For me this is the best Beatles Song. I know many will not agree. there are other hymns like Strawberry Fields, Walrus, Hey Jude, A Day In The Life. But this song is so special because of the context behind it, musically it has a magical aura that for me is inexplicable, even if we look at Ringo, George and Paul and the experiences they had recording this Feeling John's presence. The backing vocals, Lennon's own voice, the arrangements, the guitar with that chorus effect. For me there is no more logical and beautiful conclusion than this song. Above "The End" and "Now and Then" Jeff Lynne did an incredible job, for me it would have been a mistake for Martin to take charge of this I always wanted to hear this lick 35:05 clearly, George was on fire in this one Thank you very much for this work :)
For me I think Real Love feels more like a finale. I've think of the last three Anthology songs as a trilogy starting with Free As A Bird then going into Now and Then and ending with Real Love.
Thanks so much for this. I have the bootleg album version entitled 'The Threetles' but didn't have the harmonies without George's slide solo, where they sang like angels! The suspected there were organs but it’s clear and obvious here.Well done for all of your hard work here!
You know what would be super interesting? Take the early songs the Beatles did where their are two versions, one with Pete Best and one with Ringo Starr and isolate the percussion. I would love to hear a direct comparison of their drumming styles.

I have two wishes, for Real Love, please also extract the Vocals and Backing Vocals from the Kevin Godley Mix. For Now and Then, also the Vocal part of the I Don't want to Lose you section.
