The first video in my 8-part deck collection series! We’re going to start things off with one of my favorite themes in my collection and that is my earthy decks. These are the decks that have a very earthy look and feel in terms of their art style and color palette as well as how they read.

I just discovered your channel, and after seeing a couple of videos, I have to say I really appreciate how well organized you are in the video overall: you set things up for the viewer, an outline of where things will go, and in this case, even how many decks to expect. And you have a very nice, steady pace that is not rushed and good clarity overall. Whatever little oopsies are really no biggie. The dedicated work is definitely appreciated. Thank you. BTW, also appreciate you list decks in the description. I wish more Tarot RU-vidrs did that. It helps greatly. From your list, I do have the Wildwood and the Druidcraft, but I admit I have not had the time to give them the proper attention. I specially like the Druidcraft, but they are both good. Those are fantastic decks, a couple of my favorites. Recently researched the Angels and Ancestors deck and there one card in it that features an indigenous Sami drum and was not mentioned in the guidebook at all. I think that is very important for people to know before deciding if they want to buy that deck. Inlé’s inlet did a video explaining the issue.

:I have drawn with markers on my Druid Craft, and used to write (my own key words) on my other RWS decks, most recently I've painted w/ watercolors and markers on the Universal RWS. I may do more now; you've inspired me.

Can't tell you how much I really enjoyed this whole walkthrough! I couldn't turn away and have watched 4 of your vids in a row! Another all-nighter for me and I still have homework:). My mum has a few decks (everyone enjoys the wild wood deck) I have got my first deck I am 11 my mum will be helping me attune myself with them I can't wait to begin my mum is a great mum of 5 her channel is aj's allotment I'm not sure if she's going to post her video she made today soon but she is a great person. me and her are collecting decks I have a traditonal one that I can colour in and add my own touches I will be trimming the edges because they are bigger than a small glass. Can you maybe help with more videos about attuneing yourself to decks. Thank you

Thanks for sharing. Awesome decks. I do love the Spirits of the Animals Oracle Cards and they do look extremely big. If I ever can get my hands on a sale I would definitely get it. My spirit animals are the Wolf and Horse.

Will Worthington is just an amazing artist, I think there is another deck or two of his that I need to get just so I can have his whole collection. I had the green witch tarot and it always wanted to predict pregnancy (in Periscope). It was always accurate but I got REALLY tired of talking about pregnancy all the time so I gave it away (to a friend who’s boyfriend got another girl PREGNANT- which the deck revealed) ugh

My first real Tarot book was 78 Degrees of Wisdom by Rachel Pollack (and that's a great one) but she has a newer book called Tarot Wisdom and that's the one I usually recommend now. It includes more than just the RWS meanings which I really like. I hope that helps! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

I loved your video! Thank you so much! You have beautiful decks ! I would like to ask you for an advice. I am actually looking for an oracle deck but I find it quite difficult to find the right one. I am a very structured person and I need structure in an oracle, order, logic, groups, elements that make it work and be coherent (similar to a tarot that has a structure, but I just can't connect with tarots). I have found some oracles that are interesting, but do you have a suggestion in this matter? Cheers and light from France :)

One of my favorite oracles with a good structure is the Angels and Ancestors. It can be read alone or with Tarot. I also really like the Oracle of Echoes, not so much for structure but for it's wonderful balance of light and shadow. But it does kinda depend on what type of oracles you like (shamanic, animals, angel, ect.) I hope that helps! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

Hello, I’ve been loving your videos. I’m new to tarot and oracle cards but I own 14 sets so far...a dangerous hobby! Completely addictive! I’d like to ask how you discover your animals. How do you know? You mentioned you have a connection to the orca..

I am so glad you are enjoying my videos! Both of my animals have been with me since childhood, I don't remember exactly how they came about, they've just always been there. Orca has been with me the longest, I don't remember a time of it never being there. I used to draw them, collection little figures, watch documentaries about Orca ever since I was little. I never thought of it as a spirit animal until I was much older and had some dream encounters with Orca (which were actually nightmares, but there was a lesson I ended up learning from them.) Elephant is the other animal I am drawn too, again I started collecting elephant stuff in my preteens. I never went looking for a spirit animal, they've just always shown up in my life (symbolically of course, I've never had the opportunity to see them in the wild, only in zoos and aquariums.) That's probably not much help, but like I said, they've always just been there. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

Boho Tarot Thank you so much for responding. I’ve had a connection with cardinals for the past 10 years since my mom passed away and now that my Dad just passed in February. He told my sister and I that he would send us a sign in the form of a cardinal after he passed to let us know he was back with Mom. I received a sign from both of them in the way of two cardinals perched in a tree in their backyard 2 days after my Dad died. An amazing moment for me. Anyway but that is more of a connection to them and not really “my” animal. I’ll have to think about it. Perhaps my animal has been with me all along and I haven’t realized it. I have actually been watching your journaling videos today and throughly enjoying them. Your ideas are great and so is your approach. I love how you take the pressure off of everyone by letting us know to “just do you” be creative and it’s your journal. Don’t try to copy others. Just be inspired by them. I’m looking forward to finding your video about how you study a deck. I’ve been working on crafts this morning, listening to your videos and getting inspired to start my journey into tarot perhaps starting with a journal. Btw. I also thought you were in your 20’s. You have a young, relaxing voice and just the style of your videos is so fresh. Keep it up. Thanks again. Take care.

I'm brand new to your channel and tarot and I was just wondering if you could (or maybe have) explain why you personally don't read reversals?

I personally feel like the Tarot is a well balanced system on its own and that each card already contains both light and shadow. Therefore I don't personally use reversals because, for me, wether a card is in light or shadow (shadow meaning how we often view a reversed card) has nothing to do with which direction the card is facing, but rather the context of the reading and the position it falls in. I hope that makes sense! I will have a video on that subject coming as part of a larger "How I read Tarot" series. But in the meantime, I hope that helps! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

Sorry for the delay in replying, been trying to get things back in order after being sick for a long while. :) I use the Adobe Suite for my videos. Premiere for video editing, Audition for sound adjustments and then Photoshop for graphics and such. I still have yet to actually get a decent camera tho, so everything is shot on my phone lol. Hope that helps!

When you were talking about the Pagan OtherWorlds Tarot, you used the word “pippish.” I’m not familiar with this term. What does it mean? Or maybe, what do you mean?

Pippish is a term to describe non-scenic minors. So in decks like the RWS, the minor cards are illustrated to depict a scene where as is pip-style decks they generally just show the number of items being displayed. So for example, the Two of Swords in a pip deck generally just has two swords where as in a scenic deck such as the RWS you see a scene of a woman with two crossed swords. Boho Tarot I am considering that or the green witch tarot. I am trying to be picky because I already don’t want to collect tarot decks but pick those which speak to me only. I am impressed by your collection; quite jealous too! You have many yummy treats. I wonder if you could do water based decks or suggest some to me? I kinda saw all yours and air/water decks speak mostly to me. If you can suggest any, Id be happy. I also think you are the first that I met who didn’t connect with the fountain tarot while here I am owning two copies so I can always keep one at home and one with me all the time. 🤗 On other hand, I have zero connection with soul cards (which I feel ashamed to admit because they don’t speak to me) .. do you have any advice of how to deal with them? I tried meditation but it helped with few but not all cards.

@@ABirdOnTheMoon the Green Witch Tarot is another good one I really enjoy working with it as well. It's has a bit of a softer earthy feel to me, it reads in a very supportive way for me. Hmm water decks, you know I was actually working on some video ideas and I was trying to pull elemental feeling decks but I don't have much that feels very watery too me. (I need to get a few I think! 😊) The Cheimonette has a bit of a water feel for me, as does the Crystal Tarot, so out of my collection, those would be the only two that come to mind. I will think on that tho and see if anything else pops up. As for the soul cards, I primarily use them as journaling prompts. I pull a card and journal about what I see and feel in the card, I don't really use them in readings so I'm probably not a ton of help there. 😊

I actually ended up gifted that deck to a friend. We didn't ever really use it besides pulling a handful of specific cards for altar work. My friend is enjoying it I do believe. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

The anima mundi tarot , if you did not purchase it from her Etsy or from her website. Like for example if you bought it off of Amazon . It is likely a knock off🥺. That happened to me

Pippish refers to minor cards that don’t fully illustrate a scene. I’ve come around to those in the last few years. :)

"Pipish" refers to what is commonly called "pip" cards which are cards that do not depict a scene on them. So instead of a scene being playing out on the card, say the nine swords hanging over the woman's head in the Nine of Swords... you just have Nine Swords displayed on the card without a scene to tie them into. Modern day playing cards are considered pip cards... when we draw the 5 of Diamonds, for example, we just have 5 red diamond icons on the cards. I hope that helps! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
