Hi, Thanks so much for your comment. Glad you like the cake. I don't make my fondant but use ready to roll fondant which I buy from the shop.

Hi, This was a 16inch by 16inch board. Your board size will be dependent on the size of your template and how much space you want for other things on the board. Hope that helps.

I used a 12 by 8 inch pan. This gave me the height but not the width so had to bake more and cut into long strips to increase the width. You can see that in the video

What do you put on the cake before the fondant?

I covered the cake in ganache which is chocolate and double cream whisked together. Chocolate and double cream in ratio 3:1, melt in microwave, chill in fridge for about 10 mins and then whisk. You could also cover in buttercream if you prefer
