Be careful getting into bed with Cricut. They made their entire following extremely upset in March. If you thought the beauty community had drama look up the Cricut drama in March with the crafting community!
That was a lot of waste with your vinyl. I’d suggest after cutting with the Cricut, cut your word out before weeding. Also, you can put the letters closer together in the program if you want to.
I’m an absolute hoarder.. I love craft, do hair, make up (just got into this year) and diy, nothing is organised 😭 I hate getting rid of things and I don’t know why. Xxx
I'd love to see more of these pallette "declutter" videos! Even if you don't get rid of anything, it's fun to revisit old palettes and go over what you love about them! 💓💓
I was wondering this myself bc I have to declutter/organize myself so was wondering if ppl are interested in seeing a video even if I don't declutter much. I enjoy watching them and filming them 🤗
@@RobertWelsh I really love the idea in general of going back and using "old" palettes. Maybe you prefer more reviewing than tutorials... but if you ever are low on ideas, I'm sure everyone would be more than okay with you revisiting great palettes! 🎨
I always go into declutters wanting to clear out and make space, so I can actually use my makeup. But then I swatch it and everything is so pretty! I'm definitely getting tougher this time!
@@RobertWelsh you mentioned moving and I just moved and have boxes of stuff in my office of my art/craft stuff that I never used because I got addicted. They are labeled nicely though. 😂
Hey Robert! I love when you go through your pallets 😅 To answer your question, I prefer similar colors to be grouped together on pallets. It’s just how my brain is wired. On the other hand, it’s helpful when they’re arranged in a way where you’ll know which colors go together. Side note: there’s no one on this earth who’s taught me more about makeup than you. You’re so amazing and I just wanted to say thank you 💜🖤
I like my colors in order. Freaking love when I see palettes that actually organize their mattes and shimmers. My OCD can’t take the chaotic ones. Especially the ones that look like they tried to organize them at first, but then had like a few in the wrong spots.
OMG yes. I'm way too persnickety for jumbled palette layouts. I need to have colors in order. It's just more pleasing to the eye, but also helps keep me sane lol.
I do what Marie Kondo says. I hold an item and ask myself if it truly brings me joy. It really keeps you from having an excess of stuff. It's like a soul deep joy you're looking for. Not "oh that makes me happy." Sounds dumb but my makeup and everything is incredibly minimal because I just won't spend money on something unless it gives me all the feels.
A huge pallet like the beauty bay one I want in color order. The sigma princess one makes sense because it’s smaller. I have adhd so big pallets not in color order are overwhelming. Not a rainbow pallet, but color pop stone cold fox is the most pleasing pallet to look at 😍
I would LOVE to see your Entire eyeshadow palette collection. I remember a video when you were trying to estimate how many you had, and you were looking over at the wall with James. You were saying something like "well, there's a hundred per shelf, and there's -however many- shelves", I would LOVE to see all of them. Even if it's a three-hour long video. Just putting that out there
Declutter videos are such a nice nostalgia trip. when you brought up the Sigma cinderella pallette I remembered the review and the look you did, so it was a nice treat to see that the pallette still held up in your opinion. whenever I declutter it's really about how much I use the product as well as the amount of colors that get used. I only have two pallettes to my name and I kind of do my best to use as many colors as possible to compliment my face and not be too overpowering
What do we (the watchers) love about you? EVERYTHING!!! The mere fact that you labeled this video a declutter video and only got rid of 1 palette speaks volumes! Your love for makeup, your integrity to give brands a chance, your idealistic view that maybe it will work another way also speaks to us about your personality. Robert, you never disappoint, you bring each one of us (the watchers) an honesty beyond compare. Thank you for always being a positive influence in our lives. LOL I am speaking for the community at large because making a comment about me (only I matter) makes me sound selfish! However, I ADORE YOU!!! That is my sincere an honest reality! Thank you for all you do.
It’s so nice to see someone else enjoying a cutting machine!!! I am a Silhouette girl myself…same thing different brand. I use it for EVERYTHING. Cards. Art Journal. Templates/stencils for my business (cake decorator). Crafts for kids. EVERYTHING.
Just watched James video and want to comment on here as well. BOTH you and your brother are the MOST transparent RU-vidrs when it comes to sponsorships, PR, and gifts! It is so refreshing and I hope more channels follow suit in 2022! 👏👏👏
100% agreed! And I LOVE how they use their knowledge and expertise on commenting all these crazy tik tok/viral stuff and the use of photo manipulation/filters on social media. Besides their personalities, that is the main reason that keeps me coming back to their channels
the reason is that the UK is really strict with the advertising in comparison to the US. it's illegal for them to not mention it and US influencers can get away with it because laws are lenient.
@@wendyvoye3110 I'm not saying they aren't responsible lol. I can't speak on their character because I don't know them personally but I'm just saying they have a legal obligation to do so.
I love the Jade x Beauty Bay palette because I have my warm tones in the top half and the cool tones at the bottom half. It’s not chaotic like the Made by Mitchell palettes but it can be overwhelming to makeup beginners. It’s easily become one of my favourite palettes!
Bought that Cinderella palette and it is stunning! The camera doesn’t do it justice. I get more compliments when I wear it than any other one I own. And the brushes!!! I have never kept the brush that comes with a palette before. I appreciate you so much! And I organize my palettes by size, LOL. Mine are on my counter starting in the back with the largest.
I really like it when palletes are organised by type, the shimmers groups in one section, the mattes, in another etc. And then by colour order, kind of like the colour spectrum one you had.
I like when the colors are in order! I have so few like that, but it's my favorite way for them to be organized. So much easier to come up with look imo
I bought the Beauty Bay Bright palette with 42 shades because you recommended it, and I end up using atleast one shade from it every time I do my make up. I got the one with both mattes and shimmers and it's really amazing 😍
I have decluttered all of my big palettes. I do like palettes to have similar color shades in a grouping, not all over the place. I just decluttered about 25 palettes and gave to multiple friends. Anything I haven't used in a while goes. Others can enjoy. Thanks for sharing. More declutter videos please! 💜💚💛💙
Yes, please do more of these declutters! Even if you only got rid of one, I enjoyed watching! Also, for me, I like it when the shades of same colour family are grouped together in a palette. It’s more visually pleasing to me ☺️
I love tired Robert. So honest and exited. If I was your neighbor I’d SO help you organize and clean. Makes me happy when I see you exited and talk about all the stuff you like 🥰🥰 Love you Robert! I hope you been well!!
Absolutely give me the seemingly random, scattered arrangement of colors. I 100% prefer a more haphazardly assortment of colors over the pans being "organized" by color or like a rainbow.
I'm really unwell today, but I still got a good laugh out of Robert trying his best to declutter, and mostly just getting really excited about eyeshadow pallettes. Especially the end 😆
I got off work at 11p.m the other night & came home & organized all 3 of my closets & my entire room. It feels so much better. I have hoarder tendencies as well. I keep boxes & i hoard cleaving supplies & makeup/hygiene I prefer my colors to be together instead of all jumbly
I love them being in colour order. I also think it's very good to have in order, like the elf one you showed, for people who are blind but love makeup such as molly burke and having the different finishes too all together in an easy to navigate and use order. Ps I love your videos, have a great day.
I start to declutter when I run out of storage. If I haven’t used it in a while, I’ll swatch through some of the shades and maybe even use it once more. If I’m underwhelmed, it goes. No nonsense! Love seeing your and others methods though. It’s always interesting.
Because I lack the artistic abilities of MUA's I prefer smaller palettes like those you showed in the Eunique Festive palettes. To many options are intimidating and confusing for me. Smaller palettes take away the guess work and I just feel more comfortable. Off point but a HUGE thank you. I was struggling with how my foundation and concealer were looking. I knew you had done a video this year on skin prep. Sure enough I found it and started sparingly using a skin oil around those difficult areas and it was the best solution ever!
How I always organize my makeup is by color I own a lot of colourpop palettes so I have a basket I keep them all in and then the other palettes like morphe and bh cosmetics or revolution I organize by size.
I just bought a Cricut. I had dreams of decluttering and perfectly labeled containers for everything in my home. The labels are looking amazing, but the decluttering part of it not so much. I have way too much makeup, considering I barely wear any. Someday I might decide to go full glam. Even though I never have in my entire 45 years of life, except for a tragic glamor shot when I was young. I’ve always just done a natural, dewy, skin, smudged black kohl eyeliner, and bright red. Stuck in the 90s? Sure. But when I’m shopping for makeup and see a super sparkly highlighter or a brightly colored eyeshadow pallet, I just can’t stop myself from buying. There are only so many red lipsticks and black eyeliner to be bought. It will all be nicely labeled at least.
I discovered doing makeup just for creative expression (like painting or drawing!) gave me a lot of freedom to experiment since I didn't plan on going out with it. No time limit to be done and no pressure of perfection. And you get to use all the crazy colours you'd never wear otherwise!
If it's a small palette, I don't mind them spread out, but I find bigger palettes really overwhelming when they're not grouped by color. It's much easier for me to plan looks when I can tell what my colors are just by looking at it
Your labels look so professional and elevates the space. Although I never used this labeler, as a teacher I had to label thousands of items- baskets, drawers, book shelves, folders, etc. This not only helped me find things but made it easy for my students learn to read and to find things on their own and become more independent. Absolutely try labeling things in the kitchen and it’s a fabulous idea for a guest or family bathroom closet items with a general baskets for related items. We have a lot of sleep over company and they can find anything. Good Luck.
Roooooobeerrt! I know you love purple, and I love purple.. I think you'd love the huda beauty rose quartz palette! I'd love to see you play with it, maybe give me a few ideas as well!
Thank you for showing us all the pallets that you like, I don't have a pallete. I have very deep set eyes so anything other than eyeliner will be hidden. So now and then I just use a highlighter or some blush on my eyelids
The Jade beauty bay pallet is so underrated!! I love it so much! I even bought it for a couple people for Christmas because its such a nice started pallet. I do wish it was in colour order and not jumbled!
My declutter strategy is: have I used it in the last few months? Then, does it still bring me joy? Then go from there! Love seeing these videos- even if it’s just to say why you are liking certain palettes enough to keep them!
My pallets are all in an Easter basket. It's cute and sits on a shelf till I'm doing my makeup. Also, I like smaller pallets, so I've fit about 14 in there. I got 2 new ones from Oden's Eye and I'm in love !
I remember early Bratz dolls had the really boring beige-y color palette of the early 2000s. I wasn't really interested in the dolls until they started using more bold colors. From the art on the front, I guess they were really reflecting that early era. I had the toys growing up but looking back they're really not my thing...just liked miniatures. Anyway I love hearing your takes on these palettes! Its good to see what is and isn't worth it!
All of my make-up fit in a deep drawer and my favourites sit on top of the vanity shelf for me to see and appreciate. I have been trying to have a minimal collection and stopped purchasing anything but things I need to replace. (like mascara, concealer and foundation) But I could see myself becoming a hoarder if I had to buy them for my job. (like a make up artist or youtuber/vlogger)
I like the jumbled around palette tbh. Also, yes. Beauty Bay is AMAZING. I feel like, especially in the U.S. it is slept on and I recommend them to everyone.
Dyyyying 😂 w/ Robert telling me to look away and flapping that giant 🎨 @ me in a flash test! I have never told a man this before but…. You are funny as hell!
I love watching your videos. Yes, don't be to hard on yourself. It's hard to get rid of something you love even if you don't use it often. I don't know if you have ever tried his stuff but I love every pallette from Scott Barnes and his brushes are my favorite along with sigma.
I love all of my shades grouped together according to color. It is just how my mind works? Exactly, Robert, you said what I have been thinking and that is not everybody purchases a lot of palettes! I like having a good larger palette that contains a lot of colors with a really great formula to just dip into if I need a certain color. And then I add a palette to it here and there when I really want something and it comes highly recommended. 💜💜
I’ve been having such a bad week and really needs this, “watch me anti- Swedish death clean” video! The thumbnail made it even better! I hate to encourage someone to hoard but this has been my fav declutter video ever! 😂❤️
I also used to hoard a lot, packaging and such. I'm doing a lot better about it now, what helped me is taking pictures of the packaging in all angles and lighting.
For me before Christmas I always get into this makeup organisation mood, bc I know that I will get some makeup as gifts so I want the new stuff to fit into my collection. It is also a good time to analyse which products I have actually used during the year, and which are just sitting in my drawers.
I loved this video! Watching your eyes light up looking and talking about these pallets was so much fun. I could feel your passion through the screen, you are my favorite on the platform Robert ❤
Lol you’re so much fun to watch! I gotta say the way the 3ina palette is organized is so much more appealing for me bc the disorganization of the beautybay makes it harder to want to use bc the colors don’t make sense, there’s no story, harder to find what you want to use so I’d probably never even open it bc of that. And also it seems more cheap disorganized like Makeup Revolution. As of the company wants you to think there’s a lot of colors but really several are the same or so similar that they’d never get used. I need that 3ina palette now though! 😂😂
