The oldest makeup item I have in my collection is TheManizer Sisters highlight trio palette, which I’ve had for years and still love. But I never thought very highly of the brand’s eyeshadow formulas.

Hi Maaike I never bought the Balm palettes despite the hype when they released. The only one I was really tempted by was the Bon Jovi palette (mostly for it being Bon Jovi 😂), but when I saw it in person (it was available in Superdrug for a while) I was a bit unimpressed with the quality for the price and didn’t buy it. I also never bought the powder blushes as I don’t use powder blush or the very viral luminizer as it looked really dark for my skin tone. All in all it wasn’t a brand I really wanted to buy. I have seen some of their products in TKMAXX over the last couple of years btw and still haven’t bought them. Basically everything I saw being raved about looked too dark or too warm for me and just never sparked any “ooh” type reactions as much as I really liked the packaging 😂. Best wishes x

That Bon Jovi palette was fun and one of the better ones they did I am sure. But yeah they have pretty much disappeared and couldn't keep up.

Fun topic because I just decluttered all my matte balm palettes. I had depotted them into a huge z palette. It was the palette of my dreams and I loved them. I only wore matte shadows back then. Anyway they are all too old, I now wear shimmer and I have much better formulas! I also got rid of The Balm of Your Hand. I had another one at one time that had those tiny eyeshadow pans and some cream blushes but I got rid of it. I think their shimmers are even worse than their mattes and I hate those small pans. I still have one palette. I should probably declutter in but it has a really unique blush and highlight in it. It’s the Alternative Rock cool toned palette. It has purples, pinks and grey eyeshadow. I would love it but the formula is trash! I should depot the blush and highlight. I really want to be a fan of the balm but I just can’t. 😕☺️. Though their bronzers, blush and highlight are very good! I just don’t need any more. In the USA I’ve seen a lot of face palettes really cheap at Ross.

The Balm eyeshadows are not good. I decluttered nudetude and balm voyage. I kept Balm Jovi because its music related.

They were decent for the time, but they don't hold a candle to the quality we have nowadays.

In my opinion their cheekproducts outperformed their eyeshadow palettes. Their mattes were hard pressed on not easy to work with. And yes, other brands certainly have way better mattes to offer. I think that both The Balm and Flower Beauty suffered from lack of restock as well as too little choice.

Yes! Lack of restocking but also the fact that NL just isn't a makeup land. I think we are a difficult country to launch in.

Ik heb hem weggedaan omdat ik hem to veel op de huid vond liggen, maar ik heb al mn blushes en bronzers nog in een doors vanwege de mooie verpakkingen.
