Your orchestra sounds something like an All-State Orchestra that we have in Georgia, USA. The best musicians are chosen from the school systems within the state to go to All-State. This is an honor that students strive to achieve.

It sounds like an all- state orchestra, which is an orchestra competition of students from all over a single state in the US. You do a beautiful job translating German meaning into English.

Luise, here in Texas there is a whole lot of Germanic heritage from settlers who arrived in the early 1800s through the early 1900s. So there are lots of Polka bands. The group that goes with your red vest seems like a polka band rather than an orchestra in that it mostly played dance or party music. My ex-husband used to play tuba in several, and in a few Czech bands, too. In English, orchestras more often play classical music.

Fabulous!!. I don't mind the red peeking through. but if you are ever in that situation again you need a primer of another color. red is almost impossible to cover with white. I would use a gray first then the white. I saw a makeup tutorial on using green on your face if you have red discoloration. then use the skin tone foundation. so that has me wondering if green on the red fabric the white... if you have a scrap give it a try.

A new English word for you: Pentimento - the presence of earlier images that are painted over. I love hidden images or words and believe they radiate out from beneath their hiding place. The viewer may not see them, but somehow knows their presence.
