Fell enchanted by this deck the first time I saw it! I have it on my shelf but haven’t worked with it yet, so I really appreciate your review. I wish more tarot readers made reviews of decks after they’ve worked with it rather than only immediately after they unboxed it.

I heard Lisa P say in a recent video that this deck has a good guidebook - I've always considered it because of it's earthiness. After watching this I decided to get it... and it just landed on my doorstep an hour ago. 😊 I think it was your comparison to Hidden Realm that solidified me getting it. I can see where this one is even more story like since there are scenic cards as well as profile images. So, off I go to get lost in the forest. The decorations looks so cozy!

Oh! I'm so happy you brought up this deck! I absolutely LOVE it and isn't that the best guidebook ever? The backs are probably my favorite of all the decks I own too. I've never outgrown my love of Fairy Tales and still buy special editions, mainly for the artwork, so this tarot really appeals to me since those stories are used on a few of the cards. I think the Devil & Chariot have been renamed in an unusual way though, but I don't mind too much. Also, I might be in the extreme minority about the card stock since I actually really like it. After trying to riffle shuffle, let's say, the tarot Mucha or the Radiant Wise Spirit, these cards feel like a dream to me. By the way, you have a beautiful cat!
The cat loves your compliment, he says thank you ❤️. Forest decks are absolutely gorgeous and I think this one is amazing, as you point out, it is reminiscent of Fairy Tales... I think I will be investing in some books again next year from the fae theme, I love it. I think the card stock is fine too and I have the Sante Muerte which is difficult card stock to shuffle, indeed, I didn't realise the other Mucha or Radiant Wise were the same... yikes, thanks for the heads up! @@darkfaetarot Have you seen "Faeries, Elves & Goblins" by Rosalind Kerven? It's published by Batsford (love their old UK guidebooks) but a lot of the art is by Arthur Rackham which is why I got it. I have the Rackham tarot and oracle and love them both.
Sylvie, the Chariot card became the Faery Wind because I was trying to think what could rush through a forest without smashing into the trees, other than the speeder bikes from Star Wars. :-) When I lived in the forest, I was struck by how you could hear a gust of wind approaching and then passing by. That shivery sense of something unseen but powerful and unstoppable.
Thanks for this. I definitely enjoy the way you do "reviews". There's a place for discussion about card stock/packaging/etc, but I very much appreciate hearing people's personal experiences with a deck and how they use it. It adds a depth to the discussion about Tarot that I think is very valuable. I'd also be interested in hearing more about how you use tarot for planning.

Haha, I can somewhat relate to not liking when the snow starts to melt but still winter is my fav season. Oh my, the precious black panther! 😍 From my point of view, the strengths of your reviews is your personal experience with a deck and that it's from a longer period of time. I enjoy the story you tell us of the time you spent with a deck. It's your unique story, your unique perspective, while what can be unique said about a box or a cardstock? For flipthroughs and unboxings I only watch videos of decks I consider buying. While a review like this, I would watch for whichever deck, even a deck I don't like or would never buy. Focusing on what you think the deck could be good for, where it would shine as a tool, I think is a great idea! ❤

@@darkfaetarot Aww, you're too nice.. thank you 🥰 Surprisingly it was nice today in warsaw. windy but very sunny. So far we only had a glimpse of snow and it was a snow with rain, I don't know if there's a specific word for that. For some reason everyone around me predicts this winter will be harsh and very cold. My winter-loving heart can't wait for it haha 😄
One of the things I enjoy about this deck is that in the fool card the stag is so clearly entering the forest and in the world card the stag is so clearly exiting the forest that you can use them as indicators of the beginning and end of your journey. Say you're starting a course of study or something and you're wondering how it will go. With this deck you can shuffle and turn over cards until you reach the fool and treat that as the beginning and the joys and pitfalls are all of the cards that appear between the fool and the eventual appearance of the world card. I have yet to have the world card turn up before the fool. Not sure how I would interpret that :-)

I loved hearing your review, atm I do flipthroughs on my channel but your review (as I enjoyed it so much) encouraged me to fibally start actual reviews too. Also, now i need to get this deck 😂 I am a Taurus Sun so I LOVE beautiful art (like u said) but my moon Libra wants balance in a deck (pretty AND meaningful and deep). So yeah, I wasn't sure before as I feard that it is JUST beautiful. P.S. I would be so interested to hear your review on The Witch's Wisdom Tarot as you seem open minded to "deal" with reversed Fool's journey.

Thank you for watching and your thoughts. I would say the Forest of Enchantment is a magical, child-like, inner healing deck. The artist and writer convey a fairytale like feel whilst anchoring in certain archetypes. I do have the Wildwood Tarot and used that one for my month ahead readings. I am using it this year for spreads around the main events e.g., Beltane, Summer Solstice, etc. The Wildwood is following with the Druid/ Wheel of the Year calendar. So very different in many ways. Which one you work with depends on what you’re seeking. I hope this helps ✨🦉🍁🦋
