I have one. The drawers slide out nicely with lots of secure storage. This is for a craftsman that needs a place to store tools and parts with room still on top. It isn't for Joe Six Pack who uses his truck occasionally to move furniture or gravel.

Love mine use the left side for all my tools and the right side for my golf clubs! Clean organized truck bed no more junk in my back seat and i still use my truck bed like normal if it’s anything over 3 feet height wise just lay it on its side if it’s over 3ft both ways just use tie downs which i keep in my side cubby

This is a tool storage system that is great for those that work with tools. If you use your truck for deliveries it isn’t a system for you. Like mine because I was involved in a rear end collision. Guy hit me from behind doing 50 to 70mph. He was taken out of his car by the jaws of life. My car was totaled, but the vehicle was intact. Every cop, fireman, and EMS came to see what saved my life.

Congrats, you just spent thousands of dollars for 2/3 of your bed to be useless
@Decked
@Decked Год назад
Not useless at all! What you lose in bed depth, you gain in organized storage under the deck. You can haul just about anything you used to with the ability to ratchet strap items down on top of the Deck. Which has a 2,000 lb payload!

you guys should make decked branded bed side rails so for those that would like some of the bed depth back - im sure many of existing customers would buy them and it would get new customers that might not buy due to perceived / actual depth loss if they knew they could get some decked branded side rails - you guys would do some sick side rails i know it
@Decked
@Decked Год назад
We do get this request quite a bit! We love the idea!
@johnnada1222
@johnnada1222 Год назад
Do it . Side and tail rails cannot be a difficult engineering problem. Fairly straightforward I would think , don’t gouge on the price and it would help drive sells of the drawer system ( where the profit is ). The loss of bed capacity is a deal breaker for many which you could easily solve. P S : I don’t want the side and tail rails branded because that would announce to the world that my valuable stuff is in the drawers on the bottom, offer a option or give some decals for those who want to use them.
@wayned3137
@wayned3137 10 месяцев назад
Now you lose the option of having a bed cover and keep your stuff safe. You’re not able to keep your cooler, chairs, generator, jerrycan, fishing rod etc.. in the bed and keep them safe anymore. Also those little storages on the corners don’t lock and collect a lot of dirt and water.
@Decked
@Decked 10 месяцев назад
None of this is true, but thanks for commenting. Most tonneaus work with our system. Toppers from places like Leer and ARE work with our system and enable you to store all of things you mentioned. And the ammo cans do not collect water - if this is happening, you should reach out to customer service so we can make it right.
@christian_7500

For people who have used these a while, how is the security on them? How difficult would it be for a thief to break into the storages?

@Decked
@Decked Год назад
The term we use is "Weatherproof" not waterproof, as the drawers don’t seal like tupperware. However, when installed properly, it’s pretty dang close! You'll have no issues in rain storms or going through the carwash! Dust can be tricky, as it can blow into the Drawers while driving at speed. Anything that can't get a little dusty goes in our D-Box or Crossbox. Which are 100% water/dust proof!

How do you reach into the back of the drawer if it does not come out all the way?
@Decked

The Drawer comes out over 2/3 of the way. There's typically about 1-2 feet of Drawer, left under the Deck. It's actually not difficult to reach the back of the Drawer, however we recommend packing accordingly.

I do like the concept and the cost per cubic inch is comparable with upper end cross boxes. My only issue is the wasted voids of space under and round and behind the drawers. With a cross box nothing is waisted. I can put chains and straps in those places.

We hear ya! Ammo Can storage could be slightly larger. However this is where we recommend putting chains and straps anyway!

Let's get one thing straight. The Drawer System is A LOT more than just plastic. It has a steel subframe that is roughly 30% of the product that is injection molded to the HDPE. This provides a strength to weight ratio of 10:1 and won't ever ding, dent or rust.
