If you haven't thrown out the scraps from the brown pants, might I suggest you add a couple of triangle panels of that material to the side seams to get that A-line silhouette you're looking for? You could even do it on the inside seam so it's less visible?
I know you call us stinky babies but when you said “grubby little paws” I couldn’t help but picture us all as raccoons. Trash pandas digging around in the garbage looking for nummy things, kinda toot, I imagine also stinky (??? not sure though, just seems like they would be), sounds like it fits lol

Baby girl, just throw the items in a washing bag or a pollow case and use the "gentle" program of your washing machine. I haven't washed anything by hand in more than a decade and I haven't ruined a single item, incl. bras and pantyhoses.

Yes eBay is still an amazing platform and like so many different search criteria and filters. Also as far as I can tell they're ethics as a tech company who has existed since 1995 seem to still be pretty solid. They should probably update their aesthetics a little bit but either then that just amazing.

I did a closet cleanout a few days before last week's video came out, then I took photos of a bunch of stuff I plan on selling and put together my own mending/tailoring death pile, and now here we are with this video! question: how tall are you? I'm ~5'9" and frequently run into the "cute pants are a Bit too short" problem. I also moved from a cool city back to the great lakes xp my favorite shorts EVER are from The Garment District in Boston. They're vintage, mid thigh length, flowy, w/ a bit of tailoring. Makes a black tshirt feel special x) also kind of a mini version of small top big pants!
I’m 5’7”! Not super tall but with long leggies & a shorter torso 😆🦵🏼🦵🏼 New england thrifting/vintage sounds amazing - I’ve never made my way over there! 😍
Pants that taper are hard to hem neatly into shorts but you can open the side seams to half the depth of the hem before you sew the hem and that generally allows you to add enough ease at the sides to prevent them pinching in. You also have to be really careful to turn your hem at 90 degrees to both of the side seams. Downtown Tailoring has a good tutorial video. Your shorts still look cute though.
