Hi, maybe the two components Interlux paint you are taking about is "Perfection". If this is the paint, it is not Epoxy based, but a two components polyurethane paint. Polyurethane paint exist in both one part ( like Interlux Brightside ) and two parts ( like Perfection ). You are right, once mixed, the two components paint must be all used or discarded. However, the two components type offer a harder ( way harder ) finish which resist abration a lot better. Another drawback of the two components is the high toxicity, need very good respirator.
