@syndicate Such people have made us realize 911 was done by some people outside from US defying all laws of physics and science and logic and paved a path to invade US troops in a war torn poor country. They made the whole world to believe two planes could make two concrete and steel buildings fall easily just by colliding with them and also planes can slide through steel and concrete buildings. US thought she could win the war in Afghanistan using its brutal force against the war torn country, as she did against Native Americans in history. US speculation went wrong when they couldn't win over the people of Afghanistan after bombarding and killing them for more than 20 years. This war has brought US administration to their knees and let China give a chance to rise up as a global Trade Mighty challenger. Talibans are nothing but the local people from Aghanistan who decided to resist US invasion to their homeland. The groups who were fighting with USSR joined with them for their one cause to expell US forces from their homeland. US wants to keep a hold in the region to challenge China but Afghanis are never ready to compromise on their national interets on the terms of US adminstration. So they want peace on their terms and not on US Terms.
USA had the same plans for Pakistan what they did to Afghanistan and Iraq but Musharaf surprised Americans by siding with American effort, he gave no excuse to America to invade Pakistan. Note : In2001 America was a sole super power, Russia and China emerged after 2012.
This is the point. People of other destroyed nations should have done what Musharaf the lion did. He fooled them and Pakistan survived to fight another day.
I don't think this in such manner. If Musharraf didn't back the US, it would be hard for the US to even invade & sustain such long war & damage in Afghanistan. Besides, Pakistan was not vulnerable unlike Afghanistan & Iraq since it was a Nuclear armed one.
