were people trying to be the next Nostalgia Critic or Angry Video Game Nerd. Now it's just "Oh, this movie is woke." or "Oh, this game is woke."
Because kripke can't keep his politics out "oh they make fun of the left too" when ? The closest I've seen to that is them making fun of marvel or Disney which usually makes them look like hypocrites and their jokes don't land.
@@reeceburns8077 why would he make fun of the left ? he is a leftist not apolitical. he makes fun of contervatism and liberalism . also news flash liberalism isnt leftism
@@merlingaming6541 yeah either way I don't actually find the political jokes funny even when they were mocking marvel for having lesbians for easy brownie points which usually I'd laugh say very true but you'd be nieve to think they weren't doing it for the same reason's Mocking the girl power moment in endgame but again they do it themselves when they beat up stormfront I thought that was fucking cringe to.
Crazy how he's talking about creatives having a sense of entitlement, that everyone should just support and agree with them, when just a few seconds earlier he used an interview of eric Kripke telling people that they can just go watch something else
The drinker "I have better things to do" Also the drinker watching the acolyte instead of the boys. The Critical Drinker's? More like the critical clown
@@ignatius929Clowns do have a code of honor they go by to be professional clowns! One of the rules is like “Be the butt of joke, but don’t make others the butt of the joke”. I’m paraphrasing, but it’s like don’t try to humiliate unwilling participants to get a laugh when you should be the one being laughed at.
This is pretty much the only video he makes. you could watch any video of his, and it'll basically be the same word for word, bar for .... He just swaps out the names of the shows he's doing. His audience laps it up though.
I find some of his positive reviews are good, the drinker recommends series is fine, but when he's criticising a show it's always the same recycled talking points
Wait about a week and this video will be found by Critical Drinker's fans and bombed. I've seen it happen with pretty much every video criticizing him (most of which are much smaller channels) and it's just really sad.
Viewership for The Boys season 4 has gone up 21% from last season. It's bigger than ever before. It's kicking ass. The show has always been on the nose with its commentary. Nothings changed.
It used to be more subtle about its satire, that's the biggest problem. Most right-wingers don't even mind being made fun of, they just want it done cleverly, creatively, not just HAHA TRUMP BAD YOU DUMB WE GOOD. Previous seasons, while having a clear bias, still were better written in general in both story and politics, now it's just lazy and it stands out even more with the story itself being basically a repetition of the plot points we have already seen in previous seasons. It feels like a filler season that only came out when it did because it's the election year. After surprisingly decent Gen V this season feels incredibly disappointing so far.
@@NukeWalkerDid you just say the boys was more subtle... Bro every season was about as subtle as a car crash, right wingers absolutely can't take anything they're bigger crybabies than the people they try to make fun of constantly.
@@NukeWalker You said it perfectly. The classic Colbert Show is a good example of mockery done right and plenty of conservatives enjoyed it. Then when Colbert left Comedy Central he got lazy and meanspirited with his commentary. This feels like a similar situation.
@@NukeWalker that's bullshit. It wasn't subtle or clever. It was in your face since the first episode in the scene where Billy Butcher describes America's fascination with superheroes. There is no subtlety with "Woke Wok". It's on the nose. The satire on corporate wokeness and hero worship culture was never subtle. You're mad because it's making fun of your ideology. Suddenly it's not clever or subtle. You're just butthurt. Nothing's changed with the show, you just got emotional over it because it's suddenly hitting closer to home now. But it doesn't matter. 21% increase in viewership this season, the largest season increase in viewership in Amazon history. They gained way more viewers than they lost. Everyone and their moms are watching the show now. Go cry to Firecracker.
@@CaptainStardust1988 except no. The Boys was never subtle or clever about it's satire. It's always been on the nose and in your face with it. That's what made the show so refreshing. It pulls no punches. This is the same show where Billy Butcher monologues the entire thesis of corporatization of superheroes in the first episode. Season 4 is a subtle as "Woke Wok" was. You're upset because it's hitting closer to home.
You know people lack media literacy when a show has to actively tell them they’re the butt of a joke. Genuinely don’t know how they got past the first season.
I mean a huge problem I have with the review is that he goes on this huge tirade about how awful the season is without having actually watched a single second of it. Like it would be one thing if he had just reported on fan reception and the recent backlash, but the way he had been talking about it was very hateful and taking the words of the people complaining about it without a second glance and saying it like it's solid fact instead of researching the matter himself.
I think most of them don't watch the things they criticize. An example is all this stuff with the Acolyte. It's totally fine to not like the show but it's also obvious that so much of the hate is just from people regurgitating stuff they heard secondhand rather than them having actually watched the show themselves.
@@steve94183 The Acolyte got a lot of unfair hate prior to its release but after watching all the episodes released so far that show is turning out to be a massive disappointment.
I find it funny that the Right didn't start to question Homelander being a villain until he tossed a young, blonde haired, blue eyed white woman off a building in S3. Also, Critical Dullard projecting so damn hard @11:51
You guys are insane, no sane right winger watching thought “Oh yeah, Homelander is the hero” he was always the villain. This internet whining is dumb. The Boys is a mid satirical show people take WAY too seriously.
I usually agree with drinker videos but in this review he literally admits he isn’t gonna watch it at all, and makes up random things about how the director is “mad about losing viewership” when the show is still insanely popular
This wasn’t meant to be a review tho. He’s just talking about what the audience had been saying about season 4 and how he feels about the previous seasons. It’s a few minute long video of his perspective on where he thinks the series is going. It’s not a review.
@@Peasham I don’t see what’s so wrong with that. Giving your opinion on something even if you don’t have the full picture. It’s like saying it’s wrong to listen to most of the albums an artist puts out but missing 1 so therefore you can’t say the artist isn’t good. It’s stupid. Do you honestly digest every single piece of content and media you watch before judging it? You’ve never dropped a TV show or movie because you knew it was bad? I doubt it
@@jacobwojciechowski1097 No, this is like saying you can't criticize an album you haven't heard. He is criticizing an album he hasn't heard as though he's heard it.
He isnt criticizing it for being to political he is criticizing it for being unfair... remember what jordan said? "Conservatives buy shoes too" if your product is intended to be sold to a mass market, its fucking stupid to alienate half of your consumerbase. Drinker recommended the boys despite the political discourse of the last 3 seasons, and now that its far from fair, hes pulling his recommendation, which is totally valid. The writers and showrunners got their money so they dont feel the need to pander to conservatives to avoid cancellation/get the show off the ground. Now that they arent needed theyre being demonized and thrown out with the trash... South park is successful and has stayed relevant because it makes fun of everybody, as soon as they stop, large portions of the audience are going to leave because theyre going to feel targeted, why support a show where the creators have obvious disdain and contempt for you when you are the butt of every joke? The boys isnt too political, its horribly biased, and that is the crux of the matter, thats the drinkers argument.
You know it’s gotten increasingly political right? I mean Eric Kripke even said that himself in a recent interview with Variety. Look it up. People have just gotten sick of how political season 4 is because it’s not as political as the other seasons and the other seasons were simply better overall so politics were easier to ignore. Your logic is like saying you can’t call someone too fat because they’ve always been fat since they were a child. That logic just doesn’t work because obviously people grow up and their weight naturally increases into adulthood from childhood. The show has always had political messaging. It’s just at this point people are annoyed by how much it’s shoved in their face.
@@jacobwojciechowski1097 Season 2 had a literal Nazi in the show. A goddamn fucking Nazi. To hell that "its too political" when that shit has been there since literally season 1. This show has never been subtle in the slightest ans the fact that idiots forgot that they already got mad at the show for being "woke" by season 3 just shows that shit is just stupid. As stupid as the people that complained that the X-Men, the franchise meant to be an allegory for minorities and that became popular because it embraced the social movement, was bad because it was political. Yes, that is stupid, simple as that
@@jacobwojciechowski1097 Ok … but in the context of the show that type of escalation makes sense. Homelander is becoming more unfettered with his God-complex and unfortunately it’s true to life that some people really buy into that. I think you just really hate that the true to life part is a bad reflection on you. For mockery to work it has to have some basis in reality, so it’s really telling that a lot of the criticism on this season revolves around the show mocking right-wingers. Because it means that right-wingers are identifying with Homelander’s deranged cult.
@@tsm784 I mean but they can tell the same type of story without making direct real life connections like “critical super theory” or BLM and etc. I don’t like it because it takes you out of the world just to make a cheap joke. I’m not mad it’s a reflection of me because it isn’t. I don’t like Trump and I’ve never been to any sort of right wing rally or anything. I just think the politics takes you out of the world and it’s unrealistic. I feel the same when they mention real life people in the show like Kanye West for example. It’s just too much “hey look at how stupid this real life thing is” even though guarantee that thing wouldn’t exist in the world of the boys. But hey, I guess realism doesn’t matter and they just need to score political points lol.
I have a golden rule when it comes to reviews of any media: if you have not played/watched something to completion (or at least through a majority of it), then no one should take your review seriously or with any merit. It’s not something I need to employ all too often because not many people are stupid enough to talk about something without actually experiencing it, but boy it’s handy when someone is
I don't think the show's changed, having been a fan of the Critical Drinker for a while I think he was the one who changed. His vids went from being solid critiques to becoming more and more about right-wing mentalities. I noticed a few influencers take this route but never thought he would. I finally stopped watching his vids because HE was the one who'd become way too political for my tastes. He seemed happy to just follow popular right-wing taglines & I have no idea how that happened.
Thanks bro, you’re preaching facts. I couldn’t get past more than a minute of critical drinkers video before I realized he was talking out of his fucking ass
As someone that grew up religious, you have to learn to take a joke. Even if it’s exaggerated or over the top, that’s how it works. Do I think the homelander stuff was super on the nose, yes. But it’s funny and relevant to the plot. It has a purpose. Same with fire cracker or whatever her name is being like an Alex jones, it has a purpose to the actual plot
Rainbow capitalism, corporate liberalism and far right capitalism have A LOT in common. The whole point of the show wasn't to even make fun of the left. The show is very very VERY explicit about being left. But most people still think (neo) liberalism is the same thing as the left not they are not even close. A liberal is just a conservative with rainbow colors.
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure if the Black Noir story is concluded. Of course I could be coping, but I remember watching the animated flashback, where Soldier Boy essentially bashed his brains out, and he survived that... Or perhaps they're going to go for the clone angle, but instead of being a Homelander clone, he is a clone of Black Noir. Honestly who knows, I just hope they do have something in store with Black Noir.
He is not upset, he is full blown grifter, he talks to his audience only. He made a lot of money on last two years and he can make more if he plays it right.
The people that think homelander is a hero are the people so dumb that any narc psycho that spouts what they want to hear they will follow without question.
@@somerandomguyonlineforsome7870 It’s basically just become a scapegoat for anti SJW’s to get away with saying they don’t want any inclusion without being seen as racist/sexist/homophobic
As someone who hasn’t watched the boys and clicked on his video out of curiosity, I quite literally learned nothing. He just said a ton of random points without elaborating on any of them. Watching this video made me realize how he basically just regurgitated 1 star reviews.
