Today we are heading off to my 300 year old Cape Cod cottage to decorate for the coming of Christmas. Gathering up the few hand made ornaments we made from the woods and other fun rustic things, we'll decorate two trees and two mantles.
Let's light the fire and put on some lovely Christmas Music and have a quiet Winter's day in decorating for a cozy New England Christmas. I'll also share a couple of my artworks dedicated to my darling old Cat.
Grab a cup of your favourite tea , coffee, or cocktail and let's spend a day by the sea and in an old Cape Cod cottage :)

Donna, I just love your choice of music for the different parts of your video. l also love the bird sounds, and little Una walking around in and out of the little house. It's so sweet! Your cottage home is absolutely gorgeous and Christmas cozy. I can smell and feel the warmth of the fire. Your area has such a historic and natural beauty. Promise all of us (your fans) that "the book that is not a book" will get finished and published. Loved the preview we were shown on Stephanies' video . Your artwork is needed now more than at any other time as it makes people smile. Your Puss was lucky to have you rescue him and spend his last years in your loving home. Thank you so @linda Hill what a joyful comment. I have thought about making it into a book, but as LaLand already has a writer of Lalande books (with aloyisious) so I'm hesitant. We shall see what 2021 brings :) I'm glad you liked my trip videos and will try and make them when I can, I really wanted to make them as much as I could this month so those stuck at home could get 'out' a bit :)

Simply perfect for what we are all experiencing these days. Love what you did at King's. When we had a fireplace that was not usable, we would place various lite candles. But now with all the flameless available a few could be placed just to give some ambience! This was so relaxing. Merry Christmas to you & your husband. May we all put these days behind us very soon. Donna I have beach envy, love waters edge walking, collecting treasure from the sea, stones, sea shells & stick's.your darling cottage in Cape Cod, is like that of a book once enjoyed on our local beach in Thailand, locked down now in the UK unable to return to our codo, my love of the chateau diaries has guided me to your channel, in lockdown like many, decorating started with Halloween, took on board your U S tradition of fall, and now Christmas 🌲 although Scandinavian and minimal, just realized with my love of shells and collection of sea urchin paperweights in our sun lounge looks more like Cape cod. Loved the swag, the quail eggs and the dehydrated oranges. I've decided that there will be oranges on my tree for next Christmas! 😊 It's wonderful to reflect on those who passed before us, fortunately I have many great memories of family (including pets). Happy Christmas from England Donna. I so wanted to send you some tree decorations but we went into Tier 3 lockdown, unable to travel out of my area and only essential shops open. I sent you a late Christmas card instead which you will eventually receive! Let's all hope next year will be easier for us all but I believe we are going into Tier4 in the new year. Having a 300 yr old cottage is a Christmas gift in itself! The Mantle corner feels ever so quaint and early, perfect. For a minute there, I thought you were going to hang seashells and starfish all over the tree.... maybe next year? Sending you and Una a lovely Christmas wish from here in Hopalong Hollow.

Happy Christmas @Jeri Landers of Hopalong Hollow I DO a sea tree at Bunny Hall, but just haven't had time this month to film it and yes, mussel shells and hot glued cockel shells etc. Maybe I'll film it for New Year's Eve :) I haven't had a moment to comment on your last lovely Christmas post but know that I watched and loved it :)
