[December 2018] Top Bandori Original Songs with scores from r/BanGDream!

We had a count of 59 people who filled out the survey, so keep in mind this video is very subjective as it represents ~0.004% of the people from the Bandori subreddit. However, I do appreciate the 59 of you who filled out the survey since song rankings are always fun with more people!

Notes:
► Includes all original songs from the creation of BanG Dream! until December of 2018
► Scores were collected from December 15 until December 25th
► Score range represents the lowest and highest score for each song
►There was a goof on UNSTOPPABLE, I screwed up the minimum score needed on that song and 3 of the scores were forced to be "0" due to my error, so I decided to remove them when averaging UNSTOPPABLE to compensate for that.
►As pointed out a few times to me, the audio for #70 is wrong, and I'm really sorry about that! The song listed is correct, but the audio isn't

** Some minor errors also appear in the video like forgetting an exclamation point on a song title or the video showing a backwards layout while transitioning to the next song (this only happens twice or so), but none of them are entirely major!

Not just True color, I find COMIC PANIC to be a good song too because it's jazz and rock *AND* that the entire song is LITERALLY ABOUT TRYING TO MAKE A MANGA!

I was little sad to see some of the older Popipa songs get pushed to the back. Sunflower Dreams, Sing Girls, and Your Gift to Me are all really pretty songs in my opinion that give you that dream-like feeling that comes with BanG Dream. Also rip Yes Bang Dream lol Overall though I agree with the list pretty much (Roselia kind of dominated the top which is a little annoying but they do have really good music haha). My personal picks for each band are Popipa - Sing Girls, Afterglow - Scarlet Sky, Pasupa - Survivor Never Give Up, Roselia - ONENESS, and Hello Happy - Kimi Ga Inakucha (wow sorry this comment got really long I'm getting too obsessed with this game lol)

Definitely sad. Even Tokimeki Experience, which I'd say can do no wrong being the first opening, was near dead last! I can say I like Roselia too, but I end up appreciating Popipa and Hellow Happy World personally-so seeing them appear pretty often in the first half, was also sad!

@@0calliestar0 I think that issue has been realized with newer Roselia songs, which is why they have a different feel to them compared to older songs in their discography. I also think (personally) that if Poppin'Party redid a lot of their songs, they'd definitely sound a lot better since Aimi's vocals have matured a bit compared to the start (compare Yes Bang Dream! to any song after) but the newer songs definitely aren't as rough there

People are saying that Poppin party is underrated and should be higher and while I agree to some degree, it seems that people forget that they also have a lot more songs than the other bands. It’s bound to happen and I don’t think it’s that unfair.

The thing those people are pointing to isn’t the amount of popipa songs at the bottom, it’s the almost ridiculous concentration of roselia at the top and absence of popipa at the upper range of the list. The number of songs they have doesn’t change that.

No hate on Roselia, I love them but, people need to appreciate other bands like Pasupare and HaroHapi more/ CRAFTEGG MAKE PASUPARE SPECIAL TOO. Just because they have good music and mice characters doesn’t mean you should forget the rest of the cast. There are some especially underrated ones like Tsugu and Hagumi even though they’re really good. (No hate on Sayo but, I don’t see what makes her that good of a character)

Roselia is one of my favorite bands, but so many of the good songs from the other bands are ranked so low when they're actually really good! Poppin' Party's songs have been really good recently, even the covers, same with the other bands and unfortunately they don't get that much appreciation. ;;

I feel like... people don't appreciate PoPiPa (and pasupare and harohapi) as much as they should? It's like if people thought "badass=good" and "cutesy=bad" and that makes me so angry lmao you can find so many good songs in the last places (and as much as I love Roselia, my favourite band, some of their songs are way too overrated at least musically speaking)

PoPiPa songs have a huge range for me, "Teardrops", "Mae e susume" and a lot of songs rank really high in my personal list but then there are songs that just don't do it for me, same with pasupare, I love "A to Z" for example, but Harohapi just won't do, they do have a few good songs but Kokoro's voice just ruins it for me, I get a headache when I listen to her for too long, I have nothing against cute voices (I probably love Aya's voice the most out of them all), but Kokoro's voice is just way too chirpy which works with some songs but most of the time its just plain annoying for me

Honestly same but tbf, it might be a demographic/fanbase thing... for me: () Roselia is good and I really like them! -but I stan hello happy to my grave- It's not a bad thing but I think they may be well received because they're the "cool shounen bangers/anime songs" type of sound. a very catchy and good sound. () I love Kasumi and her voice but it's also very tricky to work with imo...I find that she shines in certain songs but goes a little too hard stylistically in others (then again, the VAs have to channel the character and their voice through song so props i guess? lol) PoPiPa has really good songs too

Huh... I am right afterall... PoPiPa, even though they are the main face of BanG Dream, is the most underrated and underappreciated... On the other hand, most of the top 10 is reasonable, although some are unexpected... As someone who looks deeply with lyrics and instruments, a certain fandom are surely blindly devoted, so blinded that we can see many 0-2s to PoPiPa and other bands... -u/WellxBubbles~

Jhonel Ola though I understand your statement, I do t feel as if it’s the most underrated and most unappreciated. They still get a lot of events and songs and are usually the first when it comes to band central updates. Along with that, the members still get a lot of love as well as a lot of Poppia’s songs. Bands such Haro Hapi, at least from what I’ve seen, don’t get too much attention and are often ranked last or towards the bottom in terms of individual characters or the band as a whole.

popipa deserved better:( tbh at first i didn’t like kasumi’s voice at all and i thought that it was annoying but now she’s my favorite vocal from all of the bands!!! and popipa’s songs are just so positive and uh,, some how dreamy???? they mean to me a lot,, i always listen to their music when i feel like i was dying but i feel better... :( the reasons might be because of their music and the character designs,,, popipa’s designs are bland but idc i still like them and they will always be my #1. so popipa >>>>>>>>>>>>

I think Poppin'Party has a lot of songs that can really warm the heart, but Roselia's whole aesthetic really draws people in. That isn't to say that the other 4 (5 at this point) bands don't have that either, but Roselia is a clear contrast compared to them which is partly why they stand out so much

A lot of Roselia fans don’t even try to listen to listen to other band’s songs.there’s nothing wrong in having Roselia as best band, But songs isn’t the only thing that needs to make you like a band. I know some fans who say that Roselia should have been the protagonist band. And when I ask them an opinion of the other bands they just talk about the songs. Honestly PoPiPa is my favorite band beacuse I find Kasumi as my role model. Roselia doesn’t have problems in preparing lives since they are so professional and always prepared for anything. Roselia togheter don’t even have some good relationships. Since 85% of their converstations, stories and problems have to do only with band equipment, talent nothing about emotions. And the few Roselia events that talk about Roselia’s problems are for example the Lisa one, which really didn’t leave me any emotion. While Popipa stories (for example) have alot about emotions of all the members and after all members are what make a band right? That’s all I have to say peace. ( sorry if this was long T^T)

I feel for Roselia while their songs are good from a first listen they are too repetitive and nothing new has been explored since their conception. Many seem to praise Neo Aspect as the cornerstone of their next level of music but to be honest and in my own honest opinion, nothing has changed in their style. To me, Firebird at least seems to be the start of some change to their music phrasing style (not their genre of music). Don't get me wrong I'm a Roselia fan as well - I have pulled almost exclusively on their gacha banner - but their songwriters should follow popipa's release style a bit more. While popipa doesn't truly intrude into afterglows rock style and roselia's darker or edgier musical style, they have a variety of musical phrasings that are used to mix it up every once in a while which I find is less boring and fatiguing in a sense.

Afterglow isn’t overrated or underrated because let me remind you, they’ve had Vocaloid collabs and as well with mother fucking Atlus! I personally enjoy them their music but technique and difficulty I would have to go with Roselia. I also think that Roselia was one of the only bands that didn’t need development from an event story (well at least Rinko which was a big deal.) People could also probably relate to the perfectionist outlook, the inferiority complex, the heightened expectations, social anxiety, idolizing, and just trying to not lose the ones you love.

Yo most of the comment says Roselia is overrated. I agree that Popipa is so underrated and they are my 2nd fav band. But I don't think Roselia is overrated. Tbh I love roselia is not because their music lmao. At first I more into Popipa's music because their music was so fun to listen. I love Roselia because their story in the game. I think its kinda fair. Popipa and the other band have so much fun and unique character. They will win if there are a poll that choose the band who have unique characters. And maybe Roselia will be the last. "Roselia is a professional group that have no much emotion". Actually.. no. If you play the game story, you will know that most of Roselia's songs have a deep meaning. For example Neo Aspect, a song that brought back a new Roselia after they had a fight. Sanctuary, a song that shows Yukina's feeling about Roselia. Hidamari Rhodonite, a song that shows how Lisa is a important member in Roselia, although she is the most lack talent in music among the other members but shes the mother of the group that Roselia need. Roselia can't experess their feelings directly, so they express it in the lyrics and songs. Thats why their songs was so incredible. Anyway, sorry for my bad english.
