Sharing Mr. Skeptical’s concern. It appears that you have to be conscious of not lifting up on the step that that riggers belt carabiner is attached to. Other than that, I’ve seen videos where SH like being closer to the tree as they ascend. I’m brand new to steps and SH. I plan to use the WE perch and side-mounted steps as an extended platform. I making a reasonable assumption that when I reach that point I’m back in my tether.
Chris do you prefer this method or the one steppin method in your other video? Thanks for the great videos! Waiting on my saddle, need to figure out my climbing method now
This seems a bit dangerous as any upward lift at all would cause the step to camber up, unlocking it from the tree. Safety seems much more important than getting up the tree quicker. Plus the metal on metal doesn't seem ideal, may as well bust the climber back out with that kind of noise. Appreciate the info but I feel this is gonna cause some injuries unfortunately. Just my opinion.
Metal biner on metal stepp THATS a natural sound…😮 Camming the stepp over….knock!.. another natural sound. Repeat 5 times…. I actually bought their koolaid Narrow tiny for 1 boot let alone 2. None of the videos are demonstrated in low light cold temps or precip in hunting clothing. Spend your money on sticks
