Today, we're going to be taking a look at a possible deck that a re-imagined Zane Truesdale may have used during his time during Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V. Follow me on Twitter: / scommander91 Chat with me on Reddit: / spellcommander91
I can definitely say that Zane would never pass up the ability to add a summoning mechanic to his arsenal, constant improving is in his heart, literally
The ARC-V cameos aren't the original versions. They are parallel incarnation with similar but different lives. If anything ARC-V Zane would just use a retrain of his fusions like everyone else.
Alternatively, Zane adding Xyz monsters to his deck could be symbolic of a redemption arc. I have little doubt that had he appeared in the anime Zane would've eventually rejected his home dimension's plans for multiversal domination, and could adopt Xyz summoning as a way to 'carry on the legacy' of the people he hurt, perhaps swearing off Fusion summoning even.
@SettDunk it's true that Dennis did that but I don't think that Zane's personality would allow for that. I think his method would be more direct. Besides the fact that he is missing from the academy could mean that he doesn't agree with what they do.
@@nielswijnen9113 even dark Zane would work with no one hell normal Zane probably wouldn’t work with anyone he’d be like a ronin maybe having trust issues
If he was ever in the Arc V anime and died as theorized by some Yugi-tubers, him having Cyber Dragon Infinity would've been insane, plus c'mon Kite vs Zane in Arc V would've been the best duel next to Shay vs Sora.
Zane duels Kaito, the letter steals Cyberdarkness Dragon with his Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon and uses to destroy Cyber End Dragon, and everything Zane has, then Zane summon a Cyber Dragon using core in the gy chains with Inferno Reckless Summon and revels he can XYZ summon then overload fusions to Chimeratech Overdragon and turns the table on Kaito. I would love to see Zane summoning Cyberdarkness Dragon next to Cyber Dragon Infinity and completing his combo with Cyber End Dragon, the final test of the XYZ arc to Yuya Sakaki. When Yuya seems he is going to overcome it, Zane plays Necro Fusion and brings out CyberDark End Dragon.
As someone who's been teaching others how to play Yu GI oh for years now, I can say definitively that the thing most people get hung up on are the different summoning mechanics, so honestly having a duel school where each different kind of summon is given its own class kiiiind of makes sense. It's still silly in that charming Yu GI oh silliness kind of way, but arguably makes some sense.
In the GX anime Zane's deck was also based around avoiding the Power Bond damage. So maybe some cards that allow him to use Power Bond without paying the cost at the end phase might also be suitable. One Day of Peace and Rainbow Life are some example cards!
I know there was a Cyber Dragon dog that did that affect, so he wouldn't take any damage. But I see Zane mostly knowing when to play a card to beat his opponent so he'll never suffer powerbond side effects. But that does sound like Zane little brother Cyrus he stuffs his deck of cards that protect his life points from powerbond
Cyber Kirin too but yeah played one day of peace and it’s way better specially for main phase 2 after doing damage and ending the turn damage free and drawing a card lol
If there's one thing I will always greatly appreciate from these videos, it's that these videos focus on what the characters would likely run and not just what's meta so we can see the variety and keep the core of the character intact
I didnt realize until just now how many GX/Fusion Dimension archetypes were at least partially based on Machinery. Zane's Cyber Dragons, Cyrus's Roids, Alexis's Cyber Angels, and Crowlers Ancient Gears? No wonder they were the choice to make evil for Arc-V
I wanted to add for Zane in his side deck DNA surgery which allows to change all Monsters type into a type you wish which is effect for Fortress Dragon as it can take your opponent's machine cards as well
What about getting hit form the GX future fusion - overlord fusion for Chimeratech Overdragon to have 16000 attack and Def and can attack 20x in one turn
@@holygreedo5699 Lots of yugitubers have been creating decks like these for years including me you just have to look for Yugioh character decks on here .
The field spell of cyberdark will be a nice cherry on top. Look at the artwork, you would imagine that would have look like if zane made an appearance.
How about a Yuya deck, but rather than being set in Arc-V, it's set in the original series? More focused on ritual and fusion summons. Maybe upgrade it to 5D's or Zexal
ok first I love this series but I think you should add some anime exclusive cards. second could you please do Chazz in zexal. also, could you give him a number card or two.
Definetly not, number cards in Canon lore cannot be used by Zane. That would compromise the entire lore. Also, anime exclusive cards are tricky, they can date the video if they're ever adapted and they're often hard to equate if their effects, conditions, etc. Arent fully fleshed out
@@11epicguy22 first up I was talking about giving Chazz number cards if he was in zexal. second, off it's the anime cards should only be added if the person uses it like chazzes ojamandala.
@@smoke4818 ojamandala at this point is also in tag force and Duel Links, I think Duel Links cards are fair-game. And numbers just wouldn't work, unless you rewrite that Chazz met Yuma or Kite or something
@@11epicguy22 ok so a bunch of anime-only cards are in tag force which by your reasoning all anime cards can be used. second, off its zexal. the only way to win is to have a number card.
@@smoke4818 but physically it requires a massive lore re-write for any numbers to exist for non-zexal characters. They didn't even include em in Arc-V, despite having Kite, for that reason. It destroys the lore.
Considering the time Arc-V was airing, there's no need for the Cyberdarks; the new Fusion and Xyz monsters in the Cyber archetype should generate enough hype for Zane I'd also swap out the Proto Cyber Dragons for max copies of Core; gives more access to Spells and Machine Duplication shenanigans
and the Zwei and one proto for Galaxy Soldier becuse you swap two proto Cyber Dragons for the two extra Core and maybe he could play cyberdark world the get easier exase to power bond throug cyberdark chimera
Pretty good, when I made my Zane Arc V Deck, I just included his cards from GX, plus a few extra cards here and there to support the three Fusion Monsters his character was confirmed to have in the Arc V anime. So for me it was Monsters: Cyber Dragon(x3), Proto Cyber Dragon(x3), Cyber Barrier Dragon, Cyber Laser Dragon, Cyber Kirin, Cyber Vally, Cyber Phoenix, Cyber Ourobarous, Armored Cybern, Barrel Dragon, and Blowback Dragon. Spells: Polymerization, De-Fusion, Power Bond, Overload Fusion, Future Fusion, Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, Quick Summon, Monster Reborn, Battle Fusion, Photon Generator Unit, Limiter Removal, Cybernetic Zone, Different Dimensional Capsule, Card from a Different Dimension, Cybernetic Fusion Support, Creature Swap, and Dimension Explosion. Traps: Power Wall, Call of the Haunted, Attack Reflector Unit, Lost Pride, Fusion Gaurd, Cybernetic Hidden Technology, and Declaration of Rebirth. Extra Deck: Chimaratech Fortress Dragon, Chimaratech Rampage Dragon, and Gatling Dragon.
They sadly don't have a link monster... i hope they get more support. Closest thing to a neo-spacian link card is infernal devicer cause it works well with the Neos fusion monsters allowing it to search Neos and a neo-spacian monster
This deck is quite tricky, after all Zane change his Light deck of Cyber Dragons and for a dark/Chaos Deck as CyberDark Cards maybe even more Dragons and few Cyber Dragon. I personally combine Both Decks is quite handful XD but also Fun to Play
I think that Zane would probably figure out what's really going on with academia and start to play double agent against them even going so far as to faking his on death/defeat so he could do more spy work on them and figure what the professor's end game.
I’m not sure if Zane would still use Cyber Darks since he gave that deck to Syrus. But at the same time, it’s all made up so like, hell yeah he’s using them.
it would also be a different timeline, since the versions of the characters we see in arc v are not their original universe's characters (as shown in duel links recent arc v events) so it's possible this Zane never gave it to his brother for whatever reason.
Notes from a Slider Red Layabout; I hate to be a "Buzz killer" here, but even if the Z-man upped his deck to fit Arch-V I just can't see him being able to hang with guys like Atlas or Crow. Their decks were built around dealing with High-powered Effect Monsters(Crow) or "Spam Nuking"the board(Atlas). Don't get me wrong, it'd be awesome to see him(just like with Alexis), but he just wouldn't be able to keep up with the main cast. Remember to keep calm and abide...
I'd love to see these kinds of anime decks for archetypes not connected to any character. Like for everything related to [Fallen of Albaz] or Shaddolls.
Let's hope they got more of the respectful Zane than the cruel Hell Kaiser. I Arc-V I can see Zane being a respectful and ruthless general that also has a strong moral compass. Him learning XYZ summoning is both a way to turn that dimension's power against them and a way to show his respect for them. I would love to see Arc-V Zane face both Yuri and Yuya simultaneously and wipe the floor with both of them. Yuri because his rampage needed to be stopped as well as some basic code of conduct beaten into him, and Yuya because brainwashing people to fit his dueling mindset is not acceptable. Now that's the way to assert dominance and be a pure badass.
I would also side two type change cards. "Declaration of rebirth/Rebirth Judgement" either to equip Cyber end to cyberdark or for chimeratech, and "DNA surgery" to assimilate opponent monsters with fortress dragon
Would you consider doing a full visual decklist at the end in theses videos Not an official just a “what if” of cards mentioned I know I’m not the only one who would appreciate
I have one suggestion for these kind of video in the future when building deck for characters from older series. would you consider including some of the old banned cards like pot of greed. I didn't watch much of YGO anime but i'm probably sure that there isn't any in universe reason why heavily used banned cards just stop appearing in later anime
Infinite Impermanence, the name and effect have nothing to do with Cydra but the art has Cydra Infinity in it and the card itself is useful so I think it'd fits the deck very well.
A small oversight on Overdragon. It can attack an Opponent's monsters a number of times each battle phase up to the number of Fusion material used for its Fusion Summon. Sadly it only up to 1 direct attack if I read my card right that is.
Not anymore, thanks to the Overload searcher, Evolution Result Burst, you can make Overdragon attack as many times as there are materials used to summon, as long as you use 6 or more materials.
Please do a tag duel deck profile for Yugi, Jaden, Yusai, and Yuma if they were in Arc-V? Also, there should be a monster card that represents the temporal bond between the first three Yu-gi-oh! protagonists. Picture Yugi, Jaden, and Yusai summoning their signature monsters before Yusai equips Synchro Boost onto Neos and Dark Magician and uses a spell card to allow simultaneous Xyz, Synchro, and Fusion summon if Neos is on the field (to simply things, the resulting monster would be Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz like the anime version of Z-Arc). In my opinion, the resulting monster would be called Stardust HERO Dark Neos Dragon of Magic.
8:15 yeah but the grave is actually useful and sure it would let him get a big chimeratech out but so would just activating overliad instead of limiter removal
I’d also include Leng Ling, because it’s a level 3 dark dragon with 1500 ATK and when it’s equipped to a monster, that monster’s original ATK becomes 1000 and can attack twice. Basically, get it into the grave, the summon a Cyberdark, equip Leng Ling via Cyberdark’s effect & bam, 2500 ATK beat stick with 2 attacks.
Me a yugioh player who hasn't really paid attention to the newer cyber dragons aside from nova and infinity: WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?! (Honestly i was the most comfused about cyber eternal)
13:51 That's a good spell but that was printed and USED in the Vrains era used by ''Knights of Hanoi" but what about "flash fusion" ? he used it againts Syrus Other ideas: "Battle Fusion" the honest from fusion monsters and used against Jaden Yuki in Zane's Graduation Duel, "Megamorph" just in case his LP are higher and can weak the opponent attack points or if his LP are lower can double its attack points used against all this 3 options are great cause he is always obsessed with more power and more fusion like himself
I want to know when is the next upload for rewrite Yugioh GX that you're making. I'm not saying hurry up no! Take your time this rewrite that I'm watching from you is awesome. But just want to say please God don't get rid of dark Zane, and that wonderful Ark that he goes through. Please I mean all he wants is just one great last battle
The butchering of the German words!😢 I loved learning German and this was a really cool deck that made me interested in learning. I’m excited to see what other card use a different language, besides the names or yokai.
Some things don't add up here, for example, Why did you put the cyberdarks on the side deck, yet you have the cyberdark fusions on the extra deck? Anywho I would put the cyberdarks on the main deck istead of the other cyber monsters and some of the other cyberdragons(not including, core, nachster, or herz) On the Spells I would dedenitlly add the 3× cyberdark realm and at leas 1 cyberdark inferno A Trap I would add is Imfinite impermanence for sure
In my planned ARC-V Adaptation (Currently working under title Re-ARC), I actually have Zane be the one who helped Yusho escape the Xyz Dimension and co-found Fusion's You Show Duel School rather than Alexis (whose story is also heavily altered so she gets better treatment, dammit). ...however, Zane also falls to Yuri in Alexis's place in Re-ARC >.
@@Consaibot1 then I can't complain about it. It is a shame but anything less wouldn't defeat Zane. If this is the second time they are fighting and Yuri barely wins then I would find that to be satisfying.
@@andresmarrero8666 Plus, Yuri believes Zane is the strongest Duelist from the Fusion Dimension, which in turn is the strongest Dimension as far as he's concerned. Of course, he has a "And then What?" moment. ...plus it's a reason to pull out the new version of Starving Venom Fusion Dragon coming out in Dimension Force :3
@@Consaibot1 after I would imagine that Yuri has a complete mental breakdown that Zark might try to take advantage of. Ironically that might make Yuri turn good. Doubtful I know but an interesting thought regardless.
i actually think zane would have cyber and barrel dragon deck since in arc v when yugo goes to fusion dimension into academy in classroom on wall zane is mensioned as legendery duelist and that his famous cards are chimeratech rampage dragon and gatling dragon so i think is this uneverse zane actually got barrel drangon amd all of support for barrel dragon insted of cyberdark so i would probably make a cyer and barrel deck for zane arc v
