The Tarot of Spirit book by Pamela Eakins was for me a "connect the dots" book on the Tarot...meaning it pulled concepts together for me. I love the book and reference it frequently,
How I approached learning Tarot of the Spirit, Tabula Mundi (you need her book!) and Tarot of the Holy Light was to pull one card a day and study, read and write about it. These decks are deep and the books are so full of information one card a day is enough at the beginning. You will go down the rabbit hole of numerology, astrological associations, Tree of Life associations. These decks were the spring board for my learning alot of other esoteric things. Tarot of the Holy Light and Tabula Mundi (and M. M.'s other decks) are among my favorite all time decks....even if they are garish....lol! I feel myself drawn to marsielle and non illustrated pips and playing card divination in 2021. Thanks again for a wonderfully inspiring and entertaining video! Happy New Year!

Unrelated to this video . Thank you for your mod series. I just remoded my first deck. Your tips were pivotal in my guts to take on the chopping of a card deck. And the tips and tricks saved me tons of mistakes
I received the Wild Messenger Alchemical Tarot last year for Christmas. I absolutely love that deck. It took awhile to get used to and the animal associations. After my work with the guidebook and cards, I absolutely love that deck.

Your Alice journal is _whoa_ . I haven't decided which decks to work on this year, and since I got your Tarotbound book as a gift I'm taking the decision process very seriously lol. Thanks for sharing, your work is always so inspiring!
I'm currently doing a deep dive as you call it with The Witches' Wisdom Tarot. I take one card a day and (shamanic) journey and/or meditate with it to see what it has to say to me. Only then I look at the guidebook and write about the card in the journal I picked for it. I've never gone so deep with a deck, but this one called to me. Phyllis has been my teacher in the past and in 2020 we reconnected and I studied with her again. The pairing with Danielle is super, because I already loved her artwork and worked with her very beautiful Green Wheel Oracle. I have a feeling the WWT will become my personal deck that I will use the most.

I adore Hush tarot… having it for a week. And the imagery isn’t really creepy, if you see that everything is inside of the mind. Like, birds, corpse and etc. are just illustrations of the mind, state, thoughts, intentions and etc. Everything is surreal, except for Lovers. They are like an anchor for everything, in my practice.
I really liked this video Dawn Michelle. It's strange how some decks seem so much more approachable than others. I have a couple I always think I'll work with, and then rarely (or never) get around to it. I LOVE what you're doing with the Queen Alice tarot, and the ophidia Rose, that's a deck which seems to always be on my might get list :D "Thothier interpretation" - I'm stealing that expression :D I have just received the Mysteries of Mary tarot today and I'm going to have a proper look at it tomorrow
That's always so interesting to me how some decks just click and some don't. It's a good thing we have so many to choose from! Holy Light is a little bit intimidating, but I think I'm ready to tackle it. There is a second book for it (just as chunky) that I plan to get too. I'm a sucker for decks with multiple books. Great decks to work with! I feel the same about The Witches Wisdom Tarot. I absolutely love Phyllis Curott's writing and learnt a lot from her work too so I am so excited to deep dive into this deck in the New Year. I want to do a walkthrough on my channel so I've held off working with it but it's been so challenging to not work with it yet so I will have to film that walkthrough soon I think. I'm keen to work more with the Herbcrafters too as herbal magick is an aspect of my practice and learning more about Thoth is something I'm keen to do this year as well. I’m surprised to see your interest in the Motherpeace Tarot given it’s problematic cards and I’m interested to hear your opinion on the matter. I’d also be interested in your thoughts on the Dame Darcy Mermaid Tarot artwork controversy. I really wanted to love that deck but couldn’t get past the art issues. I go back and forth on the Motherpeace to be honest, but it was after watching Nina's videos (from Shuffle Tarot) that made me want to at least give it a go. As for the Mermaid Tarot, I do some have thoughts but overall it's turned out to be a favorite in my collection. I love the art style and adore the energy of the deck. It has a lot of personality and reads beautifully for me. Maybe some day I'll chat about my thoughts on the controversy a little in a video. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
I am looking forward to working with Tarot of the Divine in 2021! I received it when I had stepped away from my practice for a short while to integrate some changes and although I have looked through it, I haven't worked with it at all! And I may add Herbcrafters tarot to my collection this year ;)

Which Phyllis Curot (not sure of the spelling!) book would you recommend for someone new to the path? I’ve been watching some of her short videos on RU-vid and just love her general energy.
The one that I still use to this day is Witch Crafting, it was one of my first books and still remains my favorite. I also have her Book of Shadows but that is more of a memoir. I hope that helps. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
Interesting review of decks! I am just now designing a tarot deck after doing Oracle decks. I am curious about whether the Art speaks to you or something else in the process of using them. I am a 29 year veteran tarot reader.

I took a live video course with Christine Payne Towler. That deck is soooooo deep....it’s pretty intimidating. For me anyway. - there two books for that deck, just in case you didnt know.

I love the Hush Tarot so much. However, the first time I saw it when it released, the images creeped me out too much and I could only see the death and destruction and pain; but for some reason, a couple weeks ago I saw the deck again and as I watched a flip-through, I was immediately clicking with the images and what was once creepy/disturbing transformed into fierce/empowering. I think I had to be in the right mindset to appreciate it, and I just adore it now. It surprised me how that happened. :) BTW, I love the notebook you're using for the deep-dive to the Hush Tarot, at 12:28. What kind/brand is it? It's such a lovely color!

I worked with Witches' Wisdom all through December. I have been playing around with the Mary-El (1st ed) but need to do a deep dive on that one, so I think ill start there. My daughter has the Herbcrafters Tarot, she uses it for study, instead of readings, but loves it!

@@DawnMichelleTarot I have liked working with Witches’ Wisdom. The art work is stunning. But it does seem a bit of a “hug” deck. All the card definitions are talking as if all problems lie in the past, and you are on the other side already. So more of a Rah! Rah! Cheerleader, you can do this deck, rather then “this is what’s going down, you better hold on or figure yourself out” deck. Because I have mostly blunt decks, it’s a nice change of pace, but not one I’d use for every reading.
Girl, you have bitten off quite a chunk! These are some brainy decks. I went with the app for Tarot of the Holy Light...it has the book, and I can just look at a card every once in awhile, and read the blurb, small minds...Tabula Mundi is on fools dog app, as well and some other really wonderful decks. If anyone can do it, you can. I can't wait to see where all this study takes you. I'm doing Tarot of the Crone, all year. A card a day. Last year? free for all. I just played with my toys.
