@@MicarahTewers You're funny and entertaining (and beautiful - your male fans care a lot about this part), fantastic with video editing/scripting, but it would mean a lot if you would make videos also practical/educational for the people that want to sew? It will really help your female audience that isn't as fortunate as you. Your male fans don't care, they don't sew and don't plan on sewing, but it will give them the wrong impression that the textile industry professionals should be paid in pennies, because you make it look so magically effortless.
Even if the hints are purposefully misleading us, I don't care. A love story between a costume seamstress and a monster sculptor/carver is what the world needs.
i re-watched the valentine's day video where she gives two truths and a lie and the first is "he made something that's going to the moon" and Dan's bigfoot is going to the moon. so you know...i'm pretty sure they're dating.
@@belladonna615 I just looked back on a couple videos and it seems like they've been friends for a while! She posted his work at the end of the Arianna Wedding dress video, and he was also in the Barbie float video. They're super cute, I wanna know the story of how they finally got together!
Micarah, the only person in the world able to soft launch AND hard launch a boyfriend at the same time lmao, well done you're a genius, i love your brain
I have to say, the teal and gold is just so sensational and beautiful, you’ve yet again hit it out of the park, into the parking lot, into someone’s car’s rear window. Smashing success.
You're not kidding. I keep telling Facebook to keep the people who purposefully buy Victorian furniture and paint it white/mint green/pastel blue *OFF* my timeline. Get that stuff away from me! Micarah's renovations are like a breath of fresh air.
Don't be a hellish beige crone towards people's choices in their own homes. Some of us were raised under hoarding circumstances and semi minimalism is a sign of our healing.
Your painting is "The Soul of the Rose" by John William Waterhouse. :) He was a famous Victorian painter, so it's a perfect fit. His painting of the lady of Shalott (from King Arthur) was one of my favorites for a long time. BTW, your room is so beautiful. I think if it had just been all wallpaper it wouldn't look as good as it does with the trim and paint.
"Victorian Maximalist" is the trend we need to come back because I'm OBSESSED with how cute your room turned out! That teal and orange contrast was a stroke of genius
Saying something doesn't fit and that you don't like it but then KEEPING IT is wild 😭 It helps me to think "if I spill red wine on this item, how hard would I try to save it?" when I'm trying to throw my crap away. ♡
Every person who has ever properly remodeled a house gave you a mental high five for putting that note under the floor...I mean if you weren't dating the wax figure sculptor before he measured you, you might now be engaged in some countries. Once a guy has used a caliper to measure the girth of your skull, there's no going back from that...
I actually thought she was kidding about losing her pet snake only to find it mummified later in video ..Micarah has truly blurred that line between reality and made up stuff to promote her mental state ..I don’t even know how to perceive anything anymore 😭😭😭❤❤❤
Central Texas here. . . . every spring, in our youth, my sisters and I would reopen the closed outside umbrella for the first time, and have to deal with at least a few mummified lizards falling onto us. 😖 Or worse they make it all the way into the house and somehow get trapped and die, and get mummified above the bathroom exhaust fan and when you pull the cover down, you get a mummified lizard corpse falling in on ye. [They were mostly always strong male lizards too. :( ] In my early teen years, I had befriended a male lizard for a few years called ' Boo Boo Head' because he had scars on his head. Very original I know . . . . but I was maybe 13 at the time. He'd wait for me outside, and let me hang out with him for hours after school. I'd water him and hold him up to flies so he'd get a good meal. A few years later, he got stung by a parasitic wasp. He was shedding his skin at the time, but had a huge hole in the side of his abdomen. I put neosporin on the open wound and put his shedded skin over it, and the wound did heal marvelously, but unfortunately it had been a parasitic wasp or something equally as foul, and my poor wild lizard suffered for it. What was sad and incredibly sweet was, that he, in the middle of dying, came to see me for one last time. I hadn't've seen his for days and worried about him, but he returned and gave me a kind farewell. I still miss him, more than a decade later.
im sorry about your lizard! i would have been absolutely torn apart had that been me, you have a big and sweet heart for caring for the little guy the way that you did, and him coming back showed that he knew that! critters can always tell whos soul they can trust
@@TheOReport1994 I had an iguana I loved very dearly it passed away sadly this year so I totally understand the feelings you hold for you dear boo boo head rip to all the good lizzies out there
I feel like people are finally embracing victorian maximalism and as someone who has been obsessed with it since I was a child it’s so refreshing. Your home is beautiful, and this is definitely inspiring me to (pretend to) clean out my childhood bedroom and get rid of stuff I don’t need!!!
If you like colourful houses, Ariel Bissett has been posting renovation videos of her house and my favourite is her Emma inspired living / dining room! Her entire house is so colourful!
Evan and Katelyn (couple who makes stuff; their channel is just their names) also do watch-worthy sponsor ads. They have costumes and props and stuff. I feel like there is or should be a lot of crossover in the Venn diagram of their fans and Micarah's.
here is an idea: split the keep pile into keep to use and keep to FIX, then you can (pretend you'll) do a series of videos uplifiting those peaces. i would love to watch!!
I mean this as a compliment- you are the only RU-vid channel I have ever watched that I need to keep in regular speed 😂 I watch everything else on 2x but you, refreshingly, speak fast enough that speeding up the video I’d absolutely not necessary. Thank you!
“I would hate to encounter a future emergency where this is necessary and then not have it” is my thought process anytime I try to get rid of anything ever
" It is a family heirloom, not my family, but somebody's." THIS is why I am here. Your humor is simply S U P E R B & lightening fast. (I sometimes feel as though I am running on 78 while world runs on 33. Old-time reference.)
Yes! I keep trying to formulate a comment, but after reading all y’all’s to make sure it’s not redundant, I cain’t! I think I’m in love with Micarah’s channel😆 in a platonic way🥳
Oh wow, this turned out stunning!! I know it's been said but in the recent plague of beige and trends of 'flipping' beautiful old houses into modern monstrosities, this is so so refreshing, especially the attention to historically accurate detail. Now you could make a Victorian dress and film your own period piece à la Downton Abbey! Also that little matching outfit at the end is just a delight, it's so cute :) I'm so glad you're getting back into the swing of your videos in a much better mental place, it's a delight to see you again. You're also very inspiring, as I'm currently renovating my own bedroom and overhauling my wardrobe hoard- thanks for the wonderful inspiration! :)
This feels like an old Micarah video. I feel like she's finding her stride again after her health issues, mental health issues, and just that generally difficult time she had.
The ottoman glow up is amazing! Other furniture looks great too, but it was already pretty, it just needed to be refreshed. The ottoman looks like it time traveled and discovered itself in the Victorian era!
Your dad knowing you’ll want to keep your mummified snake is fucking great. You have such a wonderful relationship, and you’re also just such a weird person (meant as the highest of compliments).
I'm always in awe of how much creativity and imagination and dedication and energy....can fit into ONE human being's brain! Micarah you are incredible ❤
the kindergarten teacher dress at 4:10 slapped me in the face bc I'm currently wearing an almost identical one with inverse colours and watching this video while I eat breakfast before I go teach grade 3 math 😭
@@chileanyways196 check 11:55 on her last video (the kylie jenner collection) when her boyfriend reads her a poem... then check the voice on this video at around 15:33 lol. Dan IS her boyfriend!! that sneaky sneaky woman did it again, nonchalantly introducing her boyfriend in the video lol.
I knew she was dating someone but my stupid brain didn't put 2 and 2 together. I was wondering why she was so awkwardly flirting with this guy if she had a boyfriend.
So, I'm sure I wasn't supposed to *actually* find out anything about the art print... but I did it anyway. From my brief googling I found that it's called The Soul of the Rose (also sometimes called My Sweet Rose) by John William Waterhouse. Painted in 1908, it depicts the mortal Psyche smelling the roses in the Greek god Eros' garden (thanks Wikipedia). I'm sure it was very influential in the work of Frans le Bedonkydonk though, the similarities are unmistakable.
Love the house you bought! The renovations you made in the room you featured! The stained glass looking additions to the windows. Also the curtains you made to go with them! Plus the way you did the walls and ceiling! Fantastic! Enjoy! Love from Indiana!
Totally get your mom one of those babydolls! I work with dementia residents, and when they are hardcore sundowning, I grab our bassinet(yes, we have an actual bassinet full of babydolls and accessories), tell them their baby needs them, and they usually calk right down. It's magic!
My father had terrible anxiety with his early onset alzheimer's and he used to calm down when he held a baby (doll) ... even just while watching TV or something. And he would care for it and all. It's really amazing how well it seems to work.
Ten years ago I briefly worked in the dementia ward cafeteria in a retirement home, and your comment just reminded me of a resident there who once told me, "Can you bring my food quick, there's a baby in my room I'm taking care of." Wild that this is actually a thing! I'll have to remember this.
I've never left a comment before a video premiere. This feels like sitting in the chatter of a movie theater before the movie starts. I'm guessing there'll be a plot twist @ 3:03. Those numbers kinda spell out "WOW" If you turn your phone sideways and read it vertically. 303 WOW 303 Do you see it?
I absolutely cannot tell you how much I love that the first half of this video was just a big Easter egg hunt of all past videos. It just makes my heart happy.☺️
As a current "future daughter" I appreciate the saving. As a teen tons of my clothes had been my mothers, and some were from her friends who didn't have daughters. Now about half my clothes were my grandmothers before me. And I have a tote of my great grandmother's clothes and few pieces of my greatgreatgrandmothers which are fascinating to see and examine and pattern draft off of 😊
I was already shipping Micarah with the wax figure sculptor, but then I noticed how she said she was single WHEN SHE BOUGHT THE HOUSE, which means... She waassss single!
I loooove that painting! It’s by J.W. Waterhouse and if you haven’t seen his work I highly recommend it! His romantic art is my absolute favorite! His mermaid painting is gorgeous too.
no i actually love this. the gold and teal go beautifully together and make it appear extravagent and inviting at the same time. doing the wallpaper like you did, in blocks with trim, is something im going to have to remember because its Perfect for making something look good and Fancy without spending a buttload of money / gives me the opportunity to use scraps. using a metallic, gold in this case, really helps make the most of the light coming in the window, making the room feel so much brighter.
love that the teal becomes more vibrant green as it becomes darker/sunset outside, thats cool. as for the neighbor house view, lets just say if i were your neighbor and i took daily walks through the neighborhood id be interested in whats happening, or at the very least think your curtains are prettier than like 90% of houses in the area.
Those window decals are amazing! Your floor looks so good. Everything does.I love the ottoman. I'm so impressed. The room is GRAND. There's nothing you can't do!
If I may say I think Micarah is the perfect example of what an influencer should aspire to be a talented artist, master of her craft, a teacher, a comedian and personally what I like the second most, she only minds her own business ❤
I legit cried at the "The older the treasure, the more worth protecting it is" moment with your dad, because it made me think of my mom. ❤ Also, thank you for being a Tewers guide to the right path and helping me find the motivation to get back to decluttering my own place.
The room turned out so pretty! I love the wall color and painting around the ceiling medallion. We all love watching your videos and I personally enjoy puns. They are the highest form of comedy. Did you know there's a card game called "Punderdome"? You need it, like, yesterday.
I think we can all agree that the ~"Victorian Era" was peak in design internally, externally, in fashion, architecture and style of all kinds. There have been moments of brilliance since then but for a few solid decades there was awesomeness in every facet and it is yet to be surpassed for all-around excellence. Honourable mentions of course to Edwardian and Georgian styles but once a lady was on the throne no holds were barred in the pursuit of luxury in style. Your dressing room is spectacular. Congratulations babe, yet another dream realised.
I know normally you opt for vinyl like flooring when you reno but I'm so glad to see you put in those lovely real hardwood floors!! and keep the tile by the fireplace!
Writing a book about a planet where murderers are sent? Australian historian on top of eveything else - Micarah has so many talents ❤ Adore how the room turned out!!
I'm moving soon and have been uncertain just what color I want to paint my bedroom walls. That teal is so gorgeous I think I have my answer. As a lover of artistic maximalism and vibrant color, I think your house is an absolute dream.
Teal can be a really oppressive color for a room if it isn’t broken up!! It is beautiful but I’d highly recommend having woodwork or a lot of stuff on the walls to break up all that vibrant color.
@@kingly. I have a lot of wall art, fortunately. Most of it's in storage because my current place is so small, but I can hang it all up again when I move.
You would not BELIEVE how happy I was to hear you say “have you come to watch me dance” again your bedroom declotoring video is my favorite video of yours
My favorite part of your videos is how you bring across a sense of community, whether it is with family, friends, animals, or other locals! It is heartwarming to see these snippets of people helping out with a project or just joyfully being around :)
Ahh, it's so beautiful! The fact you even added the Victorian-style vents was such a great touch. And the future-proofing of your floor with the spiteful note? Chef's kiss.
Micarah, you are an inspiration, and not just because our first names rhyme. Your boundless creativity gives me hope that the world will still remain in color and not disappear into endless shades of beige, gray, and white.
Been going to the dentist a lot lately and it's so enjoyable to see a renovation that did not involve copious amounts of beige/light gray/white. Colors exist! This turned out gorgeous!
I have a couple of Renoir prints hanging in my bedroom. I think I want to revamp my space and make it an impressionist paradise. Your home is so beautiful, Micarah!
Oh my goodness, I LOVE how the room turned out! That teal is so beautiful and your floors!! 😍 Truly a gorgeous space befitting a lovely Victorian home. 🎉
Seeing you two together really warmed my heart. I pray that you will stay together and that you find everything good you’re searching for. Best of luck!!💗
The way you put it all together is amazing. Love how you just try things out and do new things. Even if it does not work out immediately you do make it work!
I gasped when the saw the room transformation. I’m with your Mom on this one. It is a place to bask in. To bask in its glory. Beyond beautiful! ❤ we need more of this and less of beige modern
