Deck Walkthrough: Book of Shadows As Above 

I have this set....it is SOOO Awesome!!!!!

I love this deck and the so below deck. I brought them together with the guidebook. These two are my favourite decks I own.

I really like this walk through. When I got the deck, I tried to apply Rider Waite meanings to the cards and got confused. I'll have to take a different angle with it and see how it goes. I was originally drawn to it because of the Sabbat cards. I'm also trying to incorporate the Wheel of the Year into my schedule more. I'm very excited to see your Sabbat videos! Thank you so much for this excellent review! I realise I’m six years late to the party. But I’ve only discovered these book of shadow decks now. I love the concept and ideas behind the decks. I’m very drawn towards the So Below but find the As Above difficult because of the inconsistent and tacky all white phantasy-body-beautiful artwork. I wish they’d redo the whole thing and dragged the artwork into the 21 century. However, I’m still very drawn to studying the concept behind this deck and after your video, I tend towards buying the whole set. Having the bigger book is another bonus, as I don’t like working with apps. Since this video is six years old - what is your verdict now? How much have you used the deck?

I went to my special store and i got this set ..

I just ordered two new decks (and I only have 6 total, 3 tarot and 3 Oracle decks) and i just can't wait til they arrive. It was so hard to narrow it down!!! I can't wait. I have deck fever!!!

I can't abide by the wiped out man bits & the Sith crones :) It's too bad because the "bones" of this deck are soooo good. I love the Court cards. Great & through walk through, as always.

I hope you are feeling better Kelly :) Emperor's Palpatine's wife LOL. Man's bits LOL Pants LOL. Sorry I am a bit immature come to these things :P There was a whole talk about how women's bits are OK but somehow come to men's they tend to disappear. It is an interesting topic in itself :) The theme of this deck is not at all on the spectrum of my world view, but it is so interesting to listen to you talk through the deck as always :)

Thanks for this walk through. I've never felt so torn about a deck- some images are so lovely while others are so poorly rendered. I totally agree with your critiques, and I think I'll have to pass on this one after all.

I have both decks. I like both of them but I definitely prefer the first one when it comes to the artwork. I feel like with all the "pornstar boobies'" that Lo Scarabeo does, the least they can do is keep the penises inside. Although "pornstar penises" might a bit much for a tarot deck. But if you're going to do that with the ladies, there's no excuse for leaving the male parts out. Which is why I love that the Druidcraft didn't hold back. Also you would think a pagan deck wouldn't be so prude. Although the Cosmic Tribe Tarot as does it in a hilarious way.
