I decided to completely overhaul my tarot and oracle deck collection storage. Originally all my tarot and oracle cards were haphazardly shoved on a couple of shelves in my bookcase but I really wasn't enjoying storing them that way. So, I decided to pull all the decks off the shelves, flipthrough each one to see if it still resonates with me, and then rehome them on a whole new set of shelves. It took a long time but I'm really happy with how it turned out and I'm finding it is working really well.

I would say my Tarot and Oracle Card Collection is under twenty. Nicely inner-twined on a bookcase. However, your presentation is calmingly placed as in many metaphysical shops. I absolutely love the shelf display! I generally don’t keep boxes. The vast majority of my decks are in bags. I use make up bag since they come in so many different designs and they’re usually big enough to hold more than one deck. It really helps me save on space. I’ve combined certain decks into what I call a super deck. Sometimes it’s because it’s by the same person, other times it’s just because the energy, size, and overall look blend well together. I have two baskets that I keep all my bags in. I have about 70 decks and I’m able to keep them all within those two baskets. I think it’s really helpful if you don’t have a lot of room to get rid of the boxes and use bags instead. I do love the display look of the boxes though very nice. I am now going through my decks and trying to Declutter. Some decks I’m getting rid of certain cards and keeping other ones. Also I keep my cards stored in one basket for decks I can easily read without further guidance from the book, and the other basket is cards I need the book to fully understand.

Thank you 🙏🏻 Wow, I love how eclectic you are with your decks ❤️ it is so much more economical with space to get rid of the boxes. Funny what you said about your two baskets. I’ve found that the decks I really know well and use regularly have found their way to the lower shelves. And the decks I need to spend more time getting to know are up on the top shelf 🤣🙈

That looks great! You did very well. What a fantastic idea to reuse the boxes to store things in. I threw all my boxes I was keeping in the recycle on the weekend. I was just overwhelmed with the clutter.

I have mine sorted and stored in categories (for example, all my Doreen Virtue decks), in drawers. And others in storage boxes. My _everyday_ decks are on my reading table, or my night stand. My *dream* is to have a dedicated room/ space... that's likely a 2022 goal/ plan.

We ended up doing a declutter and reorganization around the same time! I did declutter quite a few, but I also knew I had some preordered decks coming in 2021 I wanted to make room for. I felt I had outgrown the decks I decluttered, or just wasn't feeling them anymore.

I loved that, what a perfect way to store your amazing decks!!! I have 6 decks, I have my eye on the astro soul Oracle deck & also the lemurian starchild Oracle. I tend to go for oracle rather than tarot but I am interested in learning tarot too 🌟🌟🌟 xx

Its funny that this video should pop up!! I am going through and reorganizing my decks. Not to long ago i moved on about 30 or so and there are more i know i need to let go of. The struggle is real. You new display looks amazing!

I start to get anxiety when my deck collection grows beyond my designated storage. That's usually when I decide to donate/sell and release the ones I no longer feel connected too.

I love your style so much - your room looks beautiful. We have quite a few decks in common (LOVE Paulina Cassidy 💖). I have a smallish bookcase with current favourite decks and books beside my bed, the rest I store away apart from whatever I am using on my desk/reading area. Having all my decks out didn't work for me, too much to chose from - I end up using the same ones over and over, or not at all. Frodo is a cutie! Ive just been re-reading LOTR ☺️💖

Your storage shelves look lovely and you have a wonderful collection of decks. I think we are similar in our intentions in curating decks. I have some that I don't really use, but I admire and appreciate the artwork and in some way, feel I am supporting the amazing artists. Many of them, however get used throughout the year and they do bring me joy ❤

I just bought my first deck and I'm still learning the cards and how to use it so I can't imagine a whole WALL of decks. But it looks great and if you use them all then nothing's sitting around unloved.

I really love this idea! I've been culling mine lately too (or at least filling a box with those which will be going when I get round to it). In some ways I think I needed to go through buying lots, to work out what works for me. My spare room is a very long, ongoing project but I may have to incorporate some of these shelves into it, thank you 😊 xxx

I am a two deck person 😂 I think I have three different decks and two oracle decks. But I tend to stick to the same ones. I love how you have yours all ready, they can speak to you when they want to be used. I love love Frodo, 🦋 he’s gorgeous x

I love how your collection looks on the wall! At the moment I store my decks in their boxes on the shelves behind me and the ones I am currently working with on my deck with their backs facing up, unless I have a daily draw from this deck... then I have this card on the top of the pile with its front facing up. I am still not entirely happy with my system but I'm working on it... I have found that the more I can see and access my decks the more often I reach for them. :) (It took me a while to see the obvious..lol!)

Funny how that’s often the way 😄 my favourite thing about this overhaul is that bottom shelf which I keep for the decks I’m actually using. I used to get cluttered with decks sitting out with a card or 3 pulled from each. But now I put them back on the shelf, and sometimes put the cards I pulled facing forward so I can see them. I don’t think there is such a thing as a perfect system though. It’s all trial and error, and trial ... 😄

Looks beautiful!! They are definitely like chips! I have maybe 7 decks. Waiting on one a teacher developed. And another a friend is still working on. Hers is 108 cards. 16 left to go she sd. The deck has taken over 2 yrs to develop. And unfortunately I still haven't got any of my friend, Sasha Grahams ..yet! Sometimes a deck will just call to me. But I try to buy from ppl I know to personally help support them. Decks are a tool, but are not needed. And at 60 wow! Do u know them all?

I definitely know some better than others. I wonder the same when I see people with collections into the hundreds. You’re right there is so much choice now and so many creators doing meaningful work that it feels right to support 💖

Wow this looks to beautiful! I'm struggling with the same thing, trying to decide the best place to store my decks. Most are on my altar which is like a tiered shelf but as I get more decks there is just not enough space, so I've been trying to get rid of some at the same time. Also I LOVE the color on your walls. Have also been wanting to paint my living room a similar colour but it's hard to find a shade that just the right peach, not too pink or too orange. Much love to you. xoxox

Hey Gitta 💖 thanks! I’m so happy with how this turned out. I think decks do have a habit of outgrowing the space 😄 I LOVE my wall colour too. It’s called Delilah by earth born paints (basically non toxic clay paints) and the colour is perfect. It’s rich and definitely pink but with a lot of orange in there so it feels just right. Love to you and your gorgeous family 💖

I will have about 120 tarot decks once December comes around. Waiting on 7 Kickstarter decks amd two pre-orders from Amazon. I only have 17 or 18 oracle decks....mostly from Fire Witch Tarot's Etsy. You can mever have to many decks. All of mine are cramped in their original boxes with only a few in velvet bags, on two shelves of my dresser. I need a serious organizer for my decks.

I forgot to say, I decided to display the cards, which are not in boxes, with the backs showing rather than the fronts because that felt better energetically. If you store your cards loose do you do the same? Or intentionally choose the top card? (which is something else I considered doing).

Jessica Starr TheStoryWitch would definitely do backs facing out. To me face out is more like leaving a book open. I have been wondering- what do others do with the 'remaining' part of decks they have taken some cards out of either for a card pull / reading, or for study? I mainly keep them out, which is soon 'clutter'. But if I put them away I get muddled up about which decks are available to read with. It's good to peek into other people's rooms.

Sometimes I’ll put the card/ cards I’ve pulled face out in front of the deck on that shelf too. Before I would have the same thing with decks with cards out and lying around.

I don't do this myself, but I would also choose backs facing out. I think I would be really bothered by worries about dust and sun-fading. I didn't realize I would feel that way until seeing that some of your decks were not in boxes or bags! But your shelves look beautiful, and I agree with others that this seems likely to encourage more use of more of them!

@@nmelodic6391 it’s a sensible concern, especially with the possibility of some backs fading more than others. The wall I have them on is only in indirect sunlight so I’m hoping it will be ok.

Oh my gosh, I’m not really sure. Less than 100, but probably more than 50 if I count tarot and oracle 😬😁
