3-yr old Temtop M2000C Air Quality Monitor just says ""Sensor preheating" when you try to monitor CO2. I use a Rigol oscilloscope to decode the RS232 and troubleshoot the issue. The fix ends up being really simple, but it's not obvious.
The battery:
amzn.to/3vz51Uv
The scope:
amzn.to/3G8xBRw
The Air Quality Monitor:
amzn.to/2Z8LSgi
EDIT: I DID need to recalibrate mine, but it's easy. Wait for the pre-heating to finish, go into the mode that displays just the C02 ppm, hit the menu button, and select "Calibration zero". Follow the directions on-screen, but you basically just put it outside for a set time.
