Is that a keyboard glockenspiel? I suspect it is. It's too bright to be a celeste, and the part is so complicated that I doubt one musician is playing this with two mallets (or even four mallets). Also the attack sounds much more like a keyboard glockenspiel.
@@KawhackitaRag As a percussionist and music producer/engineer, I'm about 95% confident this is a glockenspiel/bell set that sounds like one continuous take from a percussionist holding 3 or 4 mallets at once.
This kinda brings tears to my eyes! A masterpiece all around. The performances, the arranging, the engineering, everything!!! I love all the bleed coming through every instrument too!
Fantastic song, every section played it great, also shoutout to songwriters Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson. A super talented couple who wrote so many memorable hits of that era and then had a great career as a singning duo. They also wrote my favourite Diana Ross song "the boss" or "stuff like that" for Quincy Jones, "im every woman" for Chaka Khan and so many more.
