Today, we're going to be taking a look at a possible deck that a re-imagined Mai Valentine may have used during the events of Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS. Follow me on Twitter: / scommander91 Chat with me on Reddit: / spellcommander91
What makes Mai's deck so iconic isn't just the character (as good as she was), it's that hers was one of only a few Attribute centric Deck's they ever had on the show(aside from Mako)..
@@DragoSonicMile valid point, I completely forgot that that Fish wasn't Water Attribute! Show's you how long it's been since "Season One" of YGO hit the TV....
@@christopherb501 Sadly that can't happen now with Takahashi dead. We can always hope for a remake accurately representing the manga as it is, but no second shot at properly writing millennium world without time limitations
I would like to see Mai splash in a different Winged Beast oriented archetype that would mesh well with Harpies such as Tri Brigades or Lyriluscs (though I know that risks stepping on Lulu's toes, so maybe only the Tris). Just with her personality, and because she's done it before with Amazons, I think Mai is one of the DM duelists who would be the most dedicated to staying up to date to make an effective deck. I don't think she's 100% married to her original cards like Yugi or Kaiba. She's less sentimental and more practical. Like still have her play Harpie cards but make it a hybrid to show she's really evolved.
To all the comments saying Mai would put another archetype into her deck or amazoness, no sry she wouldn't. In the first season her whole Deck was built around harpie lady. The only reason she added the amazoness cards was that the game sped up a lot and new rules were added. Since Harpie Lady didn't had much support she had to include other cards. In Orichalcos she used again only harpie cards because they had enough support that could also win duels. She indeed had an amazoness spell card in her deck but I think that was just to get to 40 Cards. I'm pretty sure she would run a harpie only deck with a few adjustments in the extra deck and some spell and trap cards. Mai literally said that Harpie lady was her only friend she ever had and that she admired them.
I think you misunderstood Forbidden Droplet's effect. It doesn't lock out effects for the turn - it just means that, when activated, it cannot be responded to by effects of the same cards used as cost. It's strong, but you gave a wrong impression.
I run a Harpies deck in Master Duel for fun & I use rank 7 Red Eyes Flare Metal Dragon. It works like a charm because it has 2 great effects while it has XYZ material (which i dont use since they’re used to summon Red Eyes which I dont run) 😁 But, it would be great if they released a rank 7 Harpie + a fusion Harpie. I can’t believe we still don’t have a Fusion, it’s literally DM era type …
I've been wanting to see a Jaden neos deck since last year when the Elemental Hero deck came out and plus I would love to see ur take on the modern deck for everyone's favorite turbo duelist Yusei Fudo
Personally I think that Harpie's Pet's new variation was meant to replace the old one, so running both is useless. I think that also running some cards you put could be replaced for more anime accurate cards but its a neat profile.
i would add 2 more elegant egotist in the side deck instead of the vanila ladies because of the name, alongside another huntingground, as for another caracther, some of the 5ds cast would be great
@@christopherb501 I know that. I just can't help but think they look like they could be siblings. I am aware they aren't, but they look like they could be is all.
0:57~1:02 Their "effect" of being treated as Harpie Lady is actually a Name Condition, not an effect. Conditions aren't negatable, and there are several different kinds of conditions, including, but not limited to, Archetype Conditions, Summoning Conditions, Material Conditions, and even Victory Conditions (Exodia is a prime example of that last one). 8:28~8:38 Reading the card, it looks like it merely prevents activating those cards as a response to its activation, not the entire turn.
I want to say "Alexis Rhodes - Vrains Era Deck Profile", since that was not only the Future, but also the Ritual Dimension, where her Cyberangels truly would belong. But we had a look at updated Alexis in ARC-V, so that might not be the most interessting Videooption right now. But since i want to push for a female Duelist here, i say give the Fairy Signer herself an update, and give us a "Luna - Vrains Era Deck Profile". Oh, and in Jadens 2021 Deck Profile, you also sorta promised to do one for the Neo Spacians someday, which would be just as nice.
I would also some how incorporate some of Mai's Amazoness in the Deck as well as she also used them in Battle City and I couldn't really imagine her completely dismantling that Deck unless I'm wrong. Although she might Use Harpies' as her Prime Cards but at the same time I would also imagine her using at least some of her Amazoness cards as well as they got her through the for mentioned Battle City Tournament.
If only we had a modern Pegasus deck! The founder of duel monsters deserves a new deck in the current era. I really wish toons were competitive in modern Yu Gi Oh.
Yes, they’ve released the “lost art” (uncensored) versions of Channeler, Queen, Dancer, and Conductor. Along with the spells, Alluring Mirror Split, and Harpies Feather Rest.
