Vanessa failed herself and her children by introducing them to that sick Sheldon. I fail to understand parents that don’t believe their children. That is too disturbing for her to think her own child lied about her step father of such sickening behavior. It is so sad that he killed her and left her children without a mother.

I hear what you’re saying but there was no way she could have predicted his descent into madness. She saw the best in people and wanted to fix him. Yes we all know men like him can’t be fixed, but she was hopeful. Her biggest mistake was not leaving quietly.
