I’m excited to use all the new features of Corona Renderer. It’s now faster than ever and the final quality is amazing. Please, Keep improving and adding more features to this incredible render. Congratulations to all Chaos Corona Team. 👏👏👏
Hi Jake, I know you said you were working for Chaos now. Good to see the new tutorials. My mate suggested I watch your video, he's using the data in your tutorial in his next project. 😊
Are there any plans to make the shape of the decals customizable (or perhaps make it a modifier on custom planes created from splines)? Also is there any plan to add real worldscale mapping to them?
Hi! Best thing to do is post over in the Features Requests section of the website, to let the dev team know what kinds of future extensions to functionality you would like to see - forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=5.0. Thanks! Tom
There are some in Chaos Cosmos to give you a starting point. It also should not be hard to create your own from scratch too, when you need something specific (remember, any material can be applied to the Decal object and with some Opacity in there, whether that's a bitmap or a map/shader, and boom you have your own decal!). Hope that helps! Tom
When I create the Corona decal and apply a bitmap, nothing happens. I am trying to apply some simple text to a glass surface, but I don't see the map on my object. What is wrong!
Hi! This sounds like the same one we just answered on the forum - if it is, then for those who may be interested in the solution, the decal had a mask applied in the form of a bitmap, but there was no material applied to the Decal so the decal has no effect. A Decal needs both the material it is "made out of" as well as the mask in either bitmap in the Decal object or alpha channel form in the Decal material. Hope this helps! Tom
Sorry, there is no option to download the scene - we use third party assets, free or bought, and although we have rights to use them in renders and images etc. we have no rights to redistribute the 3D content. Tom
Not at this time, sorry. You can post over on the forum in Feature Requests if it is something you are interested in seeing in the future, and we can consider it (forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=5.0 ). Thanks! Tom
