Declutter Vlog: Less Stuff, Less Stress Part 7 

I discovered you this weekend and have watched every video I can find. I am a 60 year old female (60 Friday!) and I am a huge fan of yours. The make-up, the DYI, the organization tutorials, the gardening, fashion, and the love of animal free cruelty cosmetics. You are great with your speaking and presentation. You are the kind of person anyone would love to have as a neighbor. Your parents must be so proud! I loved when your husband applied your makeup. He's a sweetheart too. Keep doing what you are doing. Perfection!

I'm still watching these is 2016😂 I love this declutter video in particular because of the stories behind your photos with Michael, you can see the love you two have together, and the happiness that radiates when you reminisce over memories tied to old photos! I know you have moved since this but where you live and the simple happy life you two live that is so tied to nature is so inspiring to me as a teenager!

The happiness on Michael face when you have him taking out the cupcakes was priceless in the other video. It was like FINALLY !!!! He loves you enough to not make an issue out of your obsessions and waits for you to do the purging.

Love the declutter videos. Your swap meet pile is definitely NOT junk. I like to think of it as well loved items that you have enjoyed for a while and now its time to pass it on to someone else who might love to have them and enjoy them for a while. Thanks for the inspiration to declutter.

Everytime I feel the urge to keep something I haven't used in over a year or get usinspired to keep this up, I turn on one of these videos and it reignites me to keep going until I get through everything. Thank you so much for doing this. You generosity and organization skills are examples to us all. Growing up my family always saved everything and I never knew until I started watching your videos exactly how to organize and clear out.

I just have to say that aside from all of the amazing things that you are doing to de-clutter and the "make-out 2013"... the fact that you have been holding that camera in your right hand for each video the whole time while at the same time literally cleaning out your house is seriously impressive!! ...♥...Jackie

I just watched all the declatter videos, and I feel like I completed a long journey with you: I stressed out, overcame, and succeeded with you.

I am still watching this in 2016 too. Although i do not have nearly as much stuff as you, i still have a problem with getting rid of stuff. These videos helped me pass my day at work as well as make a list of all the stuff i can de-clutter in my closet room. It also helped me think of new ways to get rid of stuff that i hate to throw out because i feel like it is a waste. Through this video I learned that empty space is good and can help to unclutter my mind as well as my space. thanks so much for sharing! I may just create my own video for my followers as well.

I have to say, through watching you over the course of these videos, I just love you more and more! You're so down to earth and so real, and everything you have to offer, teaches people something about life. And you make me feel less lonely sometimes because you're more than just a beauty guru to us, but a friend as well :')

I am always shocked by the amount of make-up these ladies have on RU-vid. It's sad that we place so much importance in this type of thing. I LOVE that you are acknowledging this as an issue for you, facing it, and donating to people who are less fortunate. This is such a fantastic message you're sending. You have hit me at such the appropriate time in my life for these videos! This is where I am at as well... have begun the MAJOR purge and the morretorium on stuff! No more stuff is being brought into my home (other than groceries) until, at least, May 2013; until then stuff goes out on a regular basis. Yay to having so many friends doing the same thing!

Your series made me want to change my life around and I thank you for that. I love that you are strong enough to purposely change your habits and NOT be like everyone else and for staying so true to yourself... These videos are like a breath of fresh air! I went through my small collection of makeup and nailpolish and got rid of some old stuff that I previously simply couldn't. I had gotten some eyeshadows from a person who's very important to me, and I simply couldn't get rid of them. They were very, very old, I couldn't use them anymore, but I just had to keep them. I had some old nail polish left, just in case I would need them. Bye bye 19 polishes

Ms Lady, you have inspired me to get things together in my life, I feel like I can get things ore in order not just a detox of my stuff, but getting a job, eating healthier, living healthier, going out to places, it's nerve racking. Your vids are like a little get-away for me and well many others too. You should do advice videos for the simply clueless that have a clue! Congrats on getting things decluttered.

Love your new way of living and I too have decided that is how I want it, get rid of the materialistic attitude and purging. I did my closet and donated all my business clothes since I will not be working in an office again and purged my make up keeping only what I like and use and it feels wonderful. Love not shopping. This is it haha. We don't have a normal living room, just a front room. The pigs are the "entertainment center" and we haven't owned a TV since 2004. So it's a little different than many other homes but we love it this way. Now that I'm removing the clutter it's even more enjoyable. :D

Awesome! Yes, I love using turmeric as well! I've read about using yogurt and milk, although since I can't have dairy I figured I better use water in place of it in recipes. It's quickly become one of my favorite exfoliators! :)

I have just gone through the same process with my scrapbooking supplies and what a relief to finally purge what was making me feel so guilty for buying. Next on my list is books, I have hundreds of them and all they do is collect a lot of dust. I am also on a journey of spending less and over the last few months I have saved so much money, :) loving this series :)

thanx for these series of declutter, i dnt own much makeup which was a lot of your clutter but the idea is the same, i cleaned out my bookcase (and got rid of most of my books turns out i only read/like a third of my collection), my kitchen and my bedroom dresser. i got rid of a lot of "decorative" pieces. Turns out one truly special piece surrounded by SPACE is a lot more flattering than a lot of "cute" stuff. My wardrobe/ closets and garage our next. thanx!

with all those makeup gurus hoarding makeup, I think it's amazing that you're doing this. to admit that there is a problem, that it is not normal to have storages full of products that can never all be used properly. I just wanted to tell you that you are so insiring! I have been watching your videos for a few months and I love them. These videos you are doing now though are truly amazing though. I have collected alot of makeup over the years (The word collect is not a good word to me anymore, since seeing these videos.) I have been going through my collection to give things away, use up old favorites I forgot about and sort so I can use everything better.

I can't wait for more DIY skin treatments! I've been dabbling with all natural skin care. Finally took the plunge and I'm using grapeseed oil and lavender tea tree oil as my facial moisturizer. So far so good. Crossing my fingers it doesn't break me out.

I loved the idea of the coffee and tea bar. I have enjoyed all this de clutter series. I'm giving away some makeup inspired by part 4. I feel that I can see and enjoy better what I have.

Thank you!! For the clay mask, I use a ceramic bowl and mix the clay with apple cider vinegar or my Thayer's toner. This clay tightens even more so than the Moroccan red clay, so definitely avoid the delicate skin around the eye area.

For Make Out 2013, each person can set their own individual goals and guidelines for a less is more, clutter free year. I feel it's important to have it be customized to the individual, since we each vary a little in our habits and specific areas that may need work. I'll do a video with more details about my goals but basically I'm allowing myself 10 makeup item purchases for the year, that includes nail polish and even if I run out of something I love and have to repurchase. :)

Wow! You really purged. Over time, you may find that you want to shed some furniture. Where you store your steam and mask ingredients may come to do double duty, or you may find a home for those items elsewhere in the house. This series is very motivating. Thank you.

I totally understand! It seems that everything is connected, when a person is doing exceptionally well in one area of their life it naturally spreads to the other parts of their life. But sometimes we struggle to get on course, that's where making goals comes in. Take some time, sit down and visualize what you truly want in your life. Write a list of: #1 The changes you want to make. #2 The outcome you want to see. #3 The steps you need to take to get there. #4 Believe, you CAN reach your goals!

3 yrs ago the show Clean House got me to start the clutter downsizing. It is amazing how much we collect. We are constantly bombarded by tv media magazines. It is like a constant choice to say no!!!

Good question, I use to drink a little socially, but I never liked how it made me lose my edge, I like to be alert and sharp. It's nice to relax but I found tea is just as relaxing for me. Also I remember looking in the mirror once while I was buzzed and I didn't like how dull it made my eyes. I thought, well gees that doesn't look attractive lol. So I decided I liked bright eyes more than a buzz. ;)

i have just finished watching this whole series first time seeing you. ganna have a look at your other videos and see what you do. at first i was like YAY giant amazing collection that makes me drool, but then as the series went on i was like hey thats how i think. my makeup/skin care/perfume/nail polish collection all fits into one ONE! dresser draw!!!!! and you have made me feel so much better and that i am doing the RIGHT thing!!!! so PROPS TO YOU!!!!!

Very well done!! At first, I couldn't believe my eyes seeing all the makeup you had but you know, these compagnies work had so that you keep buying their stuff... I have 2 lipsticks, 2 mascaras, 1 eye primer, the lorac pro palette, 2 blushes, 1 eyeliner, 2 bb cremes... and yes, I see great products in stores, want to buy more and more!!!

I really enjoyed watching this series. it is true that it is really difficult to escape from the collection and so on above all when you are active on youtube, I am still far from having too much makeup but I do clean a lot sdometimes and give to my sister and so on;

I understand how you feel on getting rid of things that you don't need. You did like it at one time but when it becomes clutter then it's time to get rid of it. I like to have very few decorative items around my house. Great idea on selling a lot of stuff at the Swap meet. I noticed the jar of shells was in that section.:) I'm so happy Dottie got a bf. Probably if I did my whole appartement I would find more stuff and yes les stuff you have more it looks cleaner and you don't feel you can breath. Very nice video.
