I just found your video and so happy I did. I was born in Tokyo many many years ago and have always wanted to go back. I really enjoyed your acquisitions and will try the Be Thankful cardigan.
Aw Mel, please keep the ‘movies’ coming!! I could watch you for hours - especially as you always seem to have so many projects on the go, I’m much slower and more monogamous (kind of have to be, otherwise I never finish anything). I’m currently working away at my friend’s crazy striped scarf (knit in the round so it’s completely mindless), but have also started swatching for an Aran jumper for my brother and have ordered yarn for a baby cardi my friend’s asked me to knit. So a lot for me! Can’t wait to finish these so I can do some more selfish knitting 😁😁 wishing you a lovely week, and take it easy with the pregnancy! 🤗🤗♥️♥️
Really enjoyed this! The other colour of the De Rerum Ulysse you had (that you weren't certain how to pronounce the name) is just called 'pepper and salt' in French - rough phonetic pronunciation is 'pwa-vruh ay sell'. 💕
Nice to see you back here on youtube ! I'm currently knitting a Oslo Hat by PetiteKnit, using leftover yarn I had from my Boxcar sweater. I didn't want to buy yarn and start another garment because I still don't know what to knit 😅 So I'm diving into my stash to get some inspiration and I might frog one of my sweaters to knit a new one !
hello Mel, great to see and hear you again. what a lovely trip to Tokyo. great yarns and projects you working on. Flip top mittens are very useful, I have made some. Seasonal vlogs are NOT compulsory, just do them as and when it suits you (>>>> the same for all episodes). I enjoy watching the opening of boxes/bags and seeing the finished results. Give me ideas for using remnant yarn. Interesting how you split the episode into 3 parts. keep taking care xxxxxx
Enjoyed the catch up. Congrats! It was nice seeing your Tokyo yarn haul - on a business trip in pre-pandemic times I made it to Avril and Puppy. I've used my Avril yarn (though have some left over & not sure what to do w/ it), but not my Puppy yet. I miss visiting Tokyo! Looking forward to the next vlogs.
I'm only a little ways in, but I'm so excited to watch and wanted to say congratulations! This is very cool news. Pregnancy and having a baby is such a trip - in the best way. xo
Loved this little episode and catch up Mel! Finally got a chance to knit and watch and just felt so much happiness the whole time! Loved seeing all the new yarns and projects you are working on. I really want to knit the Moorland mitts too and seeing your folded one might have just sealed the deal!
OMG, congratulation Melanie. Totally get your rest, no worries on posting all the time here. Very understandable. Life happens. Love all your makes and also love your shop. Call me crazy but i actually binge watch your podcast few months back, and like 2 to 3 times. Hahahha, i know-unreal. You are so much fun to watch, ok, that sound creepy, i mean, i love looking at your knits and makes, weave, hand dyed yarn, etc.
I feel you! I’m 30 weeks pregnant right now and have been so tired and breathless! Plus trying to get as much knitting in before baby gets here because I have no clue how long it’ll be until I can really knit/spin again once that happens.
I was very happy to watch your video, I had missed it! I was working on my second bennet sister shawl while watching, I’m making it for my grandma for Christmas. In your next video, you could talk about the books you have read lately (if you still have time to read!), I loved when you did that. Anyway thank you for this video it was lovely!!
Welcome back! I really enjoyed this vlog! I am missing Japan so much. It was our last international trip before the pandemic. Wish I could have purchased some yarn as a souvenir. I recently got back to knitting after taking a break and I am currently working on a sweater vest. I am very into vests at the moment because I can use yarns that would usually be very itchy for me but since I plan to wear the vest over another clothing, it doesn't really matter. Congratulations and wishing you and your family the best of health. :)
Yay! I'm so happy your back Melanie!! Huge congrats on your pregnancy! I'm glad you're taking time off, rest is so important! Also I would watch a 2 hour episode happily if you posted it! Anyways congrats again and I hope to see more content soon! Oh also, what are you reading??
@@MelanieAsato Do whatever gives you joy and helps you feel rested! Definitely will love to hear about it whenever you do! Also, I love seeing the shops you hit in Tokyo and hearing about them. I'm hoping to visit Japan once the pandemic settles more!
